As per our seniors, placements are not very good according to our fee, and not many companies visit here for mechanical engineering as compared to other universities in Dehradun.

The college is good and everyone can join.
Placements: The highest package offered in our college is 54 LPA. The average package offered is around 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80%. Many companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: The hostel in our college is above average. The mess food is also average like all colleges, The hostel costs around Rs. 80,000 per year. Rooms are clean and hygienic. Caretakers take care of students. The hostel is very good to join.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very good and experienced persons. There is one mid-exam per semester. It is for four months. The second semester starts after twenty days of examination. Faculty members help students with doubts.

In this college, the infrastructure is good.
Placements: Currently I got placed in AMBER ENTERPRISE INDIA LIMITED as a GET. 90% of students got placed before their completion of the course. The highest package of our students is 9 lakh. And the lowest is 3.6 lakh. 70% of students got internship in TADANO CRAINS, MCPI, etc. I myself was an intern in MCPI.
Infrastructure: As I am in mechanical department, we have free wifi access and there are many different different kind of labs, like engineering drawing lab, fluid machinery lab, and metrology lab, There is one cafeteria, a bakery, and a food court within an 800-meter radius of playground.
Faculty: Faculties are very experienced in my department; they are very corporative; all the study material is provided by them in ERP; they also provide industry-based training; there are one midterm 3 assignment and semester exams. Exams are pretty hard to test your efforts.
Other: I chose the course in this college because of the department and infrastructure. Parking lots and on-campus transportation need improvement. There are 6 to 7 clubs, every club organizes a minimum of 4 to 5 events, every year there are 2 to 3 festivals, and there are sports.

All you need to know about Uttarnachal university .
Placements: Ok so here is the catch the 1.7 cr package was the highest but it was off campus if someone wanna consider that , rest highest that was in campus was around 15 -20 lakh . The number of students getting placed is on average basis the same , i would say few get placed into good ones more over its about how well one can get their skills upgraded . In percentage it would be like 50 % getting placed . The perceis low from my perspective because most students get placed in non tech companies , since their role does not seem to match their skills they quit the jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for btech is basic the classrooms have white boards and projectors the labs are equipped with important instruments , but for some labs like and engineering physics we need to go to diffent department building . The overall infrastructure is suitable enough for course. The hostels are good enough , there is lift facility in one hostel out of 4 hostels (for girls) . The cleanliness is good point over here . There is joined mess for girls (single mess) . The food provided is fine. There is a girls court for girls hostel rest there is sports ground in campus and one more ground for basketball and volleyball.
Faculty: The teachers are enthusiastic in teaching ( considering majority teachers ...for minority teachers they are not that good ) .I find the need to add DSA from very beggining rest concepts seems to have been cleared but adding DSA would be more helpful . The semester exams on a difficulty level from 1-5 would say 3 ...they were average ...concept based so it did not bother me much , though many students found exams hard ... I would say it depends more on one's prep.
Other: I choose the course because like coding , and over here I found many people who are already doing the jobs look forward for . My classmates have already started projects even before they entered college and it keeps me motivated to grow . I would say a the campus life is good but as btech students we never got freshers so that was quite frustrating .

Best and honest review of my college .
Placements: Last year, approximately 70% of students got placed at decent packages. The highest package is 1.2 crores, and the average is around 4 to 7 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, IBM, Deloitte, Wipro, Reliance, and many more. About 40 to 60 percent of students got internships from college. Top roles include software engineer and web developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the college are the best. The infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi is available in every single building with high speed. Labs are well-equipped, and all the instruments are available. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors for digital boards. The library is full of books, and there is a lot of space available for every course.
Faculty: The faculty is good. They teach very well and have excellent knowledge of their subjects. The course curriculum is relevant because they conduct hackathons at both college and city levels. The semester exam is not too hard but not very easy either. The pass percentage is 40 percent in each subject.
Other: Computer Science and Engineering is the most in-demand skill. In college, they teach us more theory compared to practical applications. They need to improve their teaching style and should teach us what is used in the industry. Events are conducted like concerts and festival celebrations. Campus life is good if you have good friends; otherwise, you may feel bored. Scholarships are available based on your last academic performance, domicile, and NSP. Extracurricular activities include cricket, volleyball, football, and kabaddi.

