RV University Admissions 2025 is Now Open; 35 UG and PG Programmes on Offer
October 28, 2024: RV University (RVU) will accept applications for admission for the next academic year starting in August 2025. RV University invites prospective students to apply for its 35 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by its nine interdisciplinary schools namely The School of Business, School of Economics and Public Policy, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Design and Innovation, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, School of Film, Media and Creative Arts, School of Law, School of Allied and Healthcare Professions and School for Continuing Education and Professional Studies (SCEPS).

The eligibility criterion for the undergraduate programme is a 10+2 or equivalent completion certificate from CBSE, ISC, IB, Cambridge, State Boards and other Government-recognized boards. The selection will be based on the applicant’s performance in RVU’s selection process. RVU offers merit scholarships to deserving students. In 2024, RVU allocated Rs. five crore for merit scholarships which benefited over 550 students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. The University will continue its commitment to continuously improve its scholarship offerings, thereby supporting the academic dreams of high-performing students. RV University hosts the Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan and Signs Agreement for Cooperation
July 16, 2024: RV University (RVU) has joined a select list of two universities in India with which Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan has signed a mutual cooperation agreement. It provides for training and placement of Indian students in Japan. This pioneering initiative by the Japanese Government aims to address the human resource shortage in Ibaraki Prefecture. Kazuhiko Oigawa, Governor of Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, and Prof. (Dr.) Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice Chancellor, RVU, signed a joint statement in the presence of Dr. (h.c.) A.V.S. Murthy, Chancellor, RVU, and Mr. Tsutomu Nakane, Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru, at the university's campus today. This landmark agreement represents the Japanese Prefectural Government's first such endeavour, demonstrating their dedication to encouraging international cooperation and improving workforce capacities.
Kazuhiko Oigawa is leading an eight-member Japanese delegation representing the prefectural government bodies and industry. The delegation is accompanied by the Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru, Mr. Tsutomu Nakane. RV University is uniquely positioned in India among a few universities offering a credit-bearing Japanese language certificate course, duly approved by the Japan Foundation. This course has received support from the Embassy of Japan in India.
Sharing his delight on the development, Mr. Tsutomu Nakane, Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru said, “RV University, Bengaluru recently established a Japanese Language and Research Centre in the month of February this year. June 7, 2024: RV University (RVU) and Hombale Films have announced a strategic collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the School of Film, Media, and Creative Arts (SoFMCA) at RVU’s Bengaluru campus. This partnership is poised to transform the landscape of undergraduate and postgraduate education in film, media, OTT and creative arts, offering students a unique blend of academic learning and industry exposure. SoFMCA will welcome its first cohort of students in August 2024, with curricula designed to give comprehensive instruction in all aspects of filmmaking and media production. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on industrial experience, equipping students for successful employment in these dynamic disciplines.

RV University’s School of Computer Science & Engineering Hosts "Ingenuity," Showcasing Student Innovations Across Engineering Domains
May 21, 2024: RV University's School of Computer Science and Engineering (SoCSE) held its first semester-end exhibition, "Ingenuity: The Exhibition for Engineering Explorations and Exploring Science," on May 15-16, 2024. The display highlighted the outcomes of student learning in the new "Engineering Exploration" course, which was introduced in February of this year. The Engineering component was augmented by the Exploring Science course, which focused on learning about the scientific components of these projects.
The "Engineering Exploration" course was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical engineering applications. It helped students build a solid foundation in the Internet of Things (IoT). Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of RV University, Dr. Sahana D Gowda, Registrar, and Dr. G. Shobha, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, attended the exhibition's opening ceremony on May 15.
The "Ingenuity" exhibition featured an impressive array of student-led projects from a variety of fields, including assistive technology, computer vision, energy management, healthcare, home automation, intelligent transportation, robotics, smart cities, smart agriculture, space technology, and industrial automation. The event provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their originality and innovation under the supervision of dedicated faculty members.
