Good placements in 2016, but 2017 was a great setback to the institute.

Placements: The institute has got its name and fame just because of its placement. Many well-known companies visit this institute and recruit excellent students, and the placement rate average is also quite good here. The required CGPA is nearly equal to 7.5 which is a must to sit in a campus recruitment process. The placed student seems quite satisfied after getting placement from here.

It is good enough for a student.

Placements: The placement is good, but the education patterns are not. And also, some teachers are not up to the quality. But the placement is nice. Good companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, etc., are coming to the college and selecting many students. I think this problem should be fixed in the coming years. I am studying in 2nd year. So, I am looking forward for the new coming companies in which I can prove myself.

The placements will be an issue for some coming years.

Placements: The current batch has been worried about the placements, following the fake placement allegations due to which a lot of good multinational companies used to be one of the major placement companies which are banned for many years. Before that, the placements are well.

It is a good college to study.

Placements: Earlier, placements were very good. But nowadays, it is decreasing. In the present situation, students of every branch have to learn computer programming. The companies coming nowadays are software companies. As I am from electrical engineering, I don't want to go for the software companies, but still, if I want placement, I have to learn C Java etc.

Not satisfied with the placements of 2017 batch.

Placements: In our batch, many of the students were placed. But, we faced an unfortunate situation, at the end of 2016, some of the fraud companies came to our college for recruitment. 50% of the students were placed. The highest package was 6 lakhs. Many reputed companies like Deloitte, Capgemini, L&T came to the college. The roles were like graduate engineer trainee, software developer, a software tester.

This is the best college for getting your bachelors degree.

Placements: We have a great performance in the branches of CS and ECE. But the core branches like mechanical and civil don't have a good performance. This is a great college for getting placed in the IT industry. There is mass recruitment from the IT companies like TCS, Infosys and Tech Mahindra with very good packages.

Dissatisfied with the placements in core branches. The quality of the teaching is excellent.

Placements: The placement percentage is quite good though most of the students are placed in software companies, and very few got placed in core companies. The average package lies between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The placement cell is very efficient and useful. The highest package recruiter was Amazon, a year ago.

Satisfied with the faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements used to be high during 2008-2014. Now it has decreased slightly but not less. Most of the computer science students get placed by the end of the course. The core branches like mechanical and civil find it hard to get placed. The lowest salary offered was from Indigo like Rs. 13,000. TVS Motor gives internship every year with a job upon successful completion of the internship.

Everything is good, but the placement is not at all good.

Placements: In 2015 batch, 50% to 55 % students were placed. In 2016 batch, the percentage of placement is a little bit higher, which is approximately 60% to 65%. In the civil and mechanical branch, the placement rate is low, which is 30% to 40%. In CS branch, the rate is approximately 80%. For the rest of the branches, it is 50%. The salary offered is between 1.8 LPA to 6 LPA. The average salary offered was 3 LPA. The main companies which visit for placements are TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra etc. There is n...

The college is neither the best nor the worst. You can join if you have the money.

Placements: The placement percentage in ITER is 100%. More than 50 companies visit the campus for the placements. For the mass recruitment, there are companies like Infosys and TCS. The average salary offered is 3.5 LPA. The big companies like Amazon also visit, but they select only 2-3 persons and offer 15 LPA.

Good infrastructure, mediocre curriculum. Come to enjoy the graduation life.

Placements: The placements are quite good. Nearly 80-85 students got placed. The companies like TCS, Infosys, L&T, Syntel, Mindtree etc. have come to the college for campus placements. The authorities try hard for maximum placements. The package is around 5-7 lacs per annum, which is quite good for a fresher.

Institute of Technical Education and Research through the years.

Placements: The placements were in line with most of the good colleges. This was a continuation of the previous placements. Through the years, the placements have been up there with the best colleges. The fiascos here and there should not be taken into consideration. All the quality students are placed in the good companies.

An awesome college. Great learning experience.

Placements: The college has one of the best placement drives in the state of Odisha. The placement department gives ample opportunities for deserving students. The great placements overall. There is the best placement officer to give the best opportunity. The highest package gets increasing every year as the competition increases. You need to be well aware of the subjects to get placed. The companies conducting drives vary from startups to various MNCs. Infosys, TCS, Deloitte, TEKsystems, Byjus, etc., come ...

Satisfactory, manageable and good.

Placements: In our senior batch or the ongoing batch (December 2017), there is fewer number of placements. But in 2015, there was about 85% placement. TCS took about 860 students that year. After 2015, the placements are reduced. The companies like TCS, Infosys, Zycus, Intel, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra and Mahindra, etc., have visited our college. Even some big companies such as Amazon, Think and Learn have come.

The details of the Institute of Technical Education and Research.

Placements: The average package received by the students is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annum. CSE, CSIT and ECE students are getting good placement every year. Last year, 1 CSE student got selected by Adobe with 20 LPA package. This year, Amazon selected 5 students with 2 of them getting 20 LPA, and Adobe selected 2 students with 24 LPA. The internship opportunities are given to all the students. In core branches, placement is an issue in our college. SOA is the 20th best university in India.

Good placements in 2016. Totally dissatisfied because of communication gap. Infra is average.

Placements: Most of the time, it is around 80 to 85% placement for eligible students (i.e. with 60%). If you had less than 60% in 10th and 12th, there is a very less chance that you will get placed. The placement starts with few good companies like Deloitte, Mu Sigma, etc. and then one mass recruiter (either TCS or Infosys) would take the major chunk of the batch- around 40% of the total eligible students. Few recruiters give more than 4 lakh per annum but only 3 to 4 companies. Rest of the companies' packa...

There are mixed feelings after passing out of the college, only I can say is it is a good college.

Placements: The placements were good for our senior batch, but not good enough or up to the mark for our batch. A lot is promised while joining but in reality, it is not what was promised to us, but a very less percentage of my friends are placed in good companies, rest are either unplaced or placed off-campus.

Placements: The placement of our batch was quite good, though the market was not doing well. Almost 50% of the students got placed. The well-known MNCs like the TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc., had visited the campus and took a good number of students. The placement for the previous batch was quite good too, but looking at the availability of the openings, the placement for our batch was good too.

It is the best university in the state of Orissa in my opinion.

Placements: The placement is quite good in our university comparing to any other government or Pvt. engineering college. More than 80 companies came to our college for hiring the students from our college, and the placements are still going on. Till now, about 400 students among the 700 qualified students have got their placements in many reputed companies like Dell, Infosys, Zycus, Capgemini, Texas instruments, etc.
