The college is all about its placements

Placements: SRM is all about placements. If you have opted for IT and CSE branches, then you will be placed with a package of around 4 lacs P.A. But if you are talented, then you get some high packages at around 10-15 lacs P.A. What I experienced from my senior that many companies come for placement so it is up to you how you will respond. So if you wanted to come in SRM, then you get placements.

A good college for those who are looking just to get placed via computer science stream.

Placements: The only good thing about this college is that this college has a relatively higher number of placements than other colleges in the North Indian region. And this is all the reason why they charge fees of about 2-2.5 lakhs per year. But usually, the placed students are from the computer science stream. So it makes sense to join this college only if you can pay 14 lakhs of fees including hostel and the tuition fees then you can join in for computer science or as its student, and this can be settle...

The best place to waste your money.

Placements: Currently, the placements are very poor in this college. The syllabus is very outdated and faculty isn't qualified. They are making false excuses that the placements are low due to the recession. The chancellor of the college got involved in the multi-crore scam. After taking admission in this college, you will regret your decision every day.

A good college if you are out of options.

Placements: You'll be spending the most of your final year's time on the placement season on the Chennai campus. The placements were great until the 2016's batch, but the placement scenario isn't that great since the 2017's batch. You'll end up getting a job for sure, but not in your field. However, the college must not be blames for it as the IT industries are going through a rough time.

The college is not worthy to invest our money.

Placements: The placements for the whole of SRM University is centralized, i.e. the placement for the students of every campus will be assembled in Kanthakulathur campus for placement. Overall, the placement for students of NCR campus is good but lesser than that of KNTK campus. The average package offered in 2017 was 3.5 lakhs per annum, and the highest package was 12.5 lakhs per annum.

Satisfied with the faculty, good infrastructure and placements.

Placements: The placements of this college are good. The fourth-year students get placed at the beginning of their 7th semester. Last year, the placements were 100%. This year Google also came for the internships and the placements. The highest package offered to the students for the last year was Rs. 25 lacs per annum, and the minimum package offered was Rs. 3 lacs per annum to Rs. 4 lakhs per annum.

A best college with good faculty, placement record, friends and an excellent infrastructure, etc.

Placements: It provides an excellent opportunity for the placement. It depends on the skills of the student as to how good a placement they can get. If you are a mechanical engineering student and have a little bit knowledge of the coding, then it is the best. The average package offered in the previous years is approximately Rs. 3 lacs to Rs. 4 lacs and the maximum package offered in the current year is Rs. 16 LPA.

A good college in a medium budget with good faculty and average amenities.

Placements: The placements occurred at the main branch of our college i.e. in Chennai. We spent about 2 months there for all placement companies. As for the college's saying of 100% placements, it depends on the student's knowledge whether he gets placed or not. 100% placement is not always true.

SRM University- The best private university

Placements: The placements were quite impressive as about 1200 students got placed from the campus. Both the core and mass recruitments were there. The maximum package was 25 lacs per annum and the minimum package was about 2.5 lacs per annum. The average package was 3.5-4.0 lacs per annum.

Review of an honest student who didn't have a good college life.

Placements: We had to go to Chennai for the placements. The accommodation was terrible. The companies hiring students in bulk were given more preference. The students who were placed haven't got their joining letters till date. It's been more than 3 months that the college has got over.

Choose only if you don't have any other option

Placements: The placements were pretty good. The placements of the NCR campus is conducted in the SRM University main campus. Lots of dream companies visited our college for the first few days and after that, only startups were visiting though they were offering handsome packages. Most of the companies were based out of Chennai. The highest package for CSE was about 16 LPA. Many mass recruiters also visited the campus and if you can clear the aptitude test, you will get a job between the range of 3.3-3.5 LP...

Good placements and good infrastructure

Placements: SRM has good placement opportunities. A lot of companies visit the campus for recruitments. The minimum range is from 2 LPA and the highest is going till 15 LPA. The placement process is fair as everyone gets a fair chance. Companies start visiting in the July month of the final year and continue to visit till the next March.

Delhi NCR Campus is not that good if you actually want to pursue your academics. Choose KTR

Placements: The placements in my batch were good as there were a lot of startups and big companies which had come to the campus. About 75% students were placed. The highest salary was 6 lakhs, the lowest was 1.5 lakhs and the average was about 3 lakh. The role was generally 'graduate engineer trainee'. Companies such as TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, HUL, Payoda, Nationstar, etc.

Dissatisfied because of placements

Placements: I have been placed in Wipro Technologies. But during our time of placements, the placement percentage and the companies which came for placements both were less as compared to our seniors. Some of the companies which came were Payoda, Zoho, TCS, Wipro, CTS, Infosys, Capgemini, Bank of America, Amazon and much more.

Review of SRM University, NCR campus

Placements: At the starting of the seventh semester, all of the fourth-year students were asked to go to the Chennai campus for placements. Many mass recruiting companies were present there including TCS, Wipro and Cognizant. Most of the CS, IT and EC students were placed in some or the other mass recruiting companies.

Placements not up to the mark but overall, the university was good.

Placements: The placements of the seniors were okay. But in our year, many placements didn't happen because not a single individual wanted to get placed in their core companies. It's better to fill the off-campus placement form in advance because that will help you more in getting placed rather than wasting your time going in and out of Chennai.

SRM - Life lessons learnt; educational lessons, not much.

Placements: Bad placement record for the batch. The funny part is that even the mass recruiters didn't recruit masses. No one got an internship from college. I was lucky enough to get it in my father's company but not everyone can say the same. The college took zero initiative when it came to internships, apart from the very obvious recommendation letter.

Good placement opportunities but everything else is down the scale.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. We have a lot of opportunities here. If a person fulfils the company criteria and studies well, I think he can easily get a 10-lakh package. People often don't work hard and blame the college for their failure and it's the reason why they are failing. On my part, I've realised that my college has provided me with a lot of opportunities but I was not prepared for it. So it's a mistake on my part, not the college.

Anybody can get a degree in India because why not!

Placements: The placements were good and most of the people who had some technical exposure were placed. But the packages were very petty- mostly 3 lpa with bonds or without. The highest salary offered was 7.5 lpa. The mass recruiters were horrible because they took up a lot of students but haven’t called them. It’s been more than a year now and the university is doing nothing about it. One of my friends got the highest salary package (7.5 lpa). He hasn’t been contacted since last December by the company or...

My experience in SRM University Delhi NCR Campus

Placements: The placement for CSE, IT and ECE is good. For other branches competition is more. In terms of the college infrastructure, it is getting better and level of study is good in that belt. All the students are sent to the Chennai campus in August and September months where companies are called and they are placed. All around, placements need to improve day by day as they are taking so much fees. If you are on the main campus, it is easy to get placed.