Several notable efforts included:
- Weather Balloon: Students used helium balloons to launch a small payload including sensors for temperature, altitude, and air quality monitoring to a height of 200 feet. Real-time data was collected from high altitudes to determine the air quality at that level.
- Traffic Light technology: This unique technology optimizes traffic flow by using computer vision to modify green light length based on traffic load.
- The Smart Curtain project intends to transform living environments by designing a window system that adapts to environmental changes, integrates with smart home platforms, and optimizes energy usage.
- Fire Extinguishing and Navigating Robot: This autonomous or remotely controlled robot uses sensors to identify and extinguish flames while navigating different terrains to reduce risks to human firefighters.
- The Silent Sync Glove transforms sign language to spoken words and text, improving communication accessibility for the deaf and dumb people.
- The Metro Fleet Management System monitors passenger counts and adjusts train movement for effective boarding and alighting.
April 02, 2024: The Teen Indie Film Awards (TIFA) 2024, hosted by the School of Film, Media, and Creative Arts at RV University, concluded with resounding success, celebrating the outstanding creativity and talent of young filmmakers from around the world. With over 300 entries spanning 30 countries across six continents, TIFA 2024 showcased the diverse and innovative storytelling of emerging filmmakers. Indian filmmakers shone brightly at TIFA 2024, securing top honors across various categories. Notable winners included Stanzin Idzes from Ladakh, India, acclaimed as Best Director for her film "Ri," and Abhishek Kalal, awarded Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "LEFT."
The event also recognized international talent, with Niamh Collins from Ireland winning Best Film for "Supernova" in the Teen Filmmakers category, and Arthur Casez from France awarded Best Emerging Young Filmmaker (Fiction) for "Alone." The festival premiered three critically acclaimed feature films, including "The Song Keepers" from Australia, "1947: Brexit India," and "Udd Jaa Nanhe Dil" from India, fostering cultural exchange and collaboration between the two countries. Reflecting on the success of TIFA 2024, industry professionals and participants praised the platform for its commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting cultural diversity in filmmaking. Bright people were enrolled in all undergraduate and graduate programmes at the event at the university's six prestigious institutions, including the School of Business, the School of Economics, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, the School of Design and Innovation, and the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The convocation ceremony for the first batch of eight M.Des. graduates, who successfully completed their studies at RVU, gave the introduction course considerable significance. Distinguished guest and dignitary, the former Chief Justice of India, Justice S. Rajendra Babu, whose presence added great honour to the event. Addressing the event he expressed “Witnessing the enthusiasm and dedication of these young minds at RV University fills me with hope for a brighter future. RV University Celebrated its Inaugural Convocation Ceremony
August 1, 2023: Leading liberal arts university RV University recently had its first convocation ceremony, which was a historic occasion for the school, its graduates, and their families. Along with Prof. (Dr.) Y.S.R. Murthy, Founding Vice Chancellor of RV University, Dr. (h.c.) A.V.S. Murthy served as the event's chief officiant. Padma Bhushan recipient Rajeev Sethi, India's first scenographer, attended and gave the Convocation Address as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, eight students were granted Master of Design (M.Des) degrees in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and successful completion of the rigorous and specialized program. These individuals demonstrated exceptional dedication, creativity, and proficiency in their chosen field of design. The ceremony began with a welcome address and annual report presented by Prof. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, RVU who gave an overview of the University’s achievements in the last two years and its vision to be a world-class university.
The Padma Bhushan recipient Shri Rajeev Sethi, who served as the convocation speech' chief guest, remarked, "I can sense a curriculum merging with subsets of varied abilities developing creative programmes for the Future. A genuine manthan that improves lateral learning and visual sensitivity is necessary for our brain. It's important to promote responsible, culturally aware entrepreneurship. Our continually changing ideas of who we want to be must be balanced with the coherence of our culture. The concept of tolerance is viewed more positively when respect is shown for diversity, pluralism, and parallel histories. Only a creative present would be able to accelerate India's future. We need to develop the ability to differentiate what is original from what is derivative as change agents and content producers. The proceedings culminated with the conferring of degrees to all the eight students. Additionally, Ms. Janhavi NP was awarded a medal and merit certificate for her outstanding academic achievement.
