Visva Bharati University Certificate Admission 2022

The university offers a wide range of two-year and one-year certificate courses across multiple specialisations. Details for all these courses are as follows:

Two-year Certificate Course (Language)

• Eligibility: A pass in Class 12 or its equivalent examination from a recognised university or board and the first language must be other than the language selected for study
• Seat intake: 42 seats per specialisation

Other Two-year Certificate Courses (Performing Arts)

Eligibility: A pass in Madhyamik or equivalent examination OR must be a staff, staff-ward or students of Visva-Bharati OR residents living within the radius of 8 Kms of Visva-Bharati (University premises)

Two-year Certificate Course (Design)

• Specialisation: Design (Craft Design: Textile/Floor/ Festival/Stage Decoration)
• Eligibility: A pass in Class 10
• Seat intake: 24

One-year Certificate Courses (Fine Arts)

• Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in subjects other than Fine Arts/ Visual Arts
• Intake: Minimum 3 students under each specialisation

Six-month Certificate Courses (in Music)

• Specialisations: Application of Folk Music, Rabindra Sangit
• Eligibility: A pass in Class 8. Students and employees of different departments of Visva-Bharati at the Sriniketan campus are also eligible
• Intake: 25
• Admission criteria: Admission test (online/offline) through viva-voice
