Q:   I've scored less than 60% in 12th boards. Can I get admission in Rajasthan University (UniRaj) for BA?

A:

BA admission at Rajasthan University is merit-based. The university releases the cut-off required for admission its BA courses. The cut-off is based on Class 12 merit of applicants. The minimum eligibility requirement for BA admission at the university is 45% in Class 12. Hence, a candidate scoring 60% in Class 12 is definitely eligible to apply for the programme. However, based on the previous-year cut-off trends, scoring 60% in Class 12 may not be enough to secure a seat for BA at UniRaj. The cut-off for BA courses has been over 90% for the past three years. Candidate failing to secure the cut-off marks can seek admission at other universities/colleges offering similar courses. Alternatively, they can check out the colleges offering online BA courses.

Q:   How does the placement cell for B.A. at UNIRAJ assist students in getting placed?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

How does the placement cell for B.A. at UNIRaj assist students in getting placed?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what we found:

* No placements are provided: According to multiple reviewers, the placement cell at UNIRaj does not offer placements for B.A. students. Instead, students have to rely on applying to companies individually.

* Limited placement assistance: One reviewer mentioned that while the placement cell exists, it is not actively involved in helping students find employment. This means that students may need to take initiative themselves to secure placements.

* Higher education focus: Since UNIRaj is a renowned institution, many students aim to pursue further education (such as postgraduate degrees) rather than directly entering the workforce. As a result, the emphasis lies more on preparing students for higher education rather than immediate employability.

It is essential to note that these findings are based on individual perspectives and may vary depending on the specific circumstances of each student.

Remember to stay informed and proactive in securing your desired outcome!

Stone glimpse of Rajasthan University.
Placements: The percentage is 93 or above. There is no package in my course. There is placement in other courses, but not in B.A. Honors. The Law Faculty has placements, and some small placements are in B.Sc. courses. The education facility is very nice. Professors are cooperative.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a little bit poor compared to other faculty members, but it's okay because the education and class facilities are nice. Hostels are nice and reasonably priced. Food is also good, but not so much better. Sports grounds are there for many sports like cricket, basketball, and badminton.
Faculty: There are two semesters and two midterms in one year. The teaching quality is mind-blowing. They build students for future competition. The exam pattern is good, and the difficulty level is moderate and even easy for those who prepare nicely and with hard work.
Other: I chose this course because I want to opt for this subject for my upcoming NET JRF paper. There are many events in our college, like Ananta. Scholarships for girls are available, like NSP, etc.

Proper availability of basic and all necessary facilities.
Placements: The passing percentage from our course is about 60% avg. every year. The highest salary package from our course is 30 Lacs, and the avg. is about 14-15 Lacs. Recruitment is mainly done by government companies, directly from campus or through the placement cell department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of our college are acceptable, not so good but not too brutal. Labs are very well maintained. Sociology labs, computer labs, etc. are well furnished. Free Wi-Fi facilities are also available on the campus for all the students.
Faculty: Exams are not too easy to crack, but if you study throughout the year, then you can easily crack the exam. The teaching staff of our college is very supportive in nature. They help us in our projects and our work. The teaching staff is highly qualified and well-educated.
Other: Fests are organized roughly 2-3 times a month.

There are no placements in the subject, but infrastructure, college and facilities are very good.
Placements: There are no placements in my history subject, and the college is highly certified by the Indian government. For more information, you can log in to the college's website, or you can search the IC.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure quality is very good and facilities and teachers are very cooperative. Teachers are also very educated so they can be properly to the children and extracurricular activities are also held in that college so I suggest you come to the college.
Faculty: Exams are very highly knowledgeable; we have to write carefully answers in exams; we have to study detail material, not small material; we can study; teachers also have students in may study; we have to study more in exams so we can get passing marks or a top mark in the college.
Other: There is no other information.