June 28, 2023: The 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B. and B.B.A. LL.B. curricula at the RV University School of Law have received approval from the legal education regulator, Bar Council of India. Beginning in August 2023, the School of Law (SoL) degree programmes will be offered, making it RVU's sixth school overall. The School of Law at RVU will provide a variety of programmes that are intended to give students the information, abilities, and moral principles they need to succeed in the legal profession. A five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) or B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D. programme is available to students. Admissions are now being accepted for undergraduate, graduate, and full-time/part-time Ph.D. programmes. Candidates can apply online at https://admissions.rvu.edu.in/, which is the website of the university. Valid CLAT, LSAT, CUET, and RVSAT exam scores are used to determine admission to the UG curriculum. In its first year alone, RVU School of Law established 75 merit scholarships, ranging from 25% to 100% for meritorious candidates.
Additionally, RV University's School of Leadership has created two collaborative programmes in collaboration with Seattle University in the USA. Students will have the option to follow LL.M. route, a dual-degree curriculum, within the first programme. Within five years, students who register in RV University's five-year integrated law course will have the opportunity to earn both an LL.B. from RV University and an LL.M. from Seattle School of Law in the area of specialisation of their choice. An LL.M. student has the option to earn a second LL.M. from Seattle University through the second programme. In addition, Seattle University will grant five students scholarships worth 50% of their tuition. RVU being a research-intensive university has multiple research centres such as the Centre for Human Rights Studies, Centre for Victimological Research and Victim Assistance, Centre for Democracy and Election Studies, Centre for Future of Things, Centre for Legal Aid and Community Engagement, Centre for Law, History and Ideas, etc. Students can choose to be a part of these centres and assist in research and organisation of activities.
June 1, 2023: Teen Indie Film Awards (TIFA), a platform that recognises and celebrates excellence, ideation and creativity in film production announced the nine films that bagged top positions in various categories across Politics, Censorship, and World Cinema Retrospective. TIFA is an annual platform for students from across the world to showcase their creativity and filmmaking skills. The second edition of TIFA was conducted at the RV University campus, with participation from more than 70 entries from across the world.
TIFA 2023 featured screenings of a number of young filmmakers' short films as a means of showcasing their artistic skills. This gave up-and-coming artists a chance to showcase their distinctive storytelling skills and engage with a larger audience. Additionally, the masterclasses taught by seasoned experts provided prospective filmmakers with essential knowledge and direction, assisting them in honing their skills and navigating the industry with confidence. In addition, Dr Piyush Roy, Professor and Founding Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and (Dr.) Dwarika Prasad Uniyal, Pro Vice Chancellor (Development & External Relations), Founding Dean of the School of Business and School of Economics, RV University, unveiled the book "Folk Tales from Bollywood" written by Priyanka Sinha Jha. An agreement between RV University and the Om Puri Foundation was also signed at the event. As she discussed the collaboration between the Om Puri Foundation and RV University, Nandita Puri emphasised, "The Om Puri Foundation was established in Om Puri's honour. In addition to Bharathi Ghoj, which is based on Pandit Nehru's history of influencing some of my works, he has also produced many more classic films.
RV University Organises a Panel Discussion on ‘Reformation of Maintenance Laws’
June 1, 2023: Experts expressed grave worry about the difficulties faced by women who are victims of abusive marriages and emphasised the need to amend the nation's maintenance laws to provide prompt justice for them. They stressed the importance of viewing maintenance as a human rights issue and the necessity for the State to do its part to uphold women's rights while speaking at a panel discussion on "Reformation of Maintenance Laws" sponsored by RV University in collaboration with Vasavya Mahila Mandali. In order to secure a dignified existence, they also underlined the necessity to broaden the notion of maintenance from the existing sustenance levels.
