Many students who are supposed to appear for the CBSE Hindi exam in the school travelled back to their home towns when the government imposed the COVID-19 lockdown. Now, these students wish their exam centres to be allotted near their hometown itself as no one wants to travel back in the state of a pandemic. There are more than 23,000 COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra out of which 2,700 positive coronavirus cases are in Pune. Students and their parents are afraid of travelling back to the city that is severely infected by the novel coronavirus.

The reports suggest that the students travelled back to their homes due to the spread of coronavirus in the state. After the students reached now travelling back is difficult for them amid the chaos.

According to the sources, a senior official informed media that authorities are collating the data of the students and working to set up centres near their hometowns to make the situation manageable. Students have to travel to JNV Pune to appear for CBSE Hindi exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education recently declared it will conducting the pending exams of CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th between July 1 and July 15. However, the revised CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020 are yet to be released.

Meanwhile, the CBSE started the evaluation process from May 12. It is expected that the existing answer sheet evaluation work would be completed by the end of May or the latest by early June. The authorities would take another few weeks to complete the evaluation work for the pending exams and release CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 by July-end or August first week.
