A college with strict rules and a good value for money.

Placements: My fourth year got some campus interviews but it's recession time, so placement was not active. 40 to 50 percent got selected in placements. Few MNCs also recruited. Salary was 40,000 per month. Placement was low in my batch but generally, they have good placement options and the college conducts extra coaching for aptitude and English language skills. Students got full help from the faculty members to face campus interviews.

Infrastructure: The computer lab is the main highlight of the college and every lab is updated. Mostly, infrastructure fulfils all needs. Even the hostels have a good structure but the college is very strict. So extra activities are not given much importance. Sports activity is very rare and there are no cultural activities.

Faculty: Most faculty members are very experienced. It depends on the subject. The faculty allocation happens. From the third-year, industrial visits and arrangements happen. Every year, a symposium was conducted by the concerned department for two days. For the final year project, the faculty members were arranged to help students.

Other: The negative side of the college. It's run by private temple administration, so a weekly pooja happens in the hostel and it's compulsory. We have a monthly test and modern practice. Transport facilities are easily available by bus and railway.

Average placements and infrastructure.

Placements: The placement for 2016 was quite good but those companies did not take most of the students on board. Our college asked us to pay the 1-month salary before the final year lab exams, which was quite bad. Mostly, there won't be on-campus drives so they asked us to go for off-campus drives. Only 5% of the students got in good companies while others went to BPO and marketing. No internship was allowed for our batch.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi will be available only on the lunch time but I have never seen the Wi-Fi connect to our laptops. The speed is very low so you cannot even establish a connection. Medical facilities are awesome and they will take you to the nearby hospital. Classrooms and labs are moderate. Most of the computers are old, so speed and compatibility will be very poor.

Faculty: Faculty members and the course curriculum are fantastic in the college. Every faculty member will be very helpful and provide us with all tips and tricks. They use projects too when they need and give handmade notes for all the subjects. As for me, faculty members and course curriculum are the best in our college. Students are not exposed to the industry.

Other: Communication between a boy and a girl is prohibited. If they are caught talking to each other, there will be an inquiry and it can also lead to suspension. Everyone should wear a red uniform on every Friday without fail. Compared to other colleges, the total fee will be high and it can go around 1,00,000 per year with the bus fee and all other fees.

Adhiparasakthi college of engineering (APCE) is mediocre.

Placements: Placement is not at all good. On-campus facilities are not here but they have tied up with VIT university. So if you are all clear at the 7th semester, you can go ahead and attend the interview in VIT university. The highest salary offered is 3.25 LPA. They charge you Rs.10000 per year from the 2nd year as training and placement fees which is completely useless. very few students placed in off-campus interviews conducted in VIT university. And the final part is that if you get placed in off-campus interviews, they will ask you to pay another Rs.25000.

Infrastructure: Well, the college infrastructure is not bad, and the ambience is good. It has Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities and sports. The Wi-Fi has a good speed. Laboratory systems are quite old with Pentium processors and sometimes ACs don't work. Food quality is not too bad. In the hostel, both vegetarian and non-veg are available. Projector facility is available in classrooms. The medical facility is great and here, there is a free clinic available. Hostel rooms are cosy and beds are available. There is a maximum of three people allowed per room. The transportation facility is good and has a college bus facility around 60 kms.

Faculty: The faculty members are great and helpful with more theoretical knowledge and less of practical knowledge. A few of the staff members are qualified to work, some unfit and one or two over-qualified to work there. They use the conventional blackboard method of teaching usually. Some staff members use projectors to display PPTs. Student to faculty ratio is 1 faculty per 15 students. They have a policy of sending students to industrial visits (IV) once per year, that too for middle tire companies which most people are unaware of. They will conduct one symposium per semester, one workshop per year.

The predominant rule is that you should wear a red colour dress on all fridays. But you can explore the spiritual world if you are interested.

Placements: Our college provides average placements. They provide training for placements. Top companies don't visit our college to recruit students. Some companies offer good salary packages. There is a specific percentage to get placed. Students who have good skills will easily get placed in our college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good facilities like labs, Wi-Fi, a library, classrooms, etc. They allow you to work in the lab for your work. Our college has good environment.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They guide us. They are supportive. They teach us very well. The teaching quality is good and understandable. Exams are easy. It is a good department.