According to a research report by Vasavya Mahila Mandali based on a two-year pan-India study, out of around 3,70,000 cases where women have filed for maintenance, only in 5% of the cases have interim orders for maintenance have been passed and in only 10% of cases execution petitions have been filed, leaving a large proportion of women victims in the lurch and without means of sustenance. The complexity of maintenance regulations and how they affect women's social, economic, and personal well-being were the key topics of debate. The panel requested that a draught of a policy recommendation be created to update India's maintenance rules. They included Mr. Pritam Ghosh, Assistant Professor, School of Law, RV University, Prof. (Dr.) Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Amar Pandey, Former Director General of Police, Karnataka, Ms. Ashwini Obulesh, Attorney, Karnataka High Court, and Dr. Amar Pandey. Vasavya Mahila Mandali President Dr B. Keerthi served as the session's moderator.
RV University organised this panel discussion on maintenance laws in partnership with Vasavya Mahila Mandali with the objective to sensitise the different stakeholders around maintenance laws in India while also discussing possible solutions to the surrounding issues. Maintenance is a legal right that ensures women (and children) have access to financial support (not excluding provision for food, clothing, residence, medical expenses, treatment, etc) after a legal divorce. The university recently signed an MoU with Vasavya Mahila Mandali to support the organisation in its causes of eliminating gender-based violence.
May 17, 2023: To support the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship in India, the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and RV University (RVU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on May 16, 2023. In the presence of Shri S. Ramann, Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI, Prof. Arunkumar A.V., Executive Director and Associate Professor, RVU, as well as other senior members of the faculty, the MoU was signed by Dr. S. S. Acharya, Chief General Manager, SIDBI, and Prof. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice Chancellor, RV University.
This collaboration between SIDBI and RVU aims to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship in India, particularly among young people, and to support economic development in the nation. In accordance with the MoU, SIDBI will introduce a focused course on entrepreneurship for aspirant young people, ITI graduates, aspirant entrepreneurs with NSDC skills, and others. In addition, SIDBI will enable finance connections and mentorship for starting businesses based on particular ideas made by RVU or its Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development. As proposed by SIDBI for onboarding aspiring entrepreneurs, RV University will carry out an impact assessment study of the initiative after the successful completion of the projects. Under the MoU, both institutions will work closely on bridging gaps in the entrepreneurship domain where they can play complementary roles.
RV University School of Law Signs MoU with Seattle University School of Law
March 14, 2023: With Seattle University (SU) in the United States, India's RV University (RVU), which provides new-age liberal education, has struck a historic collaborative agreement. The partnership makes it possible for law students from RVU to continue additional legal education at the Seattle University School of Law and realise their aspirations of joining a multinational workforce.
Recently, Prof. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of RV University, Prof. Eduardo M. Pealver, President of Seattle University, and Prof. Anthony Varona, Dean of the School of Law at Seattle University, signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to that effect. One Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) calls for collaboration in an LL.M. programme, while the other calls for an accelerated LL.M. Both Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) aim to promote student and teacher interchange, joint research, conferences, lectures, and seminars, as well as joint publication initiatives. Two combined programmes will be made available to RVU students in accordance with the Agreement. One is a dual degree programme called the LL.M. route programme. Within five years, students enrolling in RVU's five-year integrated legal programme will be able to earn both an LL.B. from RVU and an LL.M. from the Seattle School of Law in the area of specialisation of their choice. Five RV University students will also get 50% scholarships to study in these collaborative programmes. The second contract pertains to a student enrolled in RVU's LL.M. programme. The student will have the option of going to Seattle University to get a second LL.M.
Seattle University President Professor Eduardo M. Pealver welcomed the MoU, saying, "Signing these Memoranda of Understanding is just the first step in a process of providing chances for students and faculty to engage with one another, both in and out of the classroom. The joint programmes will also provide students with valuable international experience, exposure and knowledge that will further assist them in building their future careers.
RV University hosts 5th International Conference on Cyber Criminology
February 15, 2023: The 5th International Conference of the South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology (SASCV) on the theme of Cyber criminology was held at RV University, India's cutting-edge, technologically advanced global university for liberal education. Today marked the beginning of the two-day conference, which was organised in collaboration with the International Institute of Crime and Security Sciences (IICSS).
