DU CSAS UG 2024 admission process includes three phases - submitting the CSAS application form, selecting programmes and filling out preferences, and allocating seats and accepting admission.  In the first phase, candidates will be required to submit their application form after filling in their basic details. How to fill DU Admission Form 2024

DU Admission Process 2024 is yet to start. After the CUET UG results, candidates interested to take admission in Delhi University will be required to register to the Delhi University Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. Candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for taking admission in DU UG course through CSAS. After the registration process, DU will also release the third merit list of candidates at the official website of Delhi University.

DU CSAS UG 2024 admission process includes three phases - submitting the CSAS application form, selecting programmes and filling out preferences, and allocating seats and accepting admission.  In the first phase, candidates are supposed to submit their application form after filling in their basic details. It must be noted that in the personal details; i.e. name, signature and photograph gets automatically updated through the CUET application form 2024, so it can not be edited. However, candidates are given an option to edit other personal details like email id, Father's name, Mother's name, home address, etc. 

The phase 2 process will start after the declaration of CUET UG score. In this candidates are required to to select the colleges and programme combination. Candidates must note that they have to confirm the programme-specific CUET-UG merit score for all the selected programmes. Candidates are supposed to select the college and programme combination before the deadline. Once it is submitted, the preference order cannot be changed. In case the candidate forgets to select the preferences, then whatever preference was last saved by an individual gets saved automatically.

The third phase of DU CSAS, includes multiple rounds of allotment and admission. A candidate are supposed to check the seat and college allotted to them by visiting the common admission portal. The allotment by DU is based on a number of factors — combination of college and programmes chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate and availability of seats.

How to Fill DU Admission Form 2024?

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to fill DU registration form 2024:

Step 1: Fill DU registration form 2024

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to fill the DU registration form:

  • Go to the DU admission portal 2024 for UG courses (https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in/).
  • Click on the New Registration tab (If you are already registered, enter your CUET Application Number and Password).
  • Enter your CUET Application Number and DOB.
  • Click on Submit button.

Once all details are filled, candidates need to click on the Submit button and move to the next step of the DU application form – Academic details.

Once the form is submitted, the following Personal details will not be changed:

e. Mobile number

Q:   Is CUET exam registration open?

A:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025 registration will commence in the first week of February 2025. NTA will release the CUET 2025 notification. Soon after the release of the notification, the CUET registration 2025 process will commence online at cuetug-ac.ntaonline.in. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2025 exam must ensure that they fill out the application form online. CUET 2025 registration will end in the first week of April 2025. Further to the last date, candidates will not be able to fill out the CUET application form. No request for extension of CUET registration until the last date will be entertained.

Before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure they fulfil the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam. 

Q:   Is DU admission open?

A:

DU admission for 2025 will open soon. Currently, the applications are open for PhD programme till Dec 10, 2024. Admission in Delhi University is based on CUET-UG and CUET-PG scores. Below are the upcoming events for DU admission:

  • The CUET PG registration process 2025 for admission to PG courses is expected to begin during the last week of Dec 2024, tentatively.
  • The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.

Q:   How many subjects can a candidate choose in CUET UG while filling the application form?

A:

The numbers for choosing CUET sujects is five.  

Section 1A- (13 languages) Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu.

Section 2- (23 subjects) Accountancy/ Book Keeping,  Biology/ Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry,  Business Studies,  Chemistry,  Computer Science/ Informatics Practices,  Economics/ Business Economics, Geography/Geology,  History,  Home Science,  Knowledge Tradition and Practices of India,  Environmental Science,  Mathematics,  Physical Education/ NCC /Yoga,  Physics,  Political Science,  Psychology,  Sociology,  Agriculture,  Mass Media/ Mass Communication,  Anthropology,  Fine Arts/ Visual Arts (Sculpture/ Painting)/Commercial Arts,  Performing Arts – (i) Dance (Kathak/ Bharatnatyam/ Oddisi/ Kathakali/Kuchipudi/ Manipuri (ii) Drama- Theatre (iii) Music General (Hindustani/ Carnatic/ Rabindra Sangeet/ Percussion/ Non-Percussion),  Sanskrit [For all Shastri (Shastri 3 years/ 4 years Honours), and Tourism

It may be noted that candidates can fill the bank details at a later time also by clicking on the Save & Continue Later button that appears on the top part of the page in the preview mode.

Note: If the marksheet contains both Class 11 and Class 12th marks, only the Class 12th marks must be entered. It is mandatory that the candidate must have passed Theory and Practical separetly. 

Once all the academic details are filled, candidates need to click on the Submit button. On clicking the button, a preview will be generated. Candidates can move to the next section, by clicking on the Next button.

Step 4: Sports quota admissions

This page is for candidates who want to secure admission in Delhi University under sports quota. Details to be filled on the page include:

Name of the game/ sport that they play

Details of the highest level of merit/ participation sports certificate in the relevant game/ sport

Note:  Candidates desirous of seeking admission on the basis of Sports Supernumerary Quota can apply for a maximum of three Games/Sports. Candidates can upload self-attested copies of a maximum of three Merit/Participation Sports Certificates of the preceding five years issued between April 1, 2017 to June 30, 2024 only. Also, there is an additional application fee of INR 100 if a candidate wants to apply for DU admissions 2024 under sports quota.

