ABES Engineering College, in Ghaziabad, is affiliated with the state university Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It is one of the top-ranked colleges in AKTU. The college has NAAC accreditation and several departments are NBA certified. The college has been awarded a 4.5 rating by the innovation cell of the government of India.

ABES Engineering college has a uniform for students. Students must abide by the uniform code inside the college campus. The college is affiliated with AKTU, but AKTU norms have no bearing on this. In the absence of a uniform code for its affiliated colleges, AKTU's colleges are free to apply the uniform code. It is a complete volunteer process and is meant to promote integrity, discipline and equality within the college campus. It is also mandatory to wear an ID card during academic hours.

Uniform Code for Male Students

Summer Uniform: The upper portion of the uniform comprises a light sky blue shirt without any monogram, and a maroon colour tie with faded ABES written on it. The bottom part of the uniform comprises dark grey pants paired with a black belt. However, a belt and tie are not mandatory to wear.

Winter Uniform: For winter, the college mandates a grey colour sweatshirt with an ABES badge on it. Students have an option to wear a navy blue blazer or a grey sweater over the sweatshirt.

Footwear: Here students have some leverage, they can wear formal shoes as well informal shoes like flat sneakers. The colour of the shoes should be black. However, only laced shoes are permitted. Besides flat sneakers, all other categories of footwear are prohibited. There is no compulsion or regulation for the socks, students can even choose not to wear them.

Uniform Code for Female Students

Summer Uniform: The girls have to wear a light sky blue shirt paired with a maroon scarf, which is not a must. The texture of the scarf is the same as the tie and ABES is printed all over the scarf. The bottom part is also the same as of the male students. Dark grey pants are paired with a dark coloured belt, usually black.

The number of students who can enroll in the B.Tech programme at ABES Engineering College can vary each year based on the College policies, infrastructure, faculty availability, and other factors. Currently, total seat intake for B.Tech is 1500 students out of  which 240 seats each for Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and  Computer Science, 180 seats each for Computer Science and Engineering ( Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), Computer Science and Engineering ( Data Science) and Electronics and Communication Engineering and 60 seats each for Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Engineering. A:

For admission thorugh conseling, the eligibility criterias are-

1. Passed Bachelor’s degree course of three years from any recognised Indian University or its equivalent; recognised by A.I.U.

For admission thorugh management quota, the eligibility criterias are-

1. Firstly, candidates Qualified UPSEE (Current Year) will be considered for admission.

2. Secondly admission is given by the merit of candidates in qualifying examinations.

Winter Uniform: Winter uniforms for both genders remain the same. Girls have to wear a grey sweatshirt and can carry a navy blue blazer or a dark grey sweater over it.

Footwear: Female students can wear women’s formal shoes or low heel ankle shoes. The colour of the shoes must be black.  For girls, laced shoes are not compulsory.

College also has t-shirts for students of different branches. The colour of the t-shirt is different for different branches like an orange colour t-shirt for mechanical, white one for Electronics etc. The aim is to easily point out students of different branches during the inter-branch competitions.

It is mandatory to submit the total uniform charges at the time of admission. It is to be submitted only in cash; other modes of payment services are not applicable. 

Items Prohibited with Uniform 

ABES Engineering College has put some limitations on students' attire. They are not allowed to wear any fancy bracelets, any type of jewellery, or casual clothes. Tattoos and piercings that are visible are restricted in the college. Though there is no restriction on hairstyles.

Exceptions in Uniform 

The college has an exception for uniforms only during the college fest. Students are free to wear any casual clothes without hesitation only during the college festival.
