IPMAT colleges: The national-level test, Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is a gateway for admission to the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) offered by various institutes in the country. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore and is accepted by some of the top IIMs and management colleges in India. IPMAT is usually considered the most popular BBA entrance exam in India and is accepted by over nine management colleges apart from IIM Indore.

IPMAT 2026 is scheduled to be held on May 4, 2026. The exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. The IPMAT provisional shortlisting will likely begin in the first week of June 2026, tentatively. IPM admissions through IPMAT include the IPMAT exam and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are selected for the PI round based on their IPMAT score. Some of the top IPMAT colleges include IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar, etc. In this article, we have shared the list of top institutes accepting the IPMAT Indore score 2026. No the IPMAT cutoff for IIM INdore and IIM Rohtak are not the same. Both the IIMs conduct different IPMAT exams. IIM Indore conducts IPMAT Indore and the exam conducted by IIM Rohtak is called the IPMAT Rohtak exam. Thus, both the institues have different cutoff and selection processes. Various factors such as number of applicants, difficulty level, number of seats available for the programme and overall performance of the candidates affect different cutoffs.
IPMAT score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the IPMAT exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks. For an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for five correct answers, 20 marks will be added to the total score. The raw score of candidates is scaled to calculate the composite score. Given below are the steps on how the composite score for IPMAT 2023 exam will be calculated:

The maximum and minimum scores are the highest and the lowest scores obtained in respective sections by the candidates from the eligible pool. The total score of the candidates in the exam will be the sum of the scores obtained in all three sections.

IPMAT 2026 Selection Criteria
Admissions to IIM Indore's Five-Year Integrated Management Programme (IPM) are based on the scores obtained by the students in the IIM Indore IPM exam and Personal Interview. The exam authorities release a list of eligible candidates after the IPMAT Indore exam who can appear for the Personal Interview. The final selection of candidates will be conducted based on the Composite Scores (CS) computed on the basis of the following.

The other IIMs such as IIM Rohtak, IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Jammu, also offer IPM courses. IIM Rohtak conducts the IPMAT Rohtak exam. While IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya accept JIPMAT scores for admission to the IPM programmes offered by them. IIT Mandi also offers the IPM programme but accepts JEE Main scores for admissions.
IPMAT 2025 Cut Off- College Wise

The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the IPMAT exam is a score of at least 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent for the General and NC-OBC categories. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories.
Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026.
Many factors influence the IPMAT cutoff scores, which determine the minimum passing marks for the students who appeared for the IPMAT Indore exam. These factors include:
- Total number of examinees
- Total number of seats available
- Reservation criteria
- Marking scheme
- The difficulty level of the IPMAT question paper
- Previous year's cutoff marks
- Average and the lowest marks obtained by the examinees in the exam
- Examinee's performance in the exam
No, meeting the IPMAT cutoff alone does not guarantee the admission to the IPM programme. Students can qualify for the next stage of the selection process if they match the cutoff and then perform well in Personal Interview and academic performance. Candidates who do well in the personal interview as well as the IPMAT exam may have their name in the merit list released by IIM Indore.
