Allahabad University is the fourth oldest University in India. It started its journey in 1887 with an aim to impart and disseminate education among the people of the country. Now it is a Central University, engaged in producing competent and skilled youth who will contribute to the growth and development of the country successfully. The university offers several undergraduates, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in humanities, science, commerce, law and medicine. It also conducts ‘certificate and diploma’ courses on certain subjects. In 2005, ‘Institute of National Importance’ honour had been conferred upon Allahabad University.

Admission to Allahabad University is done on the basis of admission tests like PGAT, LFAT, LAT, etc. Besides, the university conducts examinations for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Some of the examinations are held annually and some semester-wise. An academic year is divided between two semesters-Autumn Semester and Spring Semester. The examinations of the autumn (odd) semesters are held in December, while that of the spring (even) semesters are held in May/June. The annual examinations for all Allahabad University courses are held in April. Allahabad University publishes the results of undergraduate and postgraduate courses within a month of the completion of the examination. All AU Results are published online. Here are a few guidelines to help the students to check their Allahabad University Results 2019

• First of all, the students are required to visit the website of the university
• On the ‘home page’, they would have to click the result option
• The result links of all the examinations will be seen on the screen
• Next, they would choose their respective exams/semesters and year
• After, they must click on the ‘View Result’ option
• The complete result pdf can be seen on the screen
• The candidates would have to write their roll numbers to check their results
• They may take out a print out of their online AU Results

After the publication of Allahabad University Results 2019, the university will issue mark sheets to the students. So, they are advised not to consider the online result as their mark sheets. However, the mark sheets of AU Results contain the names, roll numbers, registration numbers of the candidates and marks and grades obtained by them. It shows the marks secured by the candidates in theory, practical and viva separately. To pass in the examination, the candidates would have to pass in all the theory and practical papers individually. The marksheets of AU Results also contain all the details about the grades. For example: if a candidate scores 90% and above, he will get ‘A+’ grade. Similarly, if he scores 80% and above in a paper, he will get grade ‘A’. ‘P’ in the mark sheet denotes Pass and ‘F’ indicates Fail. A candidate will be eligible to sit for the next examination, only if he passes in all the papers or subjects in the present examination.

If a candidate fails in any paper, he/she may appear for Supplementary Re-Examination, held in August. To appear for the Supplementary Re-Examination, candidates would have to fill up the forms and deposit the requisite money online using the credit/debit cards or through online banking mode. Allahabad University publishes the Supplementary Exam results online too.

Again, if a candidate is not satisfied with his/her marks in a paper or subject, he/she can apply for re-evaluation. The rules of the re-evaluation are written at the back of the mark sheets. For re-evaluation, the candidates need to download the form from the website of the university. They would then fill up the form and submit it with the required money. After, the re-evaluation, the university publishes the result of re-evaluation online. The students can check their results following the same procedure. If the numbers of a paper change after re-evaluation, candidates would receive fresh mark sheets. The re-evaluation marks will be considered as the final marks.
