Bharathiar University results were declared on the official website of the University. The University has declared the results for UG, PG and MPhil programmes. The exams were conducted in November. The University releases results in two categories, namely affiliated colleges results and University department results.

The University follows a semester pattern for all UG and PG courses. Exam for odd semesters conducted in November/ December whereas, the exam for even semesters conducted in May/ June. The University announces results under four departments, namely Centre for Participatory Programmes (CPP), Centre for Online Programmes (COP), Centre for Collaboration of Industry and Institution (CCII) and School of Distance Education (SDE).

The results for odd semester exams were declared on the official website of the University. Candidates need to click on the desired subject to view results. Candidates can check the results by clicking on the respective option.

Bharathiar University Results 2020

Bharathiar University semester results for UG and PG courses, including BA, BPEd, BVoc, MSc, MA, MCom and MBA were announced on the official website of the University. Appeared students can check the results by following the below-mentioned steps:

1. Visit the official website of the University, www.b-u.ac.in

2. Click on the “Results” button available on the top of the website

Bharathiar University Evaluation Process 2020

Bharathiar University follows a grading system for the evaluation process of all UG and PG programmes. There are separate grading criteria use for UG and PG programmes.

Minimum attendance rule for UG and PG programmes:

A candidate must secure at least 75% of attendance in the number of working days during the semester to be eligible for the external examination. A candidate who has obtained less than 65% but 55% and above attendance in any semester is required to compensate for the shortage of attendance in the subsequent semester. A candidate who has secured less than 55% of attendance in any semester shall not be allowed to appear for the regular examinations.

Bharathiar University UG Grading System:

A total of 140 credits are allocated to three years of UG programmes. The University will allot a grade regarding each course, based on the range of total marks. A candidate must secure at least 40% aggregate in the external examination to pass the examination.

Criteria for the grading system followed for UG programmes is mentioned in the table below:

From the second semester onwards, the total performance of the candidates will be indicated by Grade Point Average (GPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). GPA is calculated on the below basis:

Gi = Grade point obtained by the course i

n = Number of courses passed

Similarly, CGPA = GPA of all the courses starting from the first semester to the last semester

Bharathiar University PG Grading System:

The evaluation of PG programmes is also based on a grading system. The University will allot a grade regarding each course, based on the range of total marks. A candidate must secure at least 50% aggregate in the external examination to pass the examination in a particular subject.

The criteria for the grading system followed for PG programmes is given in the table below:

From the second semester onwards, the total performance of the candidates will be indicated by Grade Point Average (GPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). GPA is calculated on the below basis:

Bharathiar University Revaluation Process 2020

Bharathiar University allows students who are getting a fewer mark or fail mark in subjects to apply for revaluation. Revaluation process is available for all UG, PG and doctorate courses. Students can apply for the revaluation process within 12 days of the declaration of results.

Candidates need to fill an application form to apply for the revaluation process. The application fee for revaluation process is Rs 325 per paper (Rs 300 for evaluation and Rs 25 for application). Follow the below-mentioned steps for the complete revaluation process:

1. Visit the official website of the University, www.b-u.ac.in

2. Download the application form and fill it by entering required details

3. Send the duly filled application form at the below address

4. Pay the application fee through DD in favour of Registrar, Bharathiar University
