It's absolutely a good university with good infrastructure. Hostels are not good.
Placements: Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology generally boasts a strong placement record, with a high percentage of students (around 85-90%) getting placed, particularly in ECE. The average package is usually between 4-6 LPA, with top companies like Amazon and Microsoft offering significantly higher packages reaching up to 30-40 LPA. However, the lowest packages may be around 2.5-3 LPA from mass recruiters like TCS and Wipro.
Infrastructure: Library: Some say the library is excellent and has books available. Labs: Some say the labs are good and have advanced facilities. Classrooms: Some say the classrooms are neat and have good-quality desks. Wi-Fi: Some say the Wi-Fi is good and available in the labs and library. Campus: Some say the campus is beautiful and clean. Sports facilities: Some say the sports facilities are excellent. Food: Some say the food quality in the mess and canteen is good.
Faculty: The faculty is knowledgeable, dedicated, and supportive. Some say the faculty go beyond teaching and act as mentors. Curriculum: The curriculum includes courses on professional ethics, gender, human values, environment, and sustainability. Universal Human Values is a 3-credit course in all engineering programs. Industry-specific electives are offered in the sixth, seventh, and eighth semesters. The curriculum accommodates credit transfers through Semester-abroad Programs, Internships Abroad Programs, and MOOC courses.
Other: Sathyabama events often showcase student-developed projects, demonstrating strong technical skills across various engineering disciplines.

One of the best colleges in Chennai, but dissatisfied with staff and placements.
Placements: It is okay as of now because there is a rush in present times; there are no placements at the moment, so we can excuse it for now. Placement is too low everywhere, and in our college, for example, in a CSE program, there are 800 students, but only 400 of them were placed.
Infrastructure: The conditions were not good; it was suffocating in classrooms. In hostels, there are a lot of water problems, and during the rainy season, we used to have a lot of fear due to the rainwater. The food was average, and the hostel rules were too strict.
Faculty: The faculty was average, and the exams were too strict. They were not so highly qualified, and they need to improve their facilities. They also need to recruit the best-qualified teachers. The exams were too strict, and within 70 days, the semester will end. The time is too short for exams and less time for completion of the syllabus.

Honest review on Sathyabama.
Placements: I took Computer Science and Engineering, so the first two years were online. The faculty doesn’t care about teaching the easiest methods and logic about coding. Regarding placements, everything seems made up. You will get a placement and offer letter, but you won’t receive a call from the company.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure, Sathyabama provides the best infrastructure in Chennai. Hostel food is excellent; Sathyabama offers the best food in Chennai. Hostel accommodation is also nice, with larger rooms and good food for hostelers. Everything is great for hostelers.
Faculty: Faculty is not very good, and the planning of the academic curriculum is also not up to the fee that we pay. The faculty doesn’t teach easy methods to learn coding. In placements, you aren’t allowed to attend another company drive once you get a company. You will be blocked in placement portals.
Other: Regarding connectivity, there is bus transport from the bus and railway station. Fests and cultural events happen twice a year. Scholarships and extracurricular activities like hackathons, startup innovation hubs, and everything else will be there.

Absolutely Best College for Studies.
Placements: Compared to the budget, it is the best college because with a low amount of money, we can learn a lot of information from Sathyabama regarding study. It is one of the finest colleges with low college fees. Sathyabama University is the best college with a lot of opportunities, including a 40 Lacs package.
Infrastructure: In Sathyabama University, there is full Wi-Fi with excellent labs. The library is the best for brilliant students, with a lot of books placed for study. The faculty of Sathyabama University is the best, with a cool mindset. There is also a fine hospital and canteen.
Faculty: In Sathyabama University, faculty will help you to do your best in studies. They will assist during exam preparation, and exams are not so difficult. Nice university, worth your college fee. We can easily score 85% in exams.

Don’t judge a college by its infrastructure.
Placements: Around 80% of the students were placed last year, and the highest package bagged was 53 LPA. The average package is around 5-6 LPA. Top recruiters at our college are Amazon, Hitachi, Hyundai, HCL, etc. The most offered course in my college is CSE and IT. There are placement classes conducted for which they ask extra fees, and these classes are really boring compared to the regular classes. But there is no other option for students, and they fall into this rat race.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good, but especially day scholars aren't able to make use of the facilities, for example, the basketball ground, indoor stadium, and even the library at times. Whereas the hostellers have access, the hostels are really in very bad condition in my college. They prefer being in PGs than staying in hostels. The mess is somewhat good, but only for the non-vegetarians; all vegetarians suffer at the mess. No kind of sports activities are conducted by the college for the students at all. All the ground, stadium, and courts are just for showcase purposes only.
Faculty: Only a few faculty members are friendly with us, whereas the majority of them talk to students in a rude manner. They also lack vocabulary in their communication with students. The course curriculum is relevant, and semester exams are easy to moderate level. The passing percentage is also pretty good.
Other: I chose CSE because it is the growing culture in development and a highly successful sector. They could have done the course better by teaching everything on a practical basis rather than with just notebook and pen. Fests in our college appear like once in a blue moon, and just for a single day each year for students. The campus is really overcrowded, and some events are conducted in the name of extracurricular activities.

Students Struggle In Sathyabama.
Placements: The highest package: 54 LPA, the lowest package: 2.5 LPA, Average package: 5.2 LPA. There are a lot of opportunities in our college, with nearly 3,000 members attending the interview every year, and almost 95% of students got placed. Sathyabama placements seem to be above average.
Infrastructure: Very low infrastructure and cheap classes. No AC, no proper Wi-Fi on campus and in hostels. Even mobile data also roams very poorly. The worst hostel rooms, no water 24/7. Only in the morning, we have to fill water in tubs and buckets. Drinking water should be bought. A 5-liter water can costs around 10-20 Rs.
Faculty: Examinations are conducted very strictly, and question papers are very tough to write. The time they have given is sufficient to write the exam. The pass percentage in our college is: external should be 30 out of 100, and internals are conducted by 50. By calculating both, it should be equal to or more than 50. External definitely should be more than 30 marks.
