CBSE directs principals of schools to not assign any additional duty to teachers who are already working on the evaluation process of Class 10th and 12th answer sheet.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed principals of schools to not give any additional duty to teachers who are already involved in the evaluation process of the Board exam answer sheets.

Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination, CBSE, had written a letter to school principals after the Board received complaints that a number of schools are burdening teachers with online classes, online parents-teachers meeting, training programmes and other works.

The letter also stated that non-compliance of the order will be viewed seriously.

CBSE on March 18, as a precautionary measure and in compliance with the instructions received from Secretary, Department Of Higher Education/ School Education and Literacy, Government of India, suspended evaluation work of the answer sheets of CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th board exams to avoid further spread of coronavirus.

On May 9, the Board was granted permission by the Ministry of Home Affairs granted permission to resume the evaluation work from May 12, 2020. In the order, the Ministry allowed operation of 3,000 CBSE affiliated schools, selected as Evaluation Centres, for the limited purpose of work associated with the evaluation of answer sheets and transportation of answer sheets to the residences of evaluators except in the area falling in the containment zone.

The Ministry also directed CBSE to ensure National Directives for COVID-19 Management are observed.

CBSE has recently released the revised CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2020 and CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet 2020 and is expected to announce CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020 by July-end or August first week.
