Commonly asked questions

Q:   How can I calculate my percentile based on my JIPMAT exam results?

A:
To calculate your percentile based on your JIPMAT exam results, follow these steps: Obtain your JIPMAT score: This is the raw score you received on the exam. Get the total number of candidates: Find out how many candidates appeared for the JIPMAT exam. Determine your rank: Based on your JIPMAT score, determine your rank among all the candidates who took the exam. Calculate your percentile: Use the formula: (Number of candidates with a rank lower than yours / Total number of candidates) x 100. For example, if you obtained a rank of 200 out of 10,000 candidates, your percentile would be (200/10,000) x 100 = 2%. Remember that the percentile represents the percentage of candidates who scored lower than you in the exam.

Q:   Can I complete JIPMAT syllabus in one month?

A:
The duration required to complete the JIPMAT (Joint Integrated programme in Management Admission Test) exam syllabus depends on various factors such as your current level of preparation, familiarity with the exam pattern and syllabus, and the amount of time you can devote to studying each day. However, it may be challenging to complete the entire syllabus in just one month, especially if you are starting from scratch. It is possible if one is willing to put in dedicated efforts and have a systematic approach to your preparation. To complete the syllabus in one month, candidates need to create a study plan and schedule that covers all the topics in the JIPMAT syllabus and ensures enough time is spared for revision and practice. One should also follow a structured study plan by dividing the JIPMAT syllabus into smaller topics, followed by prioritising them based on the strengths and weaknesses. Candidates should start with the topics they find easy and gradually move towards more difficult topics. Additionally, focusing on understanding the concepts rather than just memorising them is the primary rule to ace any competitive exam. While preparing with the time crunch, one must refer to the previous year's question papers and practise mock tests to get a better idea about the exam pattern and the type of questions asked in the exam. It also helps assess the individual preparation level and identify the weak areas and work on them. Completing the syllabus in one month is a challenging task, it is not impossible. One needs to put in dedicated efforts and a well-planned study timetable. However, it is recommended to start preparing as early as possible to avoid the last-minute rush and stress.

Q:   Which is the toughest section in the JIPMAT exam?

A:
The difficulty level of the three sections in the JIPMAT exam varies from year to year, and it depends on the individuals preparation. However, based on the previous years question papers and test taker feedback, the DILR section is considered the toughest among the three sections. DILR section can be challenging because it requires strong analytical and logical reasoning skills to interpret and analyse data and make logical decisions. The questions in this section can be complex and time-consuming, and it requires candidates to have a good understanding of the underlying concepts and the ability to apply them in real-life scenarios. Moreover, each section carries an equal weightage in the JIPMAT exam, and a good overall score requires a balanced performance across all three sections. Therefore, candidates should allocate equal time and effort to each section during the preparation phase and practice a lot of questions from each topic to gain confidence and improve their problem-solving skills.
