SRMIST will conduct the SRMJEEE 2025 exam in three phases in April, June and July 2025, check full schedule below. The online SRMJEEE 2025 application form is out and the link to apply is given below. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates and NRI/PIO/OCI candidates can apply for SRMJEEE for admission to BTech courses offered across five SRMIST campuses.

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination 2025

SRMJEEE 2025: SRM University has announced SRMJEEE 2025 exam date and has released the SRMJEEE application form 2025. SRMJEEE 2025 will be held in three phases. SRMJEEE Phase 1 from April 22 to 27, Phase 4 from June 12 to 17 and Phase 3 from July 4 to 5. SRMJEEE 2025 registration is open for all three phases and the deadline to apply for phase 1 is April 16. The application deadline for Phases 2 and 3 are June 6 and June 30, respectively. If the candidate wishes to take the SRMJEEE exam more than once, he/she can fill the application form for each phase separately. The exam will be held in multiple slots and days in each phase. Registered candidates will be allowed to book their preferred exam date and time via the SRMJEEE 2025 slot booking process.

Admission to SRM Institute of Science and Technology is based on the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE). The entrance exam is held at the national level in an online remote proctored mode. SRMJEEE 2025 exam will be held for admission to BTech courses offered by SRMIST campuses at Chennai (Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, Tiruchirappalli); Delhi NCR Campus at Ghaziabad (UP), SRM University - Sonepat, Haryana; and SRM University, AP - Andhra Pradesh.

SRMJEEE 2025 exam syllabus consists of 10+2 level questions asked in MCQ format from Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology, Aptitude and English. Note that only SRMJEEE ranks are accepted by SRMIST for admission to BTech courses and hence appearing in the entrance exam is a must for SRM admissions.

What is SRMJEEE Exam?

SRMJEEE exam is a national-level online remote proctored exam held for admission to BTech courses offered by SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The exam acts as a common selection criteria for SRM Btech admission across all its campuses located at Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Ghaziabad (UP), Sonepat, and Andhra Pradesh. Admission to all the campuses is granted based on SRMJEEE ranks via a common online counselling process held after the ranks are announced. The seats are allotted only based on SRMJEEE – All India Rank and availability of seats.

SRMIST has started the SRMJEEE 2025 registrations for all three phases of the exam. The online application form is available online at srmist.edu.in. The steps to apply for SRMJEEE 2025 is given below:

The eligibility criteria for SRMJEEE 2025 are given below:

Q:   What is SRMJEEE 2025 exam date?

SRMIST has announced SRMJEEE 2025 exam dates. The exam will be held in three phases - Phase 1 (April 22 to 27, 2025), Phase 2 (June 12 to 17, 2025) and Phase 3 (July 4 to 5, 2025). SRMJEEE exam 2025 will be held in an online remore proctored test mode. Candidates will be able to appear for the exam from the comfort of their homes.

Q:   When will the SRMJEEE 2025 application form release?

A:

The SRMJEEE application form 2025 is now available. It is open to candidates who have passed or are appearing in their Class 12 exams, as well as NRI/PIO/OCI candidates. Admission to SRM Institute of Science and Technology is based upon the SRMJEEE, a national-level entrance examination conducted online with remote proctoring. The exam will determine eligibility for BTech programs across SRMIST campuses in Chennai (Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, Tiruchirappalli), Delhi NCR Campus in Ghaziabad (UP), SRM University - Sonepat, Haryana, and SRM University, Andhra Pradesh - Andhra Pradesh.

Q:   What is SRMJEEE online proctored test?

A:

SRMJEEE is held in online proctored mode. This means candidates can take the exams from their homes and they do not have to visit any exam center for taking the exam. Proctored exams are timed exams that you take while proctoring software monitors your computer's desktop, webcam video and audio. In Proctored Online Exam, you will be under constant observation during the entire duration of the test via artificial intelligence tools and live monitoring by the proctors. Any suspected activity will lead to the immediate termination of exam. The AI tools will be able to detect any movement of face or eyeballs and highlight the same automatically. Thus, the candidate will be under constant vigilance of proctor through live feed to deter any suspicious activity of the candidate.

