He discussed the ongoing conflict between wants and needs that humans face. He shared his insights on how humans are both content consumers and creators. He also discussed the media's ever-present presence and how it affects our lives.

The eminent speakers of the conclave were –

Gurbir Singh, Consulting Editor, New Indian Express

He began the conversation by describing the many media formats available to the audience in order to help them deal with the challenge of their media diet's demands and goals. As the generations progress, he stressed how the tendency has evolved from print and television to digital media outlets. He went into greater detail regarding digital media platforms, emphasising the low entry hurdles and a large range of options available to media consumers.

Nikhil Chandwani, Co-founder - NYK DAILY

He began his discussion by underlining the sentimentality of news headlines and demystifying them. He discussed how clickbait news headlines deceive consumers and the importance of having the news headline match the substance. He pointed out that the widespread use of digital platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Google search made journalistic information extremely visible. This omnipresence of content has disastrous consequences since it might produce fake news that turns out to be true.

Arushi Sana, Founder - NYK DAILY

She addressed the subject by citing Vedic literature, explaining that Dharma is based on the concepts of Artha, or material and social necessities, and Kama, or wants and desires. She stressed how Dharma is a vital component of journalism, as it is about righteous behavior and communal obligation, which is necessary for the individual's, society's, and creation's survival and welfare. She also discussed how people are consuming news as they move away from the ‘Chai-Akbaar Phenomenon’ and toward short-form news forms; at the same time, while digitization is necessary, it is also frightening because it now has the capacity to overthrow and remake governments all over the world.

B.V. Rao, Group Editor - TV9 Network

"Our goal is to tell the reader what they need, not what they want," BV Rao said at the start of his address, referencing his first editor. This remark has left an indelible impression on him, and he lives by it. He talked about social media as a source of information that can occasionally spread false information. He believes that the conventional press goes to great lengths to obtain answers and presents important journalism abilities. When releasing any material, it is critical to be fair.

The moderator opened the floor for a Q&A session after the panel discussion.

As part of the colloquium on Dare2Compete, an essay writing competition called Critiqué was held, in which students from several colleges competed. The competition's results were announced during Communiqué's closing ceremonies.

College review for XIM University.

Placements: The branch office has been trying to bring in more and more companies to the placement in the college. They're trying more. The percentage of placements has also been increasing, which is a very good thing. Also, the average package is around 10 LPA, which is also good.

Faculty members are good but the hostel management is not good.

Placements: Companies come here only for formality and soft marketing. In the end, they don't select even a single student and say that we are not very qualified, so there is no point in choosing a UG student. It is better not to come, but at least don't say we are not skilled. They should not compare us with PG students.

Dissatisfied about placements.

Placements: The placements of my college are really bad, no placements are offered from the college. Only a student cell is present that tries to bring companies, but mostly unknown companies come and don't hire anyone. MBA placements are good.

MBA students get good placements. Mainly location is a disadvantage.

Placements: Honestly not expecting placements in BBM. The college provides internships and all but not that worth it. Specializations such as marketing and HR are available. I have no idea regarding the top role that is going to be offered, and I haven't passed yet.

I am satisfied with the hostel life, but at the same time angry for ruining my job opportunities.

Placements: * 5% of students get placed. * The lowest package is 1 LPA, the average is 1.5 LPA, and the highest is 7 LPA. * Macenlee Price, Silicon, and many other start-ups are the top recruiters. Internships are compulsory before the 3rd year. But it fully depends on the student, not the college. Senior developer trainee, intern, developer, etc. are the top roles offered.

With an NMAT score of 210, it may be challenging to secure admission in XIMB (Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar), as their typical cutoff scores tend to be higher. For example, previous cutoffs for NMAT ranged between 220-235 for well-established B-schools like NMIMS, and similar instituti
