A compressive review - VIT campus.
Placements: In my course, nearly 80% of students are placed till now in my branch. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.3 LPA. There are multiple top companies like Samsung, Velankani, Eular Motors, and Embedded. These companies offer the best package and roles. Nearly 40% of students got internships in this college. Top roles offered are quality assurance, PCB hardware designer, and power electronic engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. Multiple labs are there like RAIL lab, IoT lab, cyber security lab, and C lab. Classrooms are air-conditioned. We have smart classrooms with projectors and audio-visual aids. Library has an extensive collection of books and research papers.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified with many holding PhDs from reputed institutions. Teaching quality is also very good. They use advanced technologies to focus on theoretical and practical knowledge. Curriculum is also well designed and regularly updated. Exam level is easy to moderate, and 40% is the minimum criteria to pass the exam.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the technology. Best thing is that I am doing hands-on practicals in the lab. One thing that can be better is more focus on the technical part rather than theory. So many events are organized by this college like Aarambh Advitya.

VIT: The Good, The Bad, The Memorable.
Placements: The placements in our college are really good, even though there are a little number of recruitment limits from every company. Placements are easier and better here, as this year there were about 300 companies which came to recruit us. If there were no placements, my plan was to do a Master’s abroad, probably in Singapore or Switzerland. The highest package last year was for 1.1 crore, and the average package was around 9.9 LPA. You need a minimum 6 CGPA to get placed, but I would recommend at least an 8 CGPA to be on the safe side for better companies.
Infrastructure: The campus life here is amazing, and the infrastructure is really good. Yes, there are a few old buildings, and they are getting renovated. The rooms provided are okay. It depends on the hostel, as newer built blocks have better rooms. If you choose 4 B.Ed and get the newer block (which is only for freshers), it’s nice and clean, but for the older blocks, even for 4 B.Ed, you get bunk beds and it feels so outdated.
Faculty: The curriculum completely depends on your choice and liking, as there is a system called FFCS in which you can select your own faculty and timetable. But the catch is, by the end of 4 years, you must complete at least a credit amount of 162, depending on which course you took. So, an average of 22 credits per semester, and depending on the subject, it will be approximately 2-3 credits, so you have to make a timetable worth 22 credits.
Other: There are numerous clubs to join, and a lot of festivities you can join and participate in, but most of them are really underwhelming to me. Personal opinion, I guess. The extracurricular activities are really good. I was disappointed with the football ground, as a football fanatic. I at least expected a turf ground, but it was just plain grass. The nightlife in VIT is really chill. It has become better over the years, though the curfew timings did not change at all. It’s pretty early, but it doesn’t make a lot of difference.

Integrated M.Tech. in Software Engineering - Batch of 2027

With good placements, flexibility and infrastructure .
Placements: I could say compared last 2 years placements are kept on increasing in number top companies visit every year and also the main positive is that there are so many clubs that u learn from and more to explore for the new things, choice of selecting the faculty members of our own and many more facilities that a student should get and one negative is that too much crowded.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms hostles with the faculty members of AC and Non AC in option with num of beds. All are with top quality and Mess also there are a lot of options with Non veg, non veg and special mess ( with extra juices and all )that is optional we can choose.
Faculty: Teachers are with top class and knowledgeable and the quality of teaching is first class and they are very friendly and helpful and ciricullam is quite acceptable when it comes to exams I would say there are cat1 and cat2 which is open book so that we try to learn the concept in depth rather by hearting the process and pass percentage is 50%.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Love-hate relationship with VIT.
Placements: In our course, almost all of our students were placed. The highest package was 50 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA. The top recruitment company was TCS, as far as I believe. Around 40% of the students got internships from our course, and the top roles offered were managerial positions, as far as I have heard.
Infrastructure: The facilities given are pretty standard but are neglected due to poor management. Wi-Fi has restricted times, where we can't use it after 12 AM until 7 AM. The mess food isn’t good, and lots of students have fallen sick because of it. The library is pretty decent, containing books for every request. Sports facilities are also great.
Faculty: Teachers are indeed helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum is surprisingly relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester exams varies from student to student, but for me, it has been easy so far. The pass percentage is 50% overall, and 40/100 marks are required in the final exam.
Other: Mechanical engineering is the course I chose because I like to be practical with things. I love roots and want to create them more advanced than ever. The crowd is really bad; there are lots of students here. I promise you that if the student intake is less, they will be better than a lot of NITs.

All You Need to Know About VIT
Placements: There are 75 students in each class, around 3000-4000 students in each batch, where 2000-3000 get placed every year. If you have skills, you can get a placement. The competition is tough, with low chances of getting an internship. Most of the top recruiting companies come here every year, including MANG and other top companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the campus is well-maintained. The library is up to date, and you can find most of the useful books, daily magazines, comics, mangas, etc. Medical facilities are also available in each hostel. The mess food is average, but you can find all types of mess options like veg, non-veg, Jain, and food items from all over India. The Wi-Fi speed is very bad.
Faculty: The curriculum is well-centralized on my selected specialization. The end-semester exams are not that difficult; you can easily pass them by studying two weeks before the exams. But getting an S grade is really tough. They also teach practically to make students ready for real-life problems, and there are lab classes and exams too.
Other: The campus is very crowded. You need to take permission from your proctor before going out of college. I chose this college and course because I didn’t have many options, and this was the best I had. They have weekly events you can easily enjoy, and there are many clubs so you can enjoy and get along with other students.

Integrated M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2028
2.8

Review about the 2028 passing-out batch.
Placements: I am pursuing M.Sc. Integrated Chemistry and there is no placement records in our Science department. I am in SAS (school of advanced Science) school. But I heard one guy secured 18LPA in his fourth year,. But I am unsure about it. The top roles that you can get offer after completing this course is industrialists, lab technician, assistant in lab works.
Infrastructure: You won't get proper signal in your classroom. Library is one of the most preferred place to study in VIT. The labs are pretty good and professor are very kind. The rooms are good enough, we have a good support system for other activities like sports, arts. Medical facilities are here for 24/7. Food is not that bad here. You can manage to survive here.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality too pretty good. The course curriculum is kind of similar to our department. The passing percentage is 50%. Core subjects are somewhat difficult to handle but highly appreciated.
Other: The best thing about the course is the course curriculum. We learnt python, C and C+, Java. Riviera is the best cultural event, I ever seen in other colleges. Campus is always crowd no matter what. Extracurricular activities are very much encouraged here. There are merit cum means scholarship is provided to those of rankholder in the department.