Over 260 academics from across the globe, namely India, USA, UK, Nigeria, Philippines, Malaysia, Kosovo, Italy, Dubai, Bangladesh, and Nepal participated in the conference. 60+ papers will be presented during this 2-day conference in three-parallel sessions organized around four tracks: Cyber Criminology, Cyber Criminology and Cyber Law, Cyber Security and Forensics and Cyber Victimology
In her Keynote address, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Racism, Dr. K.P. Ashwini emphasized the need for zero tolerance for hate speech, both offline and online. Expressing serious concern over offensive comments based on social identities, she observed that online hate speech has led to increasing in violence across the globe. Emphasising the urgent need to address such crimes which have accelerated in recent times, she called for strengthening international law to address it squarely. Stating that criminal justice system is not only about the law enforcement system she said that it must also protect the human rights of victims and survivors.
The conference's goal was to bring together specialists from a variety of professions to discuss and share viewpoints on the most recent and important issues in cyber criminology, cyber victimology, cyber legislation, and cyber forensics. The plan also included addressing more contemporary problems that develop as a result of the dynamic nature of cyberspace. The conference's key topics included legislation and regulations, security and forensic methods, the effects on victims, and the interconnectedness of cybercrime. Over the course of two days, it featured more than 60 paper presentations on a range of cyber criminology-related subjects, including trafficking, cyberterrorism, digital footprinting, and transnational crimes, among others.
February 7, 2023: Bryant University in Rhode Island, USA, and RV University, India's cutting-edge liberal arts university, have signed a historic Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). For mid-to senior-level corporate executives who want to upgrade their abilities and gain global knowledge and exposure, it aims to co-create and co-deliver a high-quality, high-impact, flexible EMBA curriculum.
The MoA was signed by Bryant University’s Provost and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Rupendra Paliwal and RVU’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Y.S.R. Murthy in the presence of Dr. M.P. Shyam, President, Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), Dr. (h.c.) AVS Murthy, Chancellor, RVU and Mr. D.P. Nagaraj, Pro Chancellor, RVU along with other Trustees of RSST.
The RVU Executive Education Campus at Jayanagar in Bengaluru will host the 18-month, cohort-based EMBA programme. Students will take the course in person at Bryant University in the United States as part of a global immersion programme. Along with other industry veterans and luminaries, the programme will be taught by senior teachers from RVU and Bryant University's renowned global faculty.
RV University Announces Admissions Open for 2023-24 Academic Year
December 7, 2022: The new-age liberal arts institution in India, RV University, has started accepting applications for the academic year 2023–2024. In its six schools—the School of Business, the School of Economics, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, the School of Design and Innovation, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and its recently established School of Law—the university is now accepting applications for admission to all of its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Candidates can apply online at https://admissions.rvu.edu.in/, which is a page on the university's website. A Class 12 or equivalent completion certificate from a CBSE, ISC, IB, Cambridge, State Boards, or other government-recognised board is required for admission to the undergraduate programme. The RV Scholastic Admission Test (RVSAT) results and the selection method used by RV University will serve as the basis for the selection criteria. The admission test for all UG and PG programmes at RV University is called RVSAT. Deserving students can apply for merit scholarships from the university.
RV University Inks MoU With Mu Sigma To Build And Implement The Job-Oriented Programme
April 6, 2022: RV University in Bengaluru and Mu Sigma have inked an MoU to offer a unique four-year BSc (Hons.) curriculum in Decision Sciences. This is India's first apprenticeship-based UG programme, similar to the Co-Op idea popularised by colleges in the United States and Canada.
This four-year programme offered by RVU's School of Computer Science and Engineering allows students to learn at the University while also training as apprentices at Mu Sigma, with half of the curriculum spent as an apprenticeship at Mu Sigma.
RV University's School of Computer Science and Engineering and Mu Sigma, the world's largest pure-play data analytics organisation delivering data science solutions, collaborated to build and implement the job-oriented programme.
