Several CBSE examinations are pending and the board has not released any update regarding the fresh dates yet.
The nationwide lockdown to control the outbreak of the contagious novel coronavirus severely affected the students of class 10 and 12. The lockdown resulted in the postponement of examinations, suspension of evaluation process and delay in results. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations are one of those board examinations that got deferred during the COVID-19 outbreak chaos. Before the pandemic spread in India, board examinations got postponed in the Northeast Delhi region due to the violent riots that broke out in the month of March 2020.
Several CBSE examinations are pending and the board has not released any update regarding the fresh dates yet. According to a CBSE official, that board is not yet prepared with any decision regarding the fresh schedule for the postponed examinations. However, the Board plans to release new dates soon to give some relief to the students and the teachers.
Not just the exams but the COVID-19 lockdown affected the evaluation process of the CBSE examination booklets as well. There are multiple examinations left for both, class 10 and 12 students. For CBSE class 10, a total of six papers are left and for CBSE class 12, a total of 12 subject exams are left. The ongoing scenario suggests that there will a subsequent delay in CBSE class 10 results 2020 and CBSE class 12 results 2020.
Earlier this month, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' stated that the CBSE board exam 2020 schedule along with other details will be announced after April 14, after reviewing the coronavirus situation in the country. However, due to the deteriorating conditions, the government further extended the lockdown until May 3. Now, CBSE has to reevaluate the situation to come up with a decision regarding pending exams.
Meanwhile, for students’ physical development and to keep them engaged, CBSE launched free live fitness classes for all school students. Students can access these live sessions on CBSE social media accounts such as Facebook and Instagram. The session will take place every morning at 9:30 am, April 15 onwards.
For all the latest updates, students are advised to follow the verified social media accounts of CBSE and keep a track of its official website.