Attractive campus life and obviously decent placements for those who really want to study.
Placements: Placements were decent this year and according to information, 90% of students from the last batch were placed . The average package should range from 4 to 5.5 lpa but at least they are not faking their placements or over glorifying them. The information available on website is near to accurate.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure and facilities: WiFi is good, there are labs for each subject, and hostel rooms are also very decent. For mess food, I will say it is 7/10. There is a huge central library with a vast collection of books and yes, of course, all kinds of medical facilities are available inside the campus.
Faculty: Yes, definitely the teachers are very supportive and they guide in every possible way. Talking about their qualifications, most of them are postgraduates, and many PhD holders too. Yes, there are courses for the development of the student and also to make them industry-ready. Exam difficulty level is not that difficult but questions are conceptual.

If you want to pursue your dream and qualify exams, don’t come to a private institute
Placements: Last to last year, out of 600 students, 116 participated in placements, and approximately 106 got placed. Max package was 16 LPA, with TCS as one of the top recruiting companies. Most students did paid internships, but no students secured internships in good companies, especially in web development.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, though there’s a problem with Wi-Fi as only 1 GB per day is provided. Labs are neither great nor terrible. The library is good, and mess food is okay but costly compared to last year, with increased prices. Sports like table tennis, football, volleyball, and badminton are available. I’m not sure about medical facilities.
Faculty: Some faculties are good, while some aren’t. The curriculum is relevant, but not up to the level to qualify for placements, and students may need to purchase courses from outside institutes to become industry-ready. If you study passionately 2-3 days before exams, you can pass them easily.
Other: To become a software developer, the best thing about the course is the use of computers. Campus culture doesn’t feel like college, and there isn’t much talent around.

    Admission FAQs

    Q:   Is Uttaranchal University good for B.E. / B.Tech?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is Uttaranchal University good for BE/BTech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an overview of Uttaranchal University's strengths and weaknesses:

    Strengths:

    * Good placement record: Around 70-80% of students get placed every year, with the highest package being INR1.18 crore and the lowest being INR3.5 lakh. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, HCL, and Tech Mahindra.
    * Helpful faculty: Teachers are considered helpful and supportive, willing to assist students outside of class hours.
    * Infrastructure: The campus has modern facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, laboratories, and a central library with a wide range of books and resources.
    * Extracurricular activities: Regular events, festivals, and sports competitions are organized, providing students with ample opportunities to engage in co-curricular activities.
    * Internship opportunities: Internships are available, and students are encouraged to participate in these programs to gain hands-on experience.

    Weaknesses:

    * Some teachers' teaching methods: Some students reported that certain professors could be challenging to follow due to varying teaching styles.
    * Limited internship opportunities: While internships are available, some students felt that the options were limited, particularly in certain domains.
    * Mess food: Some students were not satisfied with the quality of food served in the mess.
    * Competition: As with any competitive program, some students found the academic environment demanding, with intense competition for grades and placements.

    Conclusion:
Uttaranchal University appears to be a good choice for BE/BTech aspirants seeking a strong placement record, modern infrastructure, and a supportive faculty. However, students should be prepared for potential challenges, such as varying teaching methods and limited internship opportunities. Overall, the university seems to provide a well-rounded education, helping students develop professionally and personally.

Q:   Is pursuing B.Tech at Uttaranchal University expensive?

    A:

Pursuing a B.Tech degree at Uttaranchal University may be considered moderately priced, While the tuition fees may seem competitive, additional costs such as accommodation, textbooks, and miscellaneous expenses should be factored in. Furthermore, the university's financial aid and scholarship programs can significantly alleviate the financial burden for deserving students. As a mentor, I advise prospective candidates to carefully weigh the costs against the quality of education, infrastructure, and career opportunities offered by Uttaranchal University before making a decision.

Uttaranchal University's annual B.Tech tuition fees fall within the average range compared to other private engineering colleges in India. They report an annual tuition fee of approximately INR 2.25 lakh (subject to change), which might be considered moderate depending on the personal perspective.