During this programme, students will have the opportunity to work on current Fortune 500 company problems. They will spend half of their time working on real-world projects and the other half at university, building a solid foundation in principles, skills in the emerging technology field of decision sciences, and life skills that will be crucial for their future.

Chief Minister Of Karnataka Inaugurates Two New Schools At RV University
December 9, 2021: Shri Basavaraj Bommai, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, inaugurated RV University today (RVU). He also announced the establishment of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, as well as the School of Business, which will begin classes in 2022. Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Karnataka's Minister for Higher Education, and several other dignitaries attended the occasion. Covid scholarships and merit scholarships introduced by the institution were presented to students by the Chief Minister and the Minister of Higher Education.
A B Tech (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering and a BSc (Hons) in Data Science, Decision Science, and Computer Science will be offered by the newly established School of Computer Science and Engineering. A BBA (Hons) in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, and Human Resource Management will be offered by the new School of Business. A B Com (Hons) with emphasis in Banking & Finance, Risk Management, and Audit will also be available. In addition, starting in 2022, the RVU School of Business will offer an Executive MBA programme for working professionals.
"It gives me enormous pleasure to inaugurate a university of such calibre," stated Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Basavaraj Bommai in his Inaugural Address. “Democracy is not restricted to elected officials; it encompasses all of the country's population. Rather than a structural democracy, there is a growing demand for an actively engaged democracy. This can only be accomplished by students, who are tomorrow's pathbreakers. Students that attend institutions like RV University are not only enlightened, but they also blaze a light for future generations", he continued

The technology-enabled new-age university aspires to provide a holistic and inclusive education that will help the next generation of students become well-rounded persons. The university will emphasise on skilling and employability of students, as well as knowledge development, in accordance with the New Education Policy (NEP). The curriculum will be updated to reflect worldwide technological advancements, and teaching will be hands-on and encourage self-learning.
RV University Launches PhD Programme To Promote Research
October 21, 2021: RV University, based in Bengaluru, has launched a PhD programme in its inaugural academic year as part of its mission to become a research-intensive university. The PhD programme will be offered in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Economics and Finance during the current admission cycle. In the School of Design's next admission cycle, a practice-based PhD will be accessible.
Film Studies, Organisational Psychology, Law, Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies, Political Science (Indian Political Thought and Indian Politics), International Relations, Modern Indian History (Socio-Cultural History of Modern India), and Indology are among the PhD focus areas in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Applications are being accepted in the departments of Economics, Marketing, Finance and Banking, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources, and Strategy at the School of Economics and Finance.
There are possibilities for both full-time and part-time PhD programmes. The part-time option is designed to allow working professionals to obtain PhD degrees. RVU's research supervision will be provided by a group of faculty with extensive experience in both academia and practice. In a given academic year, there will be two admission cycles.
RVU has formed partnerships with a number of national and international universities and organisations, including the University of Essex, the Scottish Centre of Tagore Studies (University of Edinburgh), the Justice Initiative Foundation in Bangalore, and others. The University is currently in the process of forming collaborative PhD programmes with worldwide universities, allowing PhD scholars to acquire a doctorate from two universities: RVU and the partner university.
The application deadline for admission to the PhD program is currently open at https://rvu.edu.in/phd/. Candidates having a Master's degree and a minimum grade point average of 55 percent are encouraged to apply. The deadline for application submission is November 13, 2021. Eligible candidates will be invited to participate in the selection process, which will comprise a written entrance exam and a viva voce interview. RV University Launches New-Age School Of Economics And Finance; Offers Industry-Ready UG And PG Programmes
September 7, 2021: For brilliant students who want to fulfil the industry's dynamic expectations, RV University has developed a new-age School of Economics and Finance. Professor Dwarika Uniyal, who has over 20 years of experience in academia and industry, has been named as the School's Founding Dean.
