First Impression and experience at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi
Placements: Since I am a student of B.Com (Hons), I can certainly tell that the commerce department places almost 50-60% of the students. Many companies visit the college during placements, including Deloitte, EY, PwC, Wipro, etc. The placement committee often shares many internship opportunities in the groups throughout the year as well. The highest package is 21 LPA, whereas the average package ranges between 4 to 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: IPCW offers a variety of facilities to its students. It has many facilities like the library, gym, canteen, auditorium, conference hall, computer rooms, labs, a huge ground, 3 lawns in the front, and many more. All the facilities are good here. Also, Wi-Fi is available all over the college, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If we talk about the hostels, IPCW has 2 hostels. One is KG Hostel, which lies within the college, for which a student needs to clear a cutoff. The other one is IP Hostel, which lies outside the college.
Faculty: One of the best things here is that all the professors are well-educated and experienced. Almost all the teachers have done their Ph.D. or are currently doing it. They are knowledgeable and helpful as well. They are always ready to help students with all the doubts. The course curriculum is also well-structured and well-planned. Classes are taken on time, and the syllabus is relevant to the course as it contains both theory and practical knowledge that applies to the real world as well. Semester exams are moderate. The passing percentage is 40% overall.
Other: I chose this course since I was a commerce student, so I was very clear from the beginning that I had to do this course, and by God's grace, I got it as well. One thing that could be improved about the course is that it should contain more real-world examples and situations and training or courses within the curriculum so that the students gain knowledge and more skills for the corporate world. Overall, my college experience has been great here. Financial aid is also available, and if one wants, they can have many advantages during their college life.

Great faculty and really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Great faculty and the most beautiful college in Delhi. The teachers are very supportive, and the main focus is on presentations and assignments. It's a great area to score good marks. You need to score well in the CUET to take admission in the college. More than 700 is needed for the general category. You can get this college at around 570-600 for the lower category.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is very good. I don’t need to go very far for another class. The infrastructure is beautiful, and you will fall in love with the beauty of the college instantly. More than 700 is needed for the general category. You can get this college at around 570-600 for the lower category.
Faculty: The faculty is great. Various societies are available for joining, and seniors are also very supportive. They clear each and every doubt of ours. More than 700 is needed for the general category. You can get this college at around 570-600 for the lower category.
Other: Great events and fests are organized by the college. The campus crowd is great.

Indraprastha college for women.
Placements: According to the college, 70% of the students get placement each year. The highest placement is 35 lakhs, the lowest is zero, and the average would be 8 lakhs. The top recruiters are Deloitte, Paytm, etc. My college is best for political science students and economics majors.
Infrastructure: My college has very decent infrastructure: table benches, many rooms, Wi-Fi, 5–6 labs according to the course, decent rooms, a three-story library with AC, a gym, a pool, a canteen and a bunch of sports activities like badminton court, tennis, basketball, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and qualified, and my course is good for the students and makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are medium-level and difficult. But the period is very short for students to get prepared for, as they only give 3–6 months.

Amazing infrastructure, well-maintained, mesmerizing greenery, inactive societies.
Placements: Well, I'm a student of B.Com (Hons) of the 2026 batch. We have a placement cell named JET, and it is really active in providing students with internship opportunities and also attracting the topmost companies for placement. 70% of students were placed this year in top companies like EY and Deloitte. The highest package was 2,200,000, the lowest offered was 200,000, and the average package is 400,000. Almost 75% are able to crack internships in top companies like EY. Top roles are financial audit, management consultant, etc.
Infrastructure: To be honest, infrastructure is the best part of the college. I really love the infrastructure, greenery, beauty, and the pace of my college. Academic blocks are very well maintained, with proper ventilation facilities. There are literally numerous varieties of plants, trees, and flowers in our college, which catch our eyes every single day when we step into the college. In addition, cute little cats in our college make our day. Amenities are good, like water coolers are available at different places. There are various Wi-Fi connections in the college. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is good. Well, I have never lived in the hostel of my college as I have been living in a private PG since the very first day, so I do not have much idea regarding hostel facilities and all. Some of my college friends who live in the college hostel tell me about the hostel situation. They say that overall the hostel facilities are average, like the food is neither good nor bad—it's average. They said that the hostel rules are strict, like the maximum time for staying out is 10 PM, and if you're a bit late, the consequences are a bit much. It also needs to improve its water supply and Wi-Fi speed.
Faculty: The faculty of my branch in Indraprastha College for Women consists of experienced old individuals who have a lot of knowledge. On the contrary, they have the potential to become the best if they become a little bit lenient and calm towards the students. Although, some professors are very good. They even teach really well, as if we do not have to learn the topics all over again—only revisions are good to go. The professors have strong academic backgrounds as they have studied from the top colleges of India, including Delhi University itself. The curriculum is relevant enough to make students industry-ready, but students are advised to keep improving their skills by pursuing more and more internships, as the competition is really high. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: Well, I am pursuing B.Com (Hons). In addition, this is one of the most demanded courses of Delhi University, as the university provides plenty of opportunities for students belonging to the Commerce stream. It provides good placement packages at top companies. Lastly, my motive for enrolling in this program is to gain knowledge under different streams, like our course covers wider topics such as Law, Business Mathematics, Marketing, Accounting, and International Business, which are all important for someone like me who wants to build a career in the corporate world. Well, for the time being, I'm fully satisfied with my course, so I don't think there could be any other improvement according to me. My overall campus life is good, especially because of my college friends. They are amazing. In addition, we do enjoy our college life to the fullest as we participate in various activities taking place in our college and other colleges as well. Talking about clubs and societies, unfortunately, they are not active. Talking about our college fest, known as "Shruti," it's really good, and we truly had fun in our fest as we literally danced and enjoyed a lot. We also participated in a lot of competitions conducted in our college fest. Our college's Diwali Mela is very well known, and we enjoy it a lot, doing dandiya and grooving to music.

Good experience overall.
Placements: In B.Com (Hons), a good number of students got placed, as many companies offer good CTC during placements. Some of the companies that recruit from IPCW include Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Zomato, Willis Towers Watson, Deshaw, and others. The average package received by B.Com (Hons) students is 4.7-5 LPA, with the highest package of 21 LPA offered by Deshaw. Students get placed in good roles like Business Analyst, Auditing Assistant, HR, Tax Analyst, and many others. IPCW also offers various internships in good companies and NGOs, helping students enhance their personalities and reflect their skills on their CVs. Overall, it's good.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, and the infrastructure is also impressive. IPCW has the best infrastructure compared to other DU colleges. There are fully centralized labs, a library, and Wi-Fi for a good internet connection. The classrooms are well-ventilated and clean, with proper maintenance throughout.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, with a mix of young and senior faculty members. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and understanding. They use the best teaching methods, balancing both modern and traditional styles to deliver their knowledge effectively. As a B.Com (Hons) student, I would say this college offers many opportunities for growth and helps students become industry specialists.
Other: Overall, this B.Com (Hons) course is worth the value. It provides students with opportunities to shape themselves and become industry specialists in various fields. The mix of practical and theoretical knowledge makes the course more engaging and interesting. IPCW also conducts events, fests, and extracurricular activities, giving students chances to showcase their talents and grow.
