We have a balcony to their room so that they could enjoy the view and breeze.
Placements: From the third year itself, students start to get placed, and placement continues till the last year. Lot of companies visit the campus like Accenture, Capgemini, Wipro, Cognizant, PTC, NICE, Mastek, Quick Heal, etc. The highest package is 25 Lacs, and the average package is 4 Lacs. Placement percentage is 75 to 80.
Infrastructure: Yearly, a sports meet would be conducted. Inter-school championship is also conducted. Freshers' Day and other cultural festivals are celebrated by the student council without taking money from the students. Clubs conduct their activities every month and give certificates to the participants.
Faculty: Faculty of our college is quite good. The staff is skilled, except some teachers only. We can reach them anytime. Some faculty members are rude, and no one likes them. There are two main exams: in-sem and end-sem, which are university exams conducted by SPPU. Otherwise, they conduct unit tests and mock tests.

Positive vibe, good faculty members and supportive team.
Placements: We were provided with both internship and placement opportunities at our college. The placement rate was 97% and companies like Gammon India, Tata Consulting Engineers and Larsen & Toubro offered roles like project engineer, structural engineer, and design engineer.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, we have rooms with attached washrooms and AC. Also, a mess that provides healthy meals and a common room for socializing and studying. We have laboratories where we have the latest software and equipment for our practice. We have high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity everywhere.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed in such a way that it gives students a comprehensive understanding of their field. Not just that, regular updates are made by the management. The faculty members are highly qualified and motivated, keen to be committed to their teaching.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology review .
Placements: Almost more than 50 percent of the students in my batch were placed in different companies. The lowest package offered was 2 LPA, and the highest package offered was 4 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies were Biocon, Dindigul Thalappakatti, Britannia, Hatsun, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with highly advanced laboratories with proper machinery and equipment. A big central library with physical and virtual learning materials all available for the students. All the classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi accessibility. The quality of the food available in the hostel is very good and nutritious, with both vegetable and non-vegetarian choices. Other than hostels, the college offers a wide variety of food shops and stalls inside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are skilled, well qualified and equipped with the proper skills and knowledge to handle the classes. The teaching quality is very advanced and helps with real-world problems. The learning process is highly focused on making real-world applications on a teaching basis.
Other: I chose food safety and quality management because of my affinity for food science and food quality control. Some of the best things about this course are the spectrum of learning, its application, which is quite wide and its scope in real-world applications. I wish there was more practical learning in the course rather than more theory. A lot of events and festivals are conducted annually by the college as well as the student bodies present on campus.

Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Placements: From the 6th semester, students were eligible for placements. Top recruiting companies were Wipro, Tech Mahindra, HCL, and Accenture. The highest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. Almost 90% of students got placed in this course.
Infrastructure: Double occupancy hostel rooms were available with air-conditioners. There was a gym facility in this college. Laundry facility was also available. The food quality was average. The hostel fee was Rs 1,40,000.
Faculty: All teachers were helpful and knowledgeable. Semester exams were challenging. The course curriculum was relevant. The ratio between students and teachers was good. Few teachers were Ph.D. scholars. Senior faculty members did not have any practical knowledge. They taught some theories. Few of them did not have much exposure to their subjects.
Other: I opted for this course to become a structural engineer. There were 35 students in our batch. The course fee was Rs 60,000 per year. The hostel fee was Rs 2,04,00, including a security fee of Rs 10,000, mess fee of Rs 55,000, laundry fee of Rs 6500, and gym fee of Rs 5,000.

The college is one of the best in India for studying biotechnology and bioinformatics.
Placements: Industry placement is offered for M. Tech bioinformatics companies like TCS Research, which stands for Life Science, and Dr. Reddy, for Biotech, but many students choose Ph.D. as an option. The batch strength ranges from 30 to 52, out of which about 5 to 10 get a good placement, others opt for a higher research path in India or abroad, and all students in previous batches are engaged in industry or Academia.
Infrastructure: There is an option for AC or non-AC and two- or three-seater rooms. You are provided with a table fan in non-AC rooms. The structure is different for all room types, like the non-AC 3-seater, and for this I pay INR 110000 per year, of which mess charges are INR 50000, which is included in this. You have to give a security deposit of INR 5,000, which you get back at the end of your course. The food quality is quite good, and you get a meal four times. The mess menu changes every month.
Faculty: Our course curriculum was designed in a very innovative and suitable way. It includes all the aspects a master's student has to know. The teaching mostly emphasizes thinking rather than just mugging it up. You always leave with a takeaway message and an orientation towards research after each day. The faculty over here is well qualified, with the majority of them having their higher studies from well-renowned universities around the world like Harvard, Oxford, Stanford, and Price universities, to name a few. The faculty-student ratio is also good. Each faculty member had almost 2–3 students to supervise and around 5 Ph.D. candidates. Class size:-60 Course fees: INR 10600.

Our college provides good and experienced faculty members.
Placements: Industry placements were provided for M.Tech bioinformatics students in companies like TCS Research, Strands Life Science, and Dr. Reddy. Many students were interested in pursuing Ph.D. There were 15 to 30 students in a batch, out of which 5-10 got good placements. Others went for higher research paths in India or abroad. All students were engaged either in industry or academia.
Infrastructure: There were separate hostels for the 1st year students to prevent them from ragging. It accommodates 2 to 3 students in a room. Every room was spacious and ventilated. There were sockets, beds, and cupboards in every room. Students had the option to choose an air-conditioned or non-air-conditioned room. Hostel provided hot and cold water. The food was not good, and they didn't change the menu often, but it was manageable. Students must register for the hostel every year within the time stated by the authority. It had a wide range of hostels with fees starting from 1.15 LPA to 3 LPA, including food.
Faculty: The student and faculty ratio was good. There were many faculty members with expertise in different fields. Most of them have done a Ph.D. or post-doctorate in their respective fields. They explain the concepts very well. Exams were conducted according to the academic calendar and were moderately difficult.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in this field. I wanted to work in the industrial biotech sector. This course was designed to provide hands-on experience with various lab techniques and exposure to the industrial sector. There were 45 students in the class. Our course fee was 1.16 LPA.
