DU JAT Application Form 2022, Registration: Know How to Apply

Candidates need to fulfil the DU JAT eligibility conditions as mentioned below

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass class 12th with an aggregate of 60 percent in the best four subjects.
• Compulsory Subjects: Candidates must use Mathematics and English as two compulsory subjects for the best four calculations.

Candidates need to keep certain documents handy in order to complete the DU JAT registration hassle-free. In addition, candidates must abide by the key technical requirements before they fill the application form of DU JAT 2022.

1. Web Browser: Recommended browsers include Internet Explorer 9+, Opera 25+, Firefox 35+, OSX Safari 7+ and Google Chrome 47+
2. Scanned documents: Candidates must keep the scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature, government-approved ID proof, class 10th and 12th mark sheets in the system they will use to fill the DU JAT application form. The scanned copies must be kept in the predefined dimension, size and format beforehand.
3. Bank details: Candidates need to enter the bank details while filling the form and to pay the application fee.

Steps to Fill DU JAT 2022 Application Form

Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below to fill and submit the DU JAT application form.

Step 1: DU JAT Registration 2022

If you are proceeding to register for DU JAT 2022 for the first time, follow the below-mentioned steps

1. Visit the official website of the UG admission portal of Delhi University, i.e. https://ugadmission.uod.ac.in (Link Activated)
2. Click on the link stating ‘New Registration’
3. Set the login details, including your email ID and password along with a 10-digit mobile number
4. Fill in the basic details, including name, date of birth, category, gender, nationality, and parent’s details.
5. Click the checkbox to certify that all the information provided is true
6. Click on the 'Register’ button
7. On redirection enter the OTP received over registered email or registered mobile number and hit on ‘Submit’ button

Step 2: DU JAT Login

Candidates who have completed the DU JAT registration can proceed with the below-mentioned steps.

1. Visit the Delhi Universities UG admission portal
2. Enter the registered email ID with the password created during the DU JAT registration process
3. Click on the ‘Login’ button to enter the dashboard

Step 3: Fill Personal Details

Candidates need to fill in the personal details right after the login. The details include

1. Category
2. Name
3. Gender
4. Reservation Information (If applicable)
5. Parent's Details
6. Bank details

Candidates are asked for the bank details while filling the DU JAT application form. In an instance of duplicate transactions or cancellation of admission, Delhi University will initiate a refund. The refund of the course fee shall be provided after the deduction of the processing fee. If the candidates do not have a bank account they can also provide their parent’s bank details to get the refund initiated in case of dual payment. 

Followed by entering the bank details, candidates need to click on the ‘Upload’ button to verify details entered and proceed further with the DU JAT application by clicking ‘Submit My Profile’.

Click on the 'Submit' button to preview all the details added during this step. Click on the 'Next' button if you are satisfied with all the details.

Step 4: Enter Academic Details

Candidates will have to enter the following details in this section

1. Name of class 12th board exam
2. Enter theory and practical marks in all subjects
3. Select the languages you have studied

Click on the 'Submit' button to preview the details entered. If satisfied, click on the 'Next' button to proceed further.

Step 5: Choose Courses (Merit-Based Admission/ Entrance-Based Admission)

1. For admission based on DU JAT scores, candidates must choose entrance based on the drop-down menu in this step.
2. Further, select the courses for admission at Delhi University. Select BBA/BBE/BMS to participate in the DU JAT examination process
3. Select the college course in order of preference. Select 'Do not wish to apply' against the college-course combination if you are not considering a particular college for admission
4. Choose four cities in order of preference for DU JAT exam centres.

Click on the 'Submit' button to preview the details entered. If satisfied, click on the 'Next' button to proceed further.

Step 6: ECA/Sports Quota Details

Sports Quota and ECA reservation are not applicable in the case of entrance based admissions based on DU JAT. Candidates can directly click 'Next' button during these two steps.

Step 7: Upload Documents in DU JAT Application Form

This step shall require candidates to upload the following documents in the predefined format

1. Passport size photograph
2. Signature
3. Class 10th mark sheet
4. Class 12th mark sheet

Candidates must click on the button reading 'Select File' to upload the scanned document. After uploading all the documents, candidates need to click on the 'Next' button

Step 8: Pay DU JAT Application Fee

Candidates need to click on the button reading ‘Pay Application Fee’ after filling in the details in the DU JAT application form. DU JAT application fee can be paid in an online mode only via any of the following means

• Net Banking
• Debit Card
• Credit Card
• UPI

How to Scan Documents for DU JAT Online Application Form?

Candidates now know the document specifications to be followed while uploading the scanned documents. Delhi University is hosting the DU JAT application process online due to COVID-19. There can be cases when you don't have a scanner at home. In such a case candidates can scan their documents to uploaded using a smartphone from home. Several tools/apps including google drive aid document scanning with the help of a smartphone camera. One can follow the steps to get a scanned document for DU JAT application process at home.

1st Step: Open the google drive app

2nd Step: Click on the add symbol available in the bottom right corner

3rd Step: Click on the 'Scan' option to open the camera app and capture a photo of the document

4th Step: Tap 'done' after you are finished with capturing the photo of the document

5th Step: The document will be saved in google drive in a PDF format

One can change the document format using any pdf to jpg converting tool available online. In case the size of the image is greater than the desired file size, the image can be compressed. An image compression tool available online can aid the purpose without hampering the image quality.

While filling the DU JAT application form, candidates need to choose four test cities in order of preference to appear for the exam. The National Testing Agency conducts the DU JAT exam in centres situated across the major cities of the country. NTA will try to allot the DU JAT exam centre based on the preferences marked by the applicant while filling the form. However, the exam centres are allotted based on several factors including the number of applicants with the same centre preference. The DU JAT admit card will mention the test centre allotted to the applicant.
