The University of Mysore offers MSc (two-year) course in a full-time mode. MSc course is divided into four semesters and is offered at the campus and through affiliated colleges. The affiliated colleges offering MSc are- JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science (JSSCACS), Maharaja's College, University of Mysore, Indian Institute of Fashion and Animation, Bangalore, etc. Additionally, it is offered in multiple specialisations, including Computer Science, Psychology, Mathematics, etc.
Admission to the PG course is entrance-based. Postgraduate Entrance Exam (PGEE) conducted by Mysore University is accepted for MSc admissions. Furthermore, for admission to MSc Biotechnology, the university accepts GAT-B exam scores.
