The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the fresh date of examinations and evaluation plan for class 10 and class 12 board examination 2020 soon. Earlier, due to nationwide lockdown, CBSE had postponed examinations for class 10 and class 12.
Last week, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' had said that a plan is ready for conducting the pending CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2020. Moreover, the strategy of evaluation of CBSE board answer scripts will also be announced soon as the situation improves and the lockdown is lifted.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the Chief Minister of almost 13 states and the key agenda of the meeting was to extend the lockdown imposed nationwide to contain the spread of the coronavirus. However, no official announcement has been made so far regarding the extension, as per the sources, it is expected to be extended with some additional relaxations. There will be no schools during the lockdown as asserted by the authorities.
However, it is informed that any decision by the Board in this regard will be taken after doing extensive consultation with higher education authorities and by keeping all aspects related to entrance exams, admissions dates, etc. in mind. The Board will give notice of about 10 days to all stakeholders before starting the board examinations.
