CBSE will be conducting pending class 10 and class 12 exams in the 12,000 examination centers, Ministry of Human Resource announced. Earlier, the Ministry had announced that the Board will conduct an exam only in 3,000 examination centers.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has identified 12,000 more schools to conduct the pending Class 10 and Class 12 exams.
Earlier, the CBSE had said that it will be conducting the pending CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th Board exams at 3,000 examination centers. With this announcement, the CBSE will be conducting the examination in the 15,000 examination centers.
Earlier, the minister had announced that CBSE will allow students to take exams at the schools in which they are enrolled rather than external test centers. The standard practice of allotting external centers was done to minimize biases and allow external invigilators to evaluate exam papers.

The decision was taken keeping in mind the ongoing nationwide coronavirus lockdown and to avoid students from traveling to more distance to reach the exam centers.
The Minister of Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, through his social media account, said: “CBSE has given students the opportunity to take the exam in their own schools. Earlier, only 3,000 examination centers were identified, but now there will be an examination in about 15,000 examination centers.”
The Board has recently announced the revised CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020. The exams are scheduled to be held from July 1 to July 15, 2020.
The Board is expected to announce CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 by July-end
The exams will be held only in 29 major subjects including six exams for Class 10 students in northeast Delhi district and 12 exams for Class 12 students. Class 10 exams are only being held for students of northeast Delhi where a series of violent clashes in February had caused CBSE to postpone exams in that area.