Nationality: Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by the Government of India are eligible to apply for SRMJEEE.

Age: Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st of July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

Qualifying Examination For all BTech Courses:

  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics.
  • Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.

The exam pattern for SRMJEEE 2025 exam is given below:

  • Level of exam: The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th. 
  • Type of questions asked: All the questions are of Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers. Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question.
  • Marking scheme: 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer and no negative marking for the wrong answer.
  • Time duration: The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 mins.

SRMJEEE 2025 Syllabus

SRMIST conducts the SRMJEEE exam in an online proctored format. The varsity publishes the syllabus to guide candidates in preparing for this online admission test. The SRMJEEE syllabus covers topics at the 10+2 level in physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, English, and aptitude. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with no negative marking. Each question carries 1 mark. The distribution of marks is as follows: Mathematics (40 marks), Physics and Chemistry (35 marks each), English (5 marks), and Aptitude (10 marks).

SRMJEEE 2025 Remore Proctored Exam - Guidelines and Requirements

SRMJEEE exam is held in online remote proctored mode and hence candidates need to have some important things set up before the exam day. We have provided below the exam day guidelines and requirements for the SRMJEEE 2025 online remote proctored test:

Requirements for the SRMJEEE 2025 online proctored exam

  • Laptop with functional camera and microphone. 
  • Intel i3 (4TH Gen) equivalent CPU or above.
  • 4 GB RAM or above.
  • Internet Speed – Minimum 1 MBPS.
  • 2 GB free hard disk space.
  • Windows 8 or above Mac 10.14 Mojave and above.

SRMJEEE 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

Check below the exam day guidelines for SRMJEEE 2025 RPOM:

  • Candidates have to login to the exam using details provided in the admit card (Password).
  • The main examination will be of 120 minutes.
  • The candidates are expected to login at least 60 minutes before the exam to take a photograph of themselves and ID proof and to read the instructions.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to end the exam whether the candidate completes the exam or quits the exam for the first 120 minutes from the scheduled start of the exam.
  • Only one question appears on the screen and either the candidate should answer the question or skip the same if he/she does not know the answer or does not want to answer. Once moved to the next question, the candidate cannot come back to the answered/skipped questions.
  • On completion of the exam, candidates are required to follow the instructions provided to close the exam.
  • The ‘I want to submit the exam’ button appears only after 90 minutes have elapsed.
  • The quit password needs to be entered to EXIT THE EXAM (WHICH IS MANDATORY), which will be available in the Instruction Manual for taking the exam.
  • The exam also closes automatically once the scheduled exam time elapses.

SRMJEEE 2025 Remote Protored Online Test: Do’s and Don’ts:

Candidates must follow some instructions for the remote proctored exam:

  • Do not move from your seats, during the exam. You cannot take bio breaks during the duration of the exam.
  • You should sit facing the screen throughout the exam and should not look sideways or down.
  • You are not allowed to keep mobile phones, digital watches, or any other electronic devices with you during the exam.
  • You are not permitted to wear sunglasses/headphones.
  • You should take the exam, seated in a room where there is sufficient light. You must ensure you are the only person in the room during the exam and there is no disturbance. Do not entertain any other person in the room.
  • Do not contact/talk to anyone or take assistance from anyone during the exam.
  • Do not keep any text or bits of paper or any material/notes/rough paper with you during the exam.
  • Do not access any other site/screen on your laptop/Personal computer during the exam.
  • Do not try to log in from multiple devices.
  • Do not google or search from any other source.
  • Do not lip-sync or read the questions aloud.
  • Do not cover your face with hair/mask/clothing or anything else.
  • Do not have any background noise/voices/music//TV.
  • You are not allowed to have food/beverages during the exam except for water.

Q:   How many marks does each question carry in SRMJEEE exam?

A:

SRMJEEE has MCQ-type questions. The exam has no negative marking and each question in the exam carry 1 mark. The maths section of the exam will have 40 marks, Physics and Chemistry will carry 35 marks each, English will have 5 marks and the aptitude section will have 10 marks. The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 mins.

