JMI from the eye of a 1st semester student.
Placements: Placement after B.Com (Hons) is not very good from any of the colleges, the reason being the course itself. What makes a difference is what you do with it, like professional courses such as CA, CS, CFA, ACCA, FRM, etc. After all, the highest placement is 16 lakhs per annum. The average package is 4-6 lakhs per annum. The median package is 8 lakhs per annum. Top recruiters are all the big companies and startups. Roles offered are HR, management, finance, executive, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great, too good. There are 256 acres of land. There are two girls' hostels, two boys' hostels, and one NRI hostel. There is a central library of seven floors with more than 350,000 books. Every department has its library as well in its building. There are a total of 11 canteens which provide veg and non-veg, Indian, Mughal, Chinese, and Italian cuisine. Food is good and very affordable as well. Wi-Fi is free on campus for all the students, which you can access through verification by your admission number. There is a sports complex as well in which there is a cricket stadium, a football ground, a basketball court, volleyball courts, a tennis court, a badminton court, a gym, a yoga room, a gymnasium, etc. Also, every department has its own garden as well for students to sit, have fun, or work.
Faculty: Teachers are all Ph.D. qualified and experienced of more then 15-20 years. They are very friendly to students as well and help them in there learning. Curriculum is not gonna make you industry ready not at all B.Com (Hons) is very outdated course. Exam are difficult as a normal central university have but as students are good in study that why they are in university soo every one is passed.
Other: I chose the course because I wanted to become eligible for my primary goal, which is CFA. Without a UG degree, I cannot be eligible for that, so choosing the course was my personal reason. There are events every second day, believe me. Because there are more than 100 courses which are provided here, the crowd is great. Everybody has cleared the exam. Connectivity is also great from public transport as well. There are two bus stops and two metro stations at both ends of the university. There are many societies, more than 30 to 40. They all are active and work regularly.

Really good infrastructure and teaching method.
Placements: It have the highest number of placements in corporate firms. As I listen to our seniors and batchmates, they also give internship. My cousin offered me a job as an accountant in single entry as a consultant and a junior accountant. Jamia has better placements compared to other colleges.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well organized. There were also libraries or reading rooms to study for exams. In our hostel, the surroundings were fresh and green. Food is not as good as home but it is okay to eat. The hostel also has a study room and a computer room and Wi-Fi is also available.
Faculty: Exams were conducted twice a year. Teachers are qualified at the professional level; they are very helpful and joyful, and their teaching style is very nice and adaptable. Semester exams are difficult, and the answer sheet is very strictly checked so that you study well .

Overall, campus life in Jamia is good, but there is no placement provided by them.
Placements: Only 5% of students got placement; the highest package is 500000, the lowest is 300000 and the average is mostly 350000. There is no internship provided by the B.Com. (Hons.) course. Some companies are recruiting students, but they are not that big and don't provide high placement offers.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities provided by Jamia Millia Islamia are far better than those of other colleges, buildings, classrooms, and libraries. Wi-Fi facilities, labs and grounds are all so good. The hostel is okay because it does not have AC rooms; otherwise, the hostel is also good.
Faculty: Some teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable; they work hard for students but some teachers are not serious; they just come and pass their time. It doesn't make students industry-ready because there are no internship facilities or extracurricular activities that make students industry-ready.
Other: My B.Com (Hons) course is not good; I chose this course just because I got the name B.Com (Hons); otherwise, I don't have the intention to do the B.Com (Hons) course. Yes, there are some festivals and events that happen in this course; sports events also happen in Jamaica.

It is one of the best colleges to join.
Placements: More than 55% of students got placed this year in companies like KPMG, Accenture, and ICICI Bank. The highest salary package offered is around 9.8 LPA - 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has 2 storeyed building. It has an office and head of the department. The office is for solving queries and handling problems. There are separate offices for different professors. Our college has two computer labs. It has more than 10 classrooms. The hostel is well-maintained. It has a mess. It provides food two times a day. The quality of the food is good.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified professionals. The teaching quality is quite understandable. Exams are easy. Students can score good marks in every semester. The pass percentage is 35%. Almost 75% of attendance is mandatory. Around 85-90% of students pass exams.
Other: I chose this course because it provides many opportunities. Our college students conduct a lot of fests and events. Our course is for three years.

Food served in the mess is up to the mark. The medical center treats students in a very professional manner and is stacked with new technologies.

A:
{Source: M.Com students & alumni}

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) - Is it Good for M.Com?

Based on reviews from current students and alumni, here's what they say:

* Placement Record: While the college claims to have a good placement record, the reality seems to be different. According to students, only about 20% of students get placed, with the highest package offered being INR5.5 LPA.
* Recruiters: Companies like Samsung, Kotak Mahindra, DMI Housing Finance, and Acxiom visit the campus for placements, but the number of recruiters is relatively small.
* Course Curriculum: The M.Com course is well-structured and covers finance, accounting, and purchasing, making students industry-ready.
* Teaching Quality: Some students feel that the teaching quality could improve, while others appreciate the support and guidance received from faculty members.
* Infrastructure: The college has a beautiful campus with modern infrastructure, including a large library, laboratories, and a sports complex.
* Scholarships: JMI offers scholarships to deserving students, including the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

In conclusion, while Jamia Millia Islamia has its strengths, particularly in terms of infrastructure and course structure, the placement record for M.Com appears to be inconsistent. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before deciding whether JMI is the right fit for them.

Q:   Can I get into BSc at Jamia Millia Islamia without CUET?

A:

Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission to a total of four BSc/ BSc (Hons) courses via CUET UG. As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BSc at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. However, since some universities are also considering other components while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET.

But, this being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission, it is tough to give the right answer. Students are therefore advised to reach out to the admission office for more details.
