IPMAT 2021 was conducted on July 16, 2021. Check out the complete IPMAT exam analysis shared by an expert, in the article below

IIM Indore held its IPMAT 2021 for admissions to its five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) on July 16, 2021. However, the IPMAT 2021 exam got restructured after several delays due to the pandemic situation across the globe. There were 60 questions in all, divided into three sections: Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answers) and Verbal Ability (MCQ). The test got shortened to 90 minutes (rather than the standard 120 minutes), with a 30-minute sectional time restriction. Each reasonable effort would get four points, while each incorrect attempt would result in a one point penalty (except for the short answer section).

IPMAT 2021: Exam Pattern

Check out the overview of the IPMAT 2021 exam pattern below:

  • Two sections exam: There are two parts to this paper. Quantitative Ability (MCQ and SA questions) and Verbal Ability (MCQ and SA questions) are tested
  • Scoring Pattern: Four points are awarded for each correct answer
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Maximum Marks: 240
  • Negative Marks: For MCQs, -1 mark for each incorrect response; for Short Answer (SA) questions, there is no negative marking
  • Answering Questions in a Pre-Specified Order: Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order, which is the same for all candidates
  • Difficulty Level: Moderate to Slightly Difficult
