It is an amazing campus with excellent infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students got placed in the top MNCs. The average salary package offered was somewhere around 8 to 15 LPA. The year I passed out, the top companies picking up students were Amazon, HP, BHEL, Flipkart, and many others. Many were placed in good positions and were placed worldwide.
Infrastructure: We had everything that would be required for the course, be it labs, department library as well as the central library. Classrooms were well spacious fitted with the latest projection equipment, and every class had a studio with a drawing board for each student. The hostel was the best place and truly was a home away from home. Hostels were no less than some luxury resorts.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them were residing on the campus itself so making them more easily approachable and friendly. The course structure was framed aptly and was updated from time to time. Nothing was difficult if students paid attention to classes and some self-study. Exams can be easily passed with a good percentage if students attend the class regularly and follow the lecture properly.
Other: Campus life was the best. Describing it in the words won't do justice to the beauty of the campus. It was a 500-acre lush green campus in the laps of Aravali Range. It is well connected through air, rail, and road.

The college life and education provided are great.
Placements: There are no placements for the architecture branch. You have to make your architectural design portfolio and then apply in various firms of your own choice. Most of the times, if the jurors get impressed with your portfolios, they will you as interns. Well-reputed people in the architecture sector of India are called for design juries. Many students are hired in various workshops organised by the college. The workshops like Bamboo workshop organised by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, gave good opportunities for the students to get into their ongoing projects in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. This campus comes under top 25 beautiful campuses across the world. The campus is well maintained. We have smart classes, and attendance is maintained by ERP. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The weather is amazing, and the skies are awesome. The infrastructure is designed by famous architects by keeping in mind the students' interests. There are 7G labs, dance studios, and a state of the art auditorium. The college itself has many structural elements which are very attractive. Hostel facilities are good. New hostels are very lavish for students. Medical facilities are also available within the campus. Basketball courts are also available here, and the college also conducts a sports fest.
Faculty: We have experienced faculty members who completed their education from designated architectural colleges. They provide practical knowledge, and they also teach concepts to qualify in competitive exams. They also train the students for the GATE exam, and they conduct extra classes if needed. As the teachers live on the campus, you are always invited to ask your doubts at the nearby canteen or any place. The course curriculum can be amended by an MME (mentor-mentee meeting), in which the HOD talks with topper student, an average student and poor student regarding their performances in exams.
Other: Many events and interactive sessions are very common. College fests and Dj nights are organised here. Every small event is celebrated in the college with great zeal. Funding is done by the college for various competitions. Sports teams are also taken great care of.

Review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
Placements: 90% of students were placed. The lowest salary offered is 30000 per month and the highest salary offered is 80000 per month. The top companies for our course include the architectural and planning practices of well-known architects. The top roles include professor and senior architect.
Infrastructure: Labs, sufficient Wi-Fi, spacious classrooms, computer labs, etc. are provided. The hostel provides fine and good food facilities, with timely mess and light-night cafe service. We have a medical aid centre that offers first aid and also has a very good doctor facility.
Faculty: Highly qualified teachers are there. Good projects to train us for the future. The difficulty of the exams is moderate. It covers everything tough in the class. 37 marks out of 100 are passing marks. The students are made ready to face all the difficulties they will face during their jobs through their courses.
Other: I chose the college because it has good infrastructure and has a good ranking amongst the other colleges in India.

Our college is a beautiful and wonderful place to study and spend your college life.
Placements: Placements in our college are good as Tata Consultancy, and other big companies come for placements. Many students got a minimum package of Rs. 30,000 per month while many students have achieved good posts at the starting of their career itself. SMVDU-TBIC allows you to focus on entrepreneurship which inspires students to do creative and innovative works in their field than earning money.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very beautiful and peaceful campus with an awesome view of Trikuta and Kailash mountains directly from the university. The holy mountain Vaishno Devi is directly visible from our college. The college possesses great architectural beauty with solar facilitated infrastructures. It has a mixed culture and various plants, and trees which keep the campus life alive.
Faculty: Faculty are supportive and always ready for your help. They also teach you various good things that are out of syllabus, and a learner cannot learn from anywhere else which is admirable. In every semester, feedbacks are taken which allow you to give your point of view about any faculty member whether it is positive or negative.

SMDU campus has best ambience to study, average faculty, and above average infrastructure.
Placements: In my college, for architecture branch, there are no placements directly instead students need to apply for any job after when they completed their graduation in B.Arch. In the 7th semester, students are required to make one portfolio having all the relevant work for getting the internship in their favourite firm. Salary does not matter during the internship, the thing which matters is how good the firm is. So getting into a reputed firm makes students compete to get into it on the basis of their portfolio.
Infrastructure: This university is situated in the foothills of Trikuta hills, so the architecture of the college is different from contemporary one. The university used to have fewer funds before, so the infrastructure was minimal. The university has increased the fees, so the infrastructure is getting better with a whole Wi-Fi network all around campus, projectors in each classroom having smart capabilities and the library is the best part about this college. In terms of its architecture and the variety of books available for architecture are average. University does lack in its medical facilities where the staff is not that responsive. Food available in a mess is like any other college which students don't like, and apart from it there is Sagar Ratna, Funbites, Nescafe and grocery stores which serves good food, but there is no non-veg allowed inside the campus. Hostel infrastructure is being on revamping.
Faculty: The faculty are qualified, but their teaching is just average. You will not get the faculty members like that in SPA or JJ college. For every 20 students, there is one teacher. Regarding the exposure, we do have some visits like once per semester. The curriculum is just okay.
Other: University has got the best auditorium across whole Jammu and Kashmir which hosts various cultural activities and events like Titiksha (technical fest), Resurgence ( cultural fest). The campus crowd is just average you will find very few people who study hard. I would rate 10 out of 10 for the campus surroundings as hills and greenery surround it. One can get pure oxygen here as the campus is far away from any industrial city, free from overpopulation and pollution. Meritorious students do get 50 percent scholarship on their tuition fee.

SMVDU has the great infrastructure, and the quality of the education is good.
Placements: There are no placements in SMVDU for B.Arch course. However, my B.Tech batchmates were placed in TCS, Nestle among the other MNC. No internships are offered from the college. The students gather for their internships. In B.Arch, a 6-month internship is mandatory in the 5-year course, but the college doesn't help with this, and the students acquire their internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities are great at SMVDU, with a vast library and the Wi-Fi departments. The projectors are installed in each studio. The medical facilities have gained impetus, with Narayana Hospital just across the road. The food quality is high as per the standard, and the hostel rooms are big and spacious with ample ventilation. The only problem faced was the lack of medical supplies during my initial days at the college, but now that has been resolved.
Faculty: The faculty members in the initial years of the course were limited, and they didn't pay much attention to the students. Now the scenario has changed in the past two years, and with the new recruitment, the teaching quality has improved. The student-faculty ratio as per the council of architecture norms is low. The industry exposure for the architecture was considerably low with no field visits as the college is far from the main city. The trips that used to take place were limited.
Other: The college is relatively new and is on its way to emerging as an amazing university for the various courses. I would personally suggest the college to be more open regarding participation in extracurricular activities and trips to different areas and field visits. The exposure is important and must be explored vastly during the college years.
