Students are trying to reach out to HRD Minister and CBSE demanding cancellation of the compartment exam. Read further to know CBSE's reply to the same.
Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE released the Class 10, 12 results 2020 in the month of July. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus delayed the release of the board results. Still, the Central Board managed to declare CBSE 12th Results 2020 and CBSE 10th Results 2020 on July 13 and July 15. All the students who failed in one or two subjects in the CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th examination were placed in the compartment examination. Usually conducted in the month of July, the CBSE Compartment Exam 2020 dates for classes 10 and 12 are yet to be announced. With the rising COVID-19 cases, many students even reached out to the board, requesting it to cancel the CBSE compartment exams.
According to the official release, 87, 651 students of Class 12 and 1, 50, 198 students of Class 10 are placed in the compartment category for the year 2020. All these candidates would have to appear for the compartment or essential reappear examination, whenever it is conducted by the board. Students, however, are wary of the examination in the present situation.
Using Twitter, Many students are trying to reach out to CBSE as well as HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, requesting them to #cancelcompartment. Stating that it is not safe to conduct exams amid the rising COVID-19 cases students are demanding cancellation and grace marks. Demanding the same, a student tweeted to CBSE stating, โItโs been a long time we are waiting for an announcement over #cancelcompartmentexams2020 please give us updates we don't want to lose 1 year of academics also we want to prepare for our further studies i am so surprised that why is it taking so long.โ Check the tweet given below:
CBSEโs reply to Cancellation to CBSE Compartment Exam 2020
Replying to such students, a CBSE official said, โMatter is under process. Any suitable decision as per circumstances shall be taken for overall interest of all the stakeholdersโ
While a few boards like Telangana Inter board cancelled the supplementary examination, the decision of CBSE and many other state boards is still awaited. Many state boards also released application forms for the supplementary examination which would be conducted in due course of time.
