Q:   Is the MAH BBA CET exam difficult?

A:

MAH BBA CET exam was conducted for the first time in 2024. According to the students who appeared for the MAH BBA CET exam on May 29, 2024, the exam was easy and doable. The questions were mostly based on the Class 12 syllabus. The English language section can be a bit difficult because of lengthy comprehension passages. The General Knowledge section was the easiest. Rest of the sections were of the easy to moderate difficulty level but were easily doable.

Q:   Can I appear for the MAH BBA CET exam more than once?

A:

MAH BBA CET exam will be conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses once a year. In 2024, the exam was conducted for the first time in three shifts. However, after various requests from the students, the authorities decided to conduct an additional MAH BBA CET exam. The exam date for the additional exam was August 4, 2024.

Q:   Will the MAH BBA CET exam be conducted in multiple shifts?

A:

MAH BBA CET 2025 will be conducted for admission to various UG programmes from April 1, 2025, to April 3, 2025. The exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. In 2024, MAH BBA CET exam was conducted for the first time in three shifts. Therefore, this year too, the exam is expected to be conducted in multiple-shifts. Candidates will be allotted the shift time which will be mentioned on their MAH BBA CET admit card.

Q:   What is the syllabus for MAH BBA CET exam?

A:

The MAH BBA CET question paper is based on the MAH BBA CET syllabus. It includes important topics such as English, Reasoning, Geneal Knowledge and Computer Basics. These topics are aligned to the key skills required for the BBA/BMS/BBS/BBCA programmes. Some of the important sub-topics in section include:

English: Reading comprehension, Grammar, Sentence Completion, Synonyms and Antonyms, Expressions, etc.

Reasoning: Linerar and Circular Equations, Series, Arrangements, Blood Relations, Coding & Decoding, Venn Diagrams, Probabiltiy, etc.

General Knowledge and Awareness: Culture, Sports, Commerce, Trade, Current National and International Affairs, Discoveries, etc.

Computer-basics: Central Processing Unit (CPU), Input and Output devices, Basics of Internet, Back-up devices, etc.

Q:   What is the marking scheme in the MAH BMS BBA CET exam?

A:

The marking scheme of MAH BBA CET is very simple. The total marks is 100 for 100 questions. Which means, every question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. In case of incorrect attempt, candidates will be marked zero. If they skip a question, even then they will be marked zero. Total marks of a candidate will be calculated out 100 based on their total number of correct attempt.

Section wise the marks allotment is as follows:

  • English: 40 marks
  • Reasoning: 30 marks
  • General Knowledge: 15 marks
  • Computer-Basics: 15 marks

The percentile is calculated on the basis of top scoring candidate’s marks against all other candidates.

A:

No, there is no sectional time limit in the MAH BBA CET exam. The total duration of the MAH BBA CET exam is 90 minutes and the students have to solve the question paper within the stipulated time. Students can switch between sections and questions as per their convenience. This time there are no sectional cutoffs also as the exam was conducted for the first time.

Q:   Will there be any subjective-type questions in the MAH BBA CET exam?

A:

No, there are no subjective-type or long form answer questions in the MAH BBA CET exam. The MAH BBA CET question paper only has 100 multiple-choice questions that are to be solved in 90 minutes. Candidates must attempt all the sections. Candidates must note that each question in the MAH BBA CET question paper will have four options. They will be required to choose the correct answer and select the radio button against the answer. If the candidate marks two options for a particular answer, then that answer will be considered incorrect. Each question in the MAH BBA CET carries one mark. No marks are awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

Maharashtra BBA Common Entrance Test (MAH BBA CET) is conducted by the State Cell for admission into various management colleges across Maharashtra. MAH BBA CET is conducted online for a duration of 90 minutes. English, General Knowledge, Reasoning and Computer Basics are the sections which are tested in the examination.

1 mark is awarded for correct answers and no marks are deducted for the wrong answer which means there is no negative marking. Question paper can only be answered in English.

  1. English- This is a test to see how well you know the English language. In this test, there will be passages with questions based on their contents to test your comprehension. 
  2. Reasoning- This test measures how quickly and accurately you can think. This test may have questions based on figures and diagrams and also questions on verbal reasoning. 
  3. General Knowledge- As the name suggests, this tests the candidate's general knowledge about the world and happenings in and around the world. 
  4. Computer-Basics- This test measures the basic knowledge of the computer and its applications.

MAH BBA CET Syllabus 2025

It is important to know the MAH BBA CET syllabus for effective preparation. The MAH BBA CET syllabus is divided into four sections, i.e. Reasoning (Verbal and Arithmetic), English, General Knowledge and Awareness and Computer Basics. 

English section is based on the language which includes important topics such as Grammar, Reading Comprehension, Synonyms and Antonyms, Idioms, Phrases, etc.

The Reasoning section tests the candidates' ability to quickly and logically think about a situation. The section covers logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage. It assesses the problem-solving capacity of the candidates. 

General Knowledge and Awareness section includes topics such as Current Affairs, National and International Affairs, Trade and Commerce, Culture, Scientific Inventions and Discoveries, Sports, History, etc. 

Computer Basics section, as the name suggests, assesses the knowledge of the candidates of computers. The section includes topics such as CPU, Input and Output Devices, Computer Memory, Backup Devices, Memory Organization, System Software and Application Software, Basics of the Internet, etc.

The MAH BBA CET exam is held for only 90 minutes. MAH BBA CET exam is conducted in three slots in a day. MAH BBA CET exam does not have any sectional time limit as well. However, the candidates need to solve the question paper in 90 minutes and this means that the candidates will have approximately one minute to solve each question. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 90 minutes will get over, the screen will automatically end the test. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the MAH BBA CET exam centre at least an hour before the exam time.

Yes, students from any part of the country can apply for the MAH BBA CET Exam. The students who appeared for the CUET exam are also eligible to take part in the MAH BBA CET counselling. However, the students from the Maharashtra domicile will be given a concession in the admission/application fee.