Q:   What are some advise for SRMJEEE online mock test?

A:

For SRMJEEE mock test students must ensure that they have a good working computer with minimum specifications as given below:

  • Computer - Pentium IV/Dual Core, 1GB RAM or higher
  • 80 GB HDD or higher
  • 15 inch colour Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse
  • Microsoft Windows 10 and Antivirus
  • Webcam and microphone
  • Internet connection of at least 1 MBPS
  • A private room without external disturbance/noise
  • Place the computer on a table, such that your back is facing the wall and there are no devices placed in the background
  • The room where you sit should be quiet, with no background noise and only you should be present in the room, for the entire duration of the test.
  • Keep your computer table, clear of any object, paper, books and any other electronic material like Mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc.
  • Ensure proper lighting (no backlight) so that your face is clearly visible on the webcam.
  • Ensure that you are dressed formally

Q:   Do I need to be an expert in computer operations to take the SRMJEEE online exam?

A:

No, all you need to know is the Mouse Click for selecting your option and navigation or the SRMJEEE exam. You do not need to know any other operations. We recommend you to practice the mock test, the link for mock test is provided in SRMJEEE website.

Q:   If I am preparing for JEE exam, do I need to prepare separately for SRMJEEE?

A:
SRMJEE is the exam conducted by the SRM University and if you are preparing for the JEE exam than it is more than enough for you and you don't have to prepare from somewhere else. There are total of 360 marks and of 120 questions in total which has 4 sections and they are as follows: Mathematics Chemistry Physics English and logical reasoning In mathematics, mainly focus on your basics using NCERT and mainly focus on speed and accuracy. There will only be questions. In physics, prepare using HC Verma volume 1 and 2. Study through the NCERT books. In Chemistry, prepare using NCERT books and that will be more than enough. For English, prepare using NCERT books of class 11th and 12th. JEE Preparations are more than enough for SRMJEE. No one (usually) prepares for SRMJEE separately. You study for JEE give your exams book a slot for SRMJEE as per your convenience (after JEE-Main obviously) study the extra portion and practice the mock test of SRMJEE as many as possible. Just focus on speed and accuracy for SRMJEE. Just be aware of silly mistake made in questions are easy because choices are really confusing.

Q:   Where will the SRMJEE be conducted?

A:

SRMJEEE is held as an online proctored test. Candidates will not have to visit any exam center for the exam. The remote proctored exam can be taken from the respective homes of the candidates. Candidates can attempt their exam either through Windows Laptop/Desktop or through Android Phone/Tablet.

Q:   Can I refer to additional study materials apart from the recommended books for SRMJEEE?

A:
Yes, you can refer to additional study materials as long as they cover the topics mentioned in the SRMJEEE syllabus. However, it's important to ensure that the study materials are reliable and accurate. Also, do not dive into an ocean of topics unnecessarily. Candidates must note that they are preparing only the topics from the SRMJEEE syllabus. Do not waste time going on about extra topics that won't be asked in the exam.

Q:   How can I prepare using SRMJEEE syllabus?

A:
Here are some tips to prepare for SRMJEEE: 1. Understand the syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the complete syllabus and exam pattern of SRMJEEE. 2. Create a study schedule: Plan your study schedule effectively, giving ample time to each subject and topic. 3. Practice previous years' question papers: Solve previous years' question papers to get an idea of the exam pattern and practice answering questions within the given time frame. 4. Understanding the core concepts and practicing a variety of problems is key to scoring well in SRMJEEE.

Q:   How many sections will be there in SRMJEEE?

A:

There will be five sections in the SRMJEEE question paper. The sections will be divided as per the subjects namely Physics Mathematics, Chemistry English and Aptitude (For Biotechnology - Candidates have to appear for Biology instead of Mathematics). .

Candidates must carry their SRMJEEE PG exam admit card and any valid identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID card. Candidates will be allowed to enter the examination with an admit card.
