K.R. Mangalam University is considered to be one of the best private institutes in the northern region. It believes in and motivates the overall development of its students and supports them in all possible ways to achieve the same. There are various student societies and clubs in almost all departments of the university, including cultural ones. All these clubs and societies keep organising various contests and competitions, such as quizzes, workshops, site visits, technical talks, and career development webinars on a regular basis.

Following are some of the best student societies at the KR Mangalam University:

  • DIA, Enlightening Lives Through Design: Being the design club at KRMU, this society has members mainly from the School of Architecture and Design. From time to time, this club sends a group of members to Gurgaon and other NGOs in the Delhi-NCR area for possible interventions at the institutional or community level to help and support people. The club basically works on two challenges, which include design interventions for inhabitants of the Earth Saviours Foundation and the Project OAN (Observation and Action Network) 2021 Grants Program launched by the National Association of Students of Architecture.
  • Chetna Society: The main aim of this society is to encourage its students to have a balanced and focused life through a spiritual programme for their holistic development. This society keeps organising sessions where students are taught to gain and enhance wisdom and inner peace.
  • Investment Club (KIC): This club is dedicated to all those members who want to enter the investment management field through various seminars, workshops, and sessions. The meetings are generally held on a weekly basis, where students can share their ideas and thoughts.
  • Consultancy Club (KCC): This club is for all those students who want to have a career in the consulting industry. They are given lessons on how to identify glitches in their respective businesses or prospects for expansion at the same time. They highly believe that such goals can be achieved using the KASAM approach, which simply means knowledge, attitude, skills, ambition, and moral values.
  • Health Society: The main motive of this society is to create awareness among people regarding diseases such as anemia, diabetes, heart problems, etc. The society has collaborated with various NGOs, like Sankalp Sangh to organise health camps in the nearby rural areas. Basic tests such as blood group, blood pressure, blood sugar, etc. were generally conducted in such camps. The society has also contributed a lot during the pandemic by delivering lectures on how to prevent COVID-19.
  • Placement Society and Club: This is one of the most important clubs of the university; here students are given opportunities to be industry-ready and to bridge the gap between industry and academia. The main goal of the society is to ensure that an optimum number of webinars, seminars, and workshops are organised from time to time for all interested students. The members of the clubs are also responsible for connecting with companies about their requirements during the placement season.

All the above-mentioned clubs and societies have dedicated student coordinators to support society and to run it in a smooth manner. If any student of the university has any doubts or needs clarity with respect to the societies can contact the concerned coordinators or respective departments.

Sports Society at KR Mangalam University:

The university believes that sports play a crucial role in the life of students and their growth. The university has an excellent infrastructure for several sports such as Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, and Basketball. The sports society of the university also organised an Annual Inter-University Sports Event. The event included activities like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Tables Tennis Singles, Tables Tennis Doubles, Badminton Doubles (M &W), Athletics (M) – 100M, 200M, Athletics (W) – 100M, 200(M). Close to 210 students from 13 different institutes took part in the event that was held on the 11th & 12th of March 2022. Some of the major universities that participated in this sports event included G. D. Goenka University, S.G.T University, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, etc.