Q:   Is it easy to get into DU?

A:

DU is like a dream university for students around India. One of the reason could be low fee and high benefits. DU students not only enjoy great placements but also get to enjoy the capital city of India. Hence, the competition is tough. It is tough but not impossible for students to get admission in this reputed university. The admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main,  CUET, and others. 

Q:   How can I get MBA from DU?

A:

Below are the steps to get in MBA at DU:

Step 1: Candidates first need to register for MBA course at the DU college of their choice. Below are the application fee:

Step 2: The selection to MBA course will be based on CAT score. The shortlisted candidates will be further called for personal interview round. The university also considers the academic performance of the aspirants in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation. 

Step 3: Once you qualify all the selection rounds, you need to check the merit list. DU releases a merit list announcing the names of selected candidates. You need to pay the course fee to confirm a seat in the university.

Q:   How can I get admission in DU for LLM?

A:

Candidates need to first register for LLM course to the begin admission process. Below is the DU admission process for LLM programme:

Step 1: DU LLM Application Process 2025

Aspirants meeting the eligibility condition can apply online. They need to fill out the application form, upload documents and pay the application fee.

Step 2: Entrance Exam/ Selection

DU accepts CUET PG score for admission to LLM course. The faculty of Law conducts LLM Entrance Test in online mode for a duration of two hours for shortlisting aspirants for LLM admission. 

Step 3: Counselling

All admissions will be made after physical or online counselling. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. After verification, candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Q:   What is the last date for filling CUET application form?

A:

National Testing Agency will commence the CUET 2025 registration in first week of February 2025. Soon after the release of the CUET notification candidates candidates can check the important dates pertaining to CUET 2025. The last date for CUET 2025 registration is expected to be in first week of April 2025. 

Candidats will be required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

Once all details are filled and certificates are uploaded, candidates need to click on the Submit button. On clicking Submit, candidates can either apply for another game/ sport by clicking on Add Another Game/ Sport button or else proceed to the next section by clicking on Next.

Step 5: ECA quota admissions

Similar to sports quota, this page is for candidates who want to secure admission in Delhi University under Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) quota. The page will contain various categories and sub-categories in which candidates can apply for admission.

Admission through the ECA Supernumerary Quota for the academic year 2024-25 will be done in 14 ECA Categories. Candidates desirous of seeking admission on the basis of the ECA Supernumerary Quota can apply for a maximum of three ECA categories. For each ECA category in which the candidate is applying, s(he) must upload a maximum of Best Five self-attested certificates of the preceding five years, issued between the time period of April 1, 2017 to June 30, 2024 only.

Once all details are filled, candidates need to click on the Submit button. On clicking Submit, candidates can either select another ECA category by clicking on Add Another Activity button or else proceed to the next section by clicking on Next.

Note: Candidates can choose maximum three ECA categories. Also, it is mandatory for candidates to upload at least one certificate for each category. Furthermore, there is an additional application fee of INR 100 if a candidate wants to apply for DU admissions 2024 under ECA quota.

Step 6: Documents upload

On this page, candidates need to upload all the required documents.  It may be noted that candidates will not be able to preview the application and pay the registration fee without uploading the mandatory documents. The official website of Delhi University informs, “The uploaded documents will need to be presented in the colleges at the time of admission, for online and/or forensic verification. If any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the applicant will be debarred from attending any course in the University / or its colleges for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC (viz. 470, 471, 474 etc.) may be initiated.”

Once all the documents are uploaded, candidates can move to the Next section/ page.

Step 7: Final Submission

Once the CSAS-2024 Application Form has been filled and the documents are uploaded, the candidate must submit the form by paying the CSAS 2024 Application fee. A candidate will become eligible to participate in CSAS-2024 only after the successful realization of the application fees within the stipulated time. The fee must be paid only through the Payment Gateway link provided on the candidate's dashboard. There is no other method available to candidates than this online link generated to pay the CSAS-2024 Application fee. If the application fee is not successfully remitted, the application will not be considered for allocation under any circumstances. For all payments, candidates should use any of these payment modes: Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card/UPI/

Step 8: Payment

In this last section, candidates need to pay the DU application fee in online mode.

Once the DU registration fees 2024 is successfully paid, candidates’ online application process will be complete.

CSAS Process for Admission in Delhi University UG Courses

For academic session 2024-25 admission is through CSAS. Candidates were required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for taking admission in DU UG course through CSAS. Candidates aspiring to take admission in Delhi University after the CUET result, can follow the step by step process to take admission in Delhi University.

  • Interested candidates are required to visit the official website of the Delhi University i.e., www.admission.uod.ac.in.
  • Eligible candidates are required to apply to the University of Delhi.
  • In the next step, candidates need to fill the preferences of courses and colleges allocation-cum-admission.
  • Candidates are then required to pay the one-time CSAS 2024 application fee for UG courses. Notably, the application fee is non-refundable.
