Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at SVSU - Swami Vivekanand Subharti University a good choice?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is B.E./B.Tech at SVSU - Swami Vivekanand Subharti University a good choice?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

Pros:

* Good placement record: About 60-70% of students from the CSE branch get placed, with an average package of INR3-4 Lacs per annum.
* Well-qualified faculty: Majority of the teachers are M.Tech/PhD qualified and are helpful and supportive.
* Modern infrastructure: The college has well-equipped labs, classrooms, and hostels with Wi-Fi connectivity.
* Good academic performance: The pass percentage is relatively high (around 40%) in most subjects.
* Variety of courses: The university offers a range of courses, including Bio-stream options.

Cons:

* Limited exposure to top companies: Few reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, leading to limited placement opportunities.
* Average package: While the average package is decent, it could be higher considering the qualifications and skills of the graduates.
* Infrastructure issues: Some students reported poor Wi-Fi connectivity and occasionally malfunctioning smart boards.
* Limited opportunities for internships: Few internships are available, and those that exist might not offer competitive stipends.

Overall, while SVSU has its strengths, such as good faculty and infrastructure, it seems to struggle with limited placement opportunities and lower-than-expected packages. However, the university appears to be making efforts to improve its industry connections and placement records.

Recommendation: For students seeking a strong educational foundation and a chance to develop their skills, SVSU might be a suitable option. However, those looking for extensive corporate connections and higher-paying job prospects might consider alternative institutions.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty, infrastructure, placements, activities, etc.
Placements: About 10% of the students from our course got placed. Companies like Spey Medical visited our campus for placements. Our college has to make more investment for pharmacy students. There should be more activities other than studying, which may help students to come front and achieve something that was lacking.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was newly built. But pharmacy building was not that good at looking, but other department buildings were decorated. The college charge money from students, but do not provide proper stuff for students. Labs were quite good, but there are no chairs for sitting. Wi-Fi facility is not available, and there is no proper library. It is just a building, and not a college. There should be an environment to study. But the building was lacking completely.
Faculty: At our time, teachers in our college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. But nobody wants to initiate anything other than what they are teaching from past 4-5 years. There is nothing enjoyable, unique or new, but if teachers are taking the step to make their students think beyond the imagination, then it can be possible. But due to political issues of the management or the personal issues, no one is interested. I am quite disappointed.
Other: I have chosen this course because my elder brother, who had the knowledge of pharmacy career and growth suggested me to opt this course. In starting, I did not like it, but slowly it changed my thinking. We hold a degree as well as a certified license to open the pharmacy in our particular state. I wish the process of certification must change into the online system. Nothing is there here. Sometimes scholarships are available, but when I applied, I did not get a scholarship. Events and fests are not organised by the college. Campus crowd was the worst. Connectivity was average. Campus surroundings are lush green. Extracurricular activities are not conducted.

The best place. If you have chance to study you should study here.
Placements: No placements were offered for D.pharm in Swami Vivekananda Subgarti University. It is a good place to study with good teachers. The dress code is impressive, and I enjoy my college life here. The best part for the medical student here is because of the hospital available here for practical.
Infrastructure: This university has a very large and attractive infrastructure. Big ground to play and morning and evening walk. It has a canteen for eating and enjoying birthdays. It also has the hospital for an emergency. All the courses are available here. The security system is also well-maintained. To take pure air, many plants are planted.
Faculty: It has well-educated and well-mannered faculty members. The teachers are supportive. Some of the faculty members are very good to me when I was studying. This university has the area's the best faculty in all courses. I think the best teachers this university have. The teachers play an important role in our life.

It is the best college with good facilities.
Placements: The minimum salary offered was Rs. 30000 per month, and the maximum was Rs. 80000 per month. Sun Pharma, a top company in India, came to our college to offer jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college had excellent facilities. Wi-Fi was very good and available 24X7. Labs were in excellent condition. All types of instruments and camicals were availabe. They conducted extra lab sessions. Our college had digital classrooms equipped with projectors. The library was available 24X7. Canteens served nutritious food. Students could easily participate in games. All types of games were available.
Faculty: More than 80% of students passed all subjects because of our good teachers. They had Ph.D.s in their subjects. There were 6 semesters. 33% was required to pass. All teachers were very knowledgeable about their subjects. The course curriculum was relevant. Students were industry-ready. 75% attendance was compulsary to attend exams. Otherwise, they charge a fine.
Other: To gain knowledge of medicines, this course was the best.
