The planet that we live on today is no longer the way it was in the past centuries. With the human development, technology has grown stronger roots and this growing importance and strength of the same have benefited the IT industry the most. In the past few decades, this industry has been growing at a rapid pace, providing benefits to the consumers and employment to the people in general. Not only has it benefited just its customers or the plot employees, but also the country on a whole. IT industry has contributed about 7.5% to the country's GDP in 2012, which further validates it to be a rapidly rising industry as the contribution was only about 1.2% in 1998. According to NASSCOM, the IT sector in India has reportedly gathered revenues of US$160 billion in the current year 2017. This establishes the opportunities and development that this sector holds in itself.

The IT service sector, that took birth in 1967 in India with the establishment of Tata Group in Mumbai, grew with small pace until 1991, when the economic reforms were adopted and the concept of globalization entered the Indian economy. After 1991, IT service sector flourished at a good pace by making 77% of its revenue from the exports to the U.S. and other countries. As of 2006, 40% of country's GDP and 30% of export earnings were the results of the services provided by this industry.

The placements at the Institute of Management Studies, Noida are provided by a dedicated placement cell that offers placement assistance to its students. The IMS Noida placement cell provides training to the students. The curriculum for the BCA program is sculpted to provide the students a strong understanding of the core subjects and different programming languages by means of focused lectures by highly qualified and experienced faculty and ample of practical exposure to strengthen the hands-on understanding on the learned concepts. Every College should adopt latest technology and infrastructure to give the best to the students. The MCA program comprises of more advanced and specialized courses in IT to provide the students with superior knowledge and skills to cater to the complex demands of the IT industry. Students should be trained on latest programming languages and tools to enable their smooth transformation into highly efficient and well-informed IT professionals.

About the placement I would say that was not that much good because about only 40 to 45% of the students were only getting placed and not that much hide the companies were coming like there were only one company like jar and Mahindra tech another local companies which were there around them. About the average package which a student was getting I would say like it was 2 Lacs to 3 Lacs only.

The group discussion and always taken online basis only because it that was the time of corona that's why they have taken the online test and GD and a personal interview by all by online only so that first they have taken that test for the address and after that they have taken online GD and personal interview and it was quite a good experience because all the invigilators and all were quite supporting and their not letting anyone that feels low and they keep supporting us and keep motivated. And the all the things have been very clear and I have also God selected in it and I have properly completed my graduation without any problem.
