One can enjoy their college life here, but they don't focus on training the students well.

Placements: Placements in our college are not good. Around 20% of the students were placed from our college. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.25 LPA. Some students are also called for interviews outside our campus. The college has a placement cell and is average.

Overall, it is not bad in terms of teaching.

Placements: The placement cell has improved a lot than before, and almost 80% of the students got placed although the companies were not much renowned. Overall, the placements are still not good, it is improving.

Facilities, canteens and placements are good.

Placements: More than 40% of the students got placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 90,000 per month, and the lowest salary is Rs. 35,000n per month. Few companies visited the campus to offer placements. Roles offered are executive, supervisor etc. A minimum of 60% of the students got internships. I have no idea about the stipend offered.

Review of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET, Jammu).

Placements: Placements for the students of our batch were excellent. There are almost 80 students in our batch, in CSE. Approximately, 15 to 20 students got placed from campus, and the majority of students got placed through off-campus drives with the support of our college placement cell. Companies like Infineon Technologies, Tech Aspect, Net Magic, etc., visited our campus for placements. Companies in which students got placed through off-campus drives were HPE, MindTree, Cognizant, Aricent etc. The job p...

Satisfied with faculty, extremely satisfied with software development cell and placements cell.

Placements: The placements in the college are pretty good. The college provides many opportunities for students to get a good placement. The placements are not based on what you perform academically, it's based on how well you go with your skills. The were many placements last year (2018), majority of the placements were from MBA and MCA sections where almost 52 students got placed in different companies, out of which 10 MBA students were recruited by HDFC bank with annual package 4.32lakhs, 20 others got ...

Review of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The college is taking a good initiative by inviting well-reputed companies like TCS, etc., to conduct campus placements, which results in the development of the students. About 40% of the students from the previous batch (2017 batch) got placed. As the students are performing well, the college has taken the initiative of conducting placement drives. The internship opportunities are average. Before the placement drive procedure starts, the director of the company first gives a brief explanation o...

Short review about Jammu university.

Placements: There is no placement provided by this university. After course they only provide certificate. But no placement done by this university. Hence you should prepare to get a job outside. Only this os the limitation of this university. They should provide placement opportunity.

The best private college in Jammu, MIET.

Placements: The placement is not as good as other colleges outside Jammu & Kashmir, but if we compare it within the state, the placements are still average and are neither the best nor poor too. If you even get placed, then you might not join the company as the company might not be as good as you would have dreamt of. Besides this, the college offers placement training like teaching professional communication skills and soft skills that might help you to sit in for joint placement programme organised by oth...

Placements: No placements at all. You should work over how to get good marks in GATE exam after passing B.Tech. No support of placements from this college. You should consider unlucky that you are studying in this college. It had its reputation a few years back but now no facility of placements.

I'm satisfied with the college in accordance with a standard of Jammu.

Placements: In my first year, a good amount of students got placed in some reputed companies. Two students even got placed in Amazon. In my second year, most of the students got placed. The college in addition to internal placement took the students for placement fairs also, but only the students, who were willing and dedicated.

MIET is the best Private college in Jammu & Kashmir.

Placements: Our college is in Jammu and most of the companies do not tend to visit Jammu because of some issues. But the companies which come to our college are very much Good. There have been numerous placements in our college and many of our alumni are in great positions in MNC's.

A better and the best college.

Placements: Only 1 company has come till date in my college during my 4 years and that too it was a management company. No Technical company has come till date in my college during my stay in the college. Although our seniors (only a few) were hired in the better companies like HP and Satyam Computers. If you want to get placed, then go for off-campus placements.

Placements: Every year, hundreds of students got placed from our college. But from information technology, not more than five students were placed till now. The companies like HP, Cyber, Infosys, IBM, etc. come every year to our college. The students getting percentage above 60 have their chances to get placed. But the communication skills are there. All is dependent on communication skills. If they have good communication skills, they have more chances to get selected and placed in a good company. Every ye...

A good college to enroll, but placements are still an issue.

Placements: At our time, few companies visited our college to recruit us and senior students. The highest salary that was offered to us in college placements was 3.4lpa. The lowest package offered was 1.8lpa. The roles were of junior associates with Unix knowledge. We have a placement cell in MIET. At our times, that was not efficient. But now, we are seeing many students are getting the good jobs.

Good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements for the last year batch are quite low than the batch before that, it is because of the prevailing instabilities in the industries, as my seniors told me. The lowest pay is 2.5 lacs per annum, and the highest pay is 21 lacs per annum. Amazon, Techaspect, Microsoft were the companies in which students were placed for higher salaries.

It is the best college in the state.

Placements: Placements in this college are average. One cannot dream or expect 6 LPA package here. But this stigma has been changed over the years due to the new placement cell. My senior batches had just 10% placements which were 20% in my batch and 50% nowadays. 2.4 LPA is the average package, and the toppers can bag up to 4 LPA from good companies like HCL, Dell, HP etc.

Placements: The placement scenario is not so special. Companies do pay a visit but the percentage of students selected is quite low. Recently, Cummins, TCS, etc. visited the campus. The average package was around 5 LPA. Generally, the students are the ones who interact with the companies so as to make them pay a visit to the college. Placements: The management students are given very good academic training sessions and internship options with various companies. Some of them are Cipla, SBI Life, Kotak, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and many insurance companies which also visited the campus. There were almost 40% of the students who got placed in different companies with an average annual package of 4 lacs.
