Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at SPMVV

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech programs at SPMVV:

    * Placement Opportunities: The college provides opportunities for on-campus placements through its Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) program. Students can also opt for off-campus placements by applying directly to companies.
    * Top Package Offered: The highest package offered in the reviewer's batch was INR12 Lacs Per Annum.

Good infrastructure, but it would be better if they brought more placements for this year.
Placements: 60-70% of students get placed every year, but due to some recession this year, not many students got placed. The highest package offered by our university is 10 LPA and also offers a minimum package of 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our university are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Face, Syntel, Accenture, and many more. Every student must complete an internship in their final years of college, so almost 99% of students got internships across various cities of their choice in different companies. As an ECE student, you have the choice to go with both software and core, so when it comes to core roles you can join as a Design Engineer, Embedded Engineer, System Analyst, etc. On the software side, you can learn any language and become a Software Engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college provides various infrastructural facilities like a hostel, cafeteria, library with a wide range of collections, etc. The university also provides ATM facilities, an indoor stadium, and a gym to the students. The quality of all these facilities mentioned above is of utmost quality, and the food in the mess and canteen is very good, especially the breakfast provided in the morning. They have various sports accessories like balls, shuttlecocks, nets, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and deliver their knowledge to the students very clearly. The curriculum is made according to the branches, which prepares them for the real world. I rate the difficulty of semester exams as 4 out of 5, and the exams are conducted very strictly. The pass percentage is good.
Other: I chose ECE because I can choose both software and core electronics, so that's the advantage of ECE. I wish that more core companies would have been brought in. The events are conducted every year and have fests. The participation of students in these activities is also very high. The surroundings are more beautiful, and scholarships are provided for students with good AP EAMCET and JEE Main scores.

College life at SPMVV, Tirupati, is excellent.
Placements: 25 percent of students got placed, but there is no 100% placement in ECE, and the highest package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Cognizant, Range and Hexaware, Zoho, and many more. 55% of students got internships from ECE at Anudip Foundation, Zoho, Palle Technologies, Kodnest, etc.; the top roles offered are ASE and application development, Java development, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities they are providing are good; there are a wide range of labs and classrooms and good infrastructure; there are two libraries in the college; full Wi-Fi is available in the college; the quality of food and hostel facilities is medium; there is a ground in the college to play; yoga classes are available in the morning; and there is also a small medical hospital in the college; they provide tables and all.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful; they have good knowledge and are qualified; the teaching faculty is very good; yes, the course curriculum is relevant; it makes 50% of students ready based on the knowledge. The students can pass easily if they prepare. It is easy to study because there will be only 5 chapters in each subject. Pass percentage is 95%; only some students fail.
Other: I chose the course based on my ECE rank, and I am doing the course on ECE. The course provides that we can work in both IT and non-IT. The overall course is good; it makes us study 40 subjects; there is no need for improvement in the course. There may be many festivals every year, like Techfest, Virinchi, and Fairvel, and also many camps like entrepreneurship awareness camps.

Good faculty, placement are growing gradually and campus life is very interesting.
Placements: Students who have above 75% are placed easily. The recruiting companies are Accenture, Cognizant, and TCS. The companies conduct interviews in both online and offline modes. We have attended more than one interview. Based on your choice, you should join. Recently, Cognizant conducted an interview. Students are also performing very well.
Infrastructure: In the college and hostel, we have 24/7 free Wi-Fi available, and the labs are efficient. Sanitation is maintained properly. We have a physical health care center available anytime, a yoga center, a sports club, etc. We have an open ground for sports, including an indoor auditorium.
Faculty: Every week, we have a mentoring hour. On my campus, the curriculum is prepared according to current company requirements. The current R-23 regulation is followed. Semester exams are conducted very strictly. We also have an evaluation process. Students definitely learn new skills to build their careers.
Other: We have one technical event and one non-technical event every week. Hackathons and entrepreneurship events are also conducted randomly.

    Except food, everything is good.
Placements: My seniors this year got placed in companies like Wipro, Accenture, etc. They only provide internships for us and as this is a self-financed college exam center, it is also in our college itself. Due to the recession period, placements are difficult. They are recruiting the best-performing students as of this year only.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good. As we have adjusted for food, it is not up to the mark. Wi-Fi is available in the college and hostels. Medical facilities are available. Sports are also encouraged here; they also encourage people to participate in the tournaments and South Zone competitions too.
Faculty: In computer science engineering, the faculty are well knowledgeable. However, we have also contributed to it. Here, the facilities are almost all Ph.D.s in their respective subjects. Almost everyone will pass; I think 90% of students have passed their semester exams.

Neither satisfactory but nor too bad.
Placements: Placements are very less and that too with minimum package. Nowadays, placements are increasing but they still need to improve. I am not satisfied with the college. There is only one product based company (zoho) which comes to the campus. This is the only with the highest package.
Infrastructure: There are several blocks for hostel. We can't expect which block will be given for B.Tech. Some block are good but some are very bad, even without sunlight. In hostel, food is completely veg. Taste is very bad. Better to take outside hostels. But the college hostel charge an average of 2.7k INR per month.
Faculty: Faculty is okay. Marks in the exams are not satisfactory. Sometimes, marks do not depend on what we have written in the exams. For CSE, python was not included in the curriculum at our time. Friendship with faculty is important to succeed. They help us whenever we need them.

Our college had good placements in 2022 and non-vegetarian food is available.
Placements: In our college, almost 80% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies like Cognizant, Amazon, Zoho, Hashdln, etc., visit our campus. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The frequency of Wi-Fi is low. The library is good and all types of books are available. Medical facilities are good and interested members can join sports. Our hostel building is too old so facilities are fewer in our hostel. Our college does not serve non-vegetarian food, and some hostels do not have a proper network.
Faculty: The course curriculum is mostly not relevant to our department, as our CSE department mostly gets core subjects from ECE so it does not help us much. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 98%. Our teachers are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
