It is a very good college regarding academics.

Placements: The college has decent placement records. But SIBM, Bengaluru will reach new heights in coming years. Many reputed corporate companies like JPMC, Credit Suisse, ITC, KPMG, etc., regularly visit the college and hire students. As the college has completed ten years with this year, many other reputed companies are interested in visiting the college for placements.

It is worth taking every opportunity that comes your way, in this B-School.

Placements: Though the institute provides really good opportunities, one really can't take placements for granted. A student must work immensely in improving their personality and conceptual clarity, in order to bag the best offers on campus. Decent live projects and summer internship offers are available along with sufficient guest lectures and corporate contacts.

It is a nice college which focuses on the overall growth with an aim of making a great professional.

Placements: Placement varies from year to year depending on the number of companies coming to the campus, the strength of the batch, and the profile of the students etc. But almost more than 90% get placed through the campus placement. Average salary package lies anywhere between 4 LPA to 5 LPA. It may go higher depending on the capability of the students, their knowledge and work experience. Various companies from the field of public relations, and media planning and advertisement come for the placement pr...

The life at Symbiosis School of Media Communication, Bangalore.

Placements: For PR, particularly, the top Indian agencies are coming for both placements and internships. The highest salary package so far for the senior batch is 8-8.5 LPA, and being in the media industry, it's decent. But the average for the same is low, which is 4-5 LPA.

The college is decent and good for PR. It is average for MM.

Placements: The placements are good for PR. Media management is getting better, no comments on the AD. Big companies come for placements, the package they offer isn't that great, but it will grow hopefully. Summer internships are good, mostly in digital front for two months, faculty aren't that good.

An absolutely overrated college and not worth the fees we pay for.

Placements: Our seniors' placements were quite good compared to our batch. Around 90% of them were placed. The highest and lowest packages are 6 LPA and 21 LPA respectively. Companies like JP Morgan, Infosys, Credit Suisse, Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG visited the campus. Mostly the business analyst and consultant roles were offered. Everyone got their internship, but it is up to us to select the best.

If you want to study media, do it in your bachelors and join a good media agency, get some exposure.

Placements: The placements are worse than the normal engineering colleges. They won't get any good placements, and the package is too less for any MBA graduate. After spending more than Rs. 10 L you will have to find a job for yourself. It is too worst. Not even 50% students got placed. Even if they are placed, they accepted the lowest packages ever for an MBA student.

Good infrastructure and Education

Placements: The placements for our batch were better than what it was for our seniors; though they weren't very spectacular. Around 100 students went through the placement procedure and at least 50 got placed. The Minimum salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 p.m and the Maximum was around Rs. 25,000 p.m with an average of Rs. 15,000 p.m. Majority of the recruiters were local companies which were either KPOs or BPOS. For developers, there were many local IT and software solutions companies. Common roles offe...

Good and experienced faculty.

Placements: There is no placement for EMBA. It is only provided for full-time MBA students. For EMBA students, they do not have any placement cell. As EMBA students are already working, they say there is no need to provide placement assistance. But believe me, this course really helped me in getting a promotion and then a new job.

SIBMB is growing every year and is the best among all the B-schools from the last 10-13 years.

Placements: Placements are decent, companies like JP Morgan, Credit Suisse take 10-12 people each. Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, Arcesium and Crisil take a good number of students. For core sales, companies like ITC, Maruti, Mahindra, TVS, TATA Motors, Tata Aig, Blue Star etc. come. Major IT companies Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant and NIIT come to campus. Satisfied with the two years I spent there, it hurts that I can't have that same life again.

Placements: I got placed in a top e-commerce startup Nearbuy(Groupon), thanks to the college for giving me such opportunity. I am well-settled in my home city, with a profile that everyone loves to start their professional life. Plus, that tag of Symbiosis gives you added respect among the people and colleagues.

If you are looking for a college with good placements and great infrastructure and your CAT score is not so great then it's a perfect college for you. When it comes to live projects and summer internships, this college has a lot of tie ups with big brands like Lenovo, Google, Microsoft, Sharp etc. I feel it's a great college for MBA. SIBM gives you a great platform to build your career and implement the things you want in your professional life.

SIBM Bangalore is situated inside Electronic City. Although it is a little far from the main city, it is nestled right in between great corporate names. The institute has a rather stringent and comprehensive selection process and there has been no dilution in the quality due to increase in strength etc. The faculty members are well experienced and head on with the practices and happenings of the various industries one might want to be a part of.