Offered by University Maharani College, University of Rajasthan

A good college in every term, and a college that has the history of India makes us all proud.
Placements: As I am in the B.A. course, there are no placements for students. But there are placements for students in other courses like BCA and B.Teach. The packages are around 8-10 LPA. The recruiting companies are Infosys, TATA, Aditya Birla, etc. Only about 10-15% of people get this opportunity of getting placements.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in the college named "MAHARANI" for students for educational purposes. The classrooms have single sitting benches for students to sit comfortably, and there are labs for Science and Home Science students. There is a big library with all sorts of books for every course. The hostels are near the college, and they have 2 or 3 people sharing rooms with good facilities, and the fees are also very low. The canteen has good-tasting food and is very affordable (the pav bhaji and parties are very good). There are no medical facilities in the college. Games and sports competitions are organized on a regular basis for students, and training is also given to students.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable, and they help you very much during exam time. They teach in both Hindi and English mediums. The only drawback is that they don’t take classes regularly. Students who want to prepare for the UPSC exam should take this subject; it will help a lot. The mid-term exams are very easy, but the semester exams are a bit difficult. The passing percentage is around 33%.
Other: I chose this course because it will help me in my UPSC exam as this covers a major part of my optional syllabus. The best thing is that a person who has a great interest in India and its politics will enjoy studying this course. I would wish to improve the fact that teachers should take more classes regularly than they take now. The events that take place yearly are Ananta and the fresher's party. There are events on special occasions also, such as Constitution Day, Independence Day, etc. There are many scholarships for students, such as NSP and CM scholarship, etc.

Really good campus, decent placement, and complete integration with college life.
Placements: SS Subodh Jain PG College offers decent placement opportunities. Every year, more than a huge number of students get placed here. The students get highly competitive packages offered by most of the companies in the IT, banking, and retail sectors. To gain practical exposure, many students also get an opportunity to grab internships with well-reputed organizations.
Infrastructure: The college provides well-equipped classrooms, a resourceful library, and modern computer labs. Academic areas are Wi-Fi enabled, and comfortable living space, hygienic food, and recreational amenities characterize the hostel facilities. In addition, there is medical support and sports facilities for the overall well-being of students.
Faculty: The staff is well-experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is well-arranged and, more importantly, in tune with the requirements of the industry by setting focus on practical alongside theoretical studies. The exams are moderately demanding in this institution as well, so their students are ready to step out into the professional environment.
Other: It is a good choice for quality education with decent placements and holistic campus experience. I would like to conclude by saying that this college is especially suited for students looking for affordable education and having every opportunity for more learning and growth.

Education Very Important.
Placements: My 62% of students were placed in courses. My highest-paying course was Society, and the lowest-paying course was History. The average course was Economics. My top-paying companies were Infosys, State Bank of India, LIC, HDFC Bank, Wipro, Deloitte, etc.
Infrastructure: My classroom was quite and had Wi-Fi good facilities. The science lab is so beautiful. The facilities in my hostel are pure food and canteen meals, and small medicine are available. & Sports are cricket, football, and basketball in the evening for each student.
Faculty: Teachers are very bad because they were not paying attention and talking worryingly about politics. Our teachers are so lazy. My college’s semester exams are very tough because the question papers are out of chapters, and each student needs 36% passing marks.
Other: There were very good functions in my college, and the students were of a very calm nature, but the students’ scholarships did not come on time. The late batch facilities in the University of Rajasthan college were very good, and the environment there was very good.

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

* Excellent infrastructure with modern facilities, including smart classrooms, libraries, and hostels
* Well-qualified and experienced faculty members who are knowledgeable and helpful
* Relevant coursework that prepares students for industry and competitive examinations
* Opportunities for internships and extracurricular activities
* Peaceful and green campus surroundings

Cons:

* Limited placement opportunities, mainly due to the fact that it's a B.A. programme and companies may not prioritize humanities graduates
* Difficulty in finding suitable job placements, with only a few students placed annually
* Lack of emphasis on English language skills among faculty members
* Limited resources, with only eight students placed in 2021
* No guaranteed placement assistance or job guarantee

Placement Statistics:

* the highest salary package offered: INR50,000 per month
* the lowest salary package offered: INR1,000 per month
* Average salary package: INR15,000 per month
* Placement rate: Approximately 10% of students got placed in 2021

Overall, while UNIRAJ may have its limitations, it seems that it still offers a solid foundation in arts and humanities education. With its strong faculty and modern infrastructure, it could be a good option for those interested in pursuing a B.A. program. However, students should be aware of the potential challenges in securing job placements after graduation.
