CBSE has today announced the date sheet for Class 10 and 12 board examinations. However, keeping in view the current medical emergency it has released guidelines to be followed by students while they appear for the exam.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the date sheet today for the remaining Class 10, 12 examinations which were postponed earlier due to coronavirus outbreak in the country. Along with the fresh date sheets the Board has also announced health guidelines for the students.
CBSE will be conducting CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th examinations only for 29 main subjects. The Education Minister had earlier announced that CBSE 10th examinations will be conducted only for North-East Delhi students.

To ensure safety of the students while appearing for the exams, CBSE has released important guidelines, that are:
- All students will have to carry their own sanitizers in a transparent bottle.
- All candidates have to cover their nose, mouth with a cloth or mask.
- All candidates will follow Physical distance norms
- Parents will guide their wards(s) about precautions they need to take to avoid the spread of coronavirus
- Parents will ensure their wards are not sick
- All instructions issued while appearing in Examination Centres will be strictly adhered by the students
On May 16, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had said that he will be releasing the CBSE Class 10 Datesheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Datesheet 2020 on May 18, 2020.
The CBSE’s remaining examinations, which were earlier postponed as a preventive step to contain the spread of coronavirus cases in the country, will now be conducted from July 1 to 15.
As per the CBSE date sheet for Class 10 students, the exams will be conducted on four dates, starting July 1.
For Class 12, the Home Science exam will be held on July 1, followed by both courses of Hindi the next day. The Business Studies exam has been scheduled for July 9, followed by Biotechnology on July 10, and Geography on July 11.
As stated earlier by the Board, it will not conduct any examinations for students who are studying in CBSE affiliated schools abroad.
The Board had earlier made a decision to conduct ‘only the important examinations’ which are needed for higher education keeping in view of the coronavirus situation in the country.