This school offers a well-balanced combination of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes. It will provide BA (Hons), (Economics), BCom (Hons), and BBA (Hons) degrees this year, as well as a full-time and part-time PhD programme. It will begin MA (Economics) and MBA programmes in 2022.
The programme has been carefully crafted to meet the industry's rapidly changing needs. Students pursuing a BBA (Hons) in Entrepreneurship and Finance will be able to pursue careers in FinTech, Value Investing, Banking, and Insurance. RV University Institutes 100 Scholarships In Its First Year
August 6, 2021: RV University, based in Bangalore, has instituted about 100 scholarships for deserving students and those affected by Covid-19. These were put in place during the first year of school to improve access to education.
For qualifying students who have lost one or both parents due to Covid-19, RVU has agreed to give a scholarship equivalent to 100 per cent of the tuition fee. This scholarship will cover ten students in each of the three schools that deal with Liberal Arts and Sciences, Design, and Economics and Finance.
In addition, RV University has instituted a number of school-specific scholarships. In the School of Economics & Finance, which offers BBA, BCom, and BA (Economics) programmes, ten students who earned 95 per cent or higher in their Class 12 or Pre-University Course (PUC) examination will get a 100 per cent tuition fee waiver. About 25 students in the BBA and BCom programmes, as well as 15 students in the BA (Economics) programme, will get a scholarship worth 25 per cent of their tuition fee if they scored between 80 per cent and 95 per cent in their qualifying exams.
In the current academic year 2021-22, the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences has set aside Rs 15 lakh for scholarships. These scholarships are available to individuals who meet the academic standards and have proven remarkable co-curricular and extra-curricular activity on a national and international level. The award amount is determined by RV University's Scholarship Committee and is consistent with the student's achievements.
A total of Rs 15 lakh has been set aside in the School of Design for scholarships for students pursuing four-year BDes and two-year MDes degrees in 2021-22. They are given out depending on their performance in the UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design) and the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID Design Aptitude Test) (DAT). Those with a UCEED rank of 1-400 or a DAT score of 81-100 will receive 50 per cent of their annual tuition price as a scholarship. UCEED Rank 401-800 and NID-DAT Marks 66-80 will receive a scholarship of 30 per cent of the annual tuition charge. 15 per cent of the tuition cost will be paid as a scholarship to individuals who received a UCEED rank of 801-1500 or a NID-DAT score of 51-65.
These awards will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. The scholarship will be renewed if the student does well in the first year. Any of the above scholarships are available to students.
Alumni Scholarships worth Rs 25,000 per annum have been instituted by the RV University for students who have previously studied at any of the RV colleges and have acquired their first degree/certificate from RV Educational Institutions. They will be eligible for the scholarship in subsequent years if they pass all of their classes in a given academic year and maintain good attendance and conduct.

Placements: We are the first batch. Companies are coming now. They said placements are aligned with the RVCE. We have to see what will happen with our batch. Currently, I am in the 5th semester, we have to see when we enter the 6th semester and get full-time placements.
Placements: Many people were placed in the placements. In my course, we have up to 120 students. A lot of us were offered internship opportunities. I'm not sure about top recruiting companies, but I'm sure there are plenty of them. I am not sure about the highest or lowest packages offered either.
Placements: Since the college is new, the starting packages received through placements isn't a lot, but due to placements taking place side by side with RVCE, we are able to get placements in well-established companies. It is expected that as time progresses, the placements will get better and better.
Placements: Yet the college I am studying only has third-year students i.e., fifth-semester students and we don't have any of the students batch passouts from our college, so I have no idea about the placement and the other college, i.e., Rv College of Engineering, has had 93 percent on-campus placement in the past year.
Placements: Placements are very good in our college. We are combined with rvce, and we all know rvce is good at placement. Our highest placement is 24 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA. About 75% of people got internships at our college. Samsung, TCS, and other brands are among the most popular.
Placements: RV University recently started its B.Tech course, and the oldest batch is currently in the third year. Currently, internship placements are going on (rather unsuccessfully), but it will get better with time as the college has great brand value due to RV College of Engineering.
