Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for B.Sc. students at AIIMS Delhi?

    A:
    {Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Placement Cell: Securing Jobs for B.Sc. Students at AIIMS Delhi

Unfortunately, it appears that AIIMS Delhi does not have a dedicated Placement Cell to secure jobs for its B.Sc. students. According to student reviews:

    * "After completing the course, you will be able to choose from a variety of options, such as joining AIIMS itself on a contract basis by giving an interview." (No mention of a placement cell)
    * "There is no placement cell or any placement facility after the completion of a course by the college." (Multiple students mentioned this)

This suggests that AIIMS Delhi does not offer formal assistance with job placements for its B.Sc. students, leaving students to find employment opportunities independently. However, some students did mention that they were able to secure jobs at AIIMS Delhi's hospital or private institutions after completing their studies.

    Nurses at AIIMS New Delhi.
Placements: For getting a job at AIIMS New Delhi, you need to qualify the NORCET exam after completing B.Sc. nursing. The monthly salary of a Nursing Officer at AIIMS New Delhi is between 80,000 and 150,000. 100% of students get an internship in this course. The course duration is 4 years, during which you will have the internship in the last year.
Infrastructure: AIIMS Delhi is one of the top medical colleges in India. The campus area is very large, accommodating many departments and hostels. In this course, you will be taught in well-equipped classrooms with projectors, speakers, AC, etc. There are labs for practical knowledge, and a library that is open 24/7. The hostels for nursing students are very spacious, accommodating around 300-400 students. The rooms are well-furnished and ventilated. The hostel has a mess which serves good quality food and is very hygienic. A lot of sports and games are also played here.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well-qualified doctors and nurses who are highly knowledgeable. They teach us in a very polite manner. The course curriculum is very relevant to the nursing course. It helps to develop professional as well as personal qualities. The semester exams are very relevant to what we are taught throughout the semester. The difficulty level is moderate, and you need to get 50% marks to pass these exams.
Other: This course is highly professional and is related to patient care, which I am interested in. So I have chosen this course. The best thing about this course is that it makes you mentally strong enough to face critical situations very patiently. It teaches us patient care. The thing that I want to improve is that there should be some syllabus and assignment education in this course. There are lots of events organized here. One of the best fests is Pulse, which is the biggest medical fest organized in AIIMS New Delhi. The surrounding area is very peaceful and happy. There are lots of extracurricular activities like games, dancing, singing, etc.

The insights of AIIMS New Delhi. Personal and professional development.
Placements: As I am studying in AIIMS here, all my seniors who have passed out from AIIMS got jobs at AIIMS New Delhi. So there is 90% chance you will get the job here or in any other Government hospital or you can opt for Private hospital too. After completing this course, either you can pursue your higher studies or go for a job. The salary of Operation Theatre Technologists is 60,000–10,000 per month in AIIMS or in any government hospital. You will get the job in AIIMS in any government hospital or in a private hospital. The course duration is 3.5 years, during which there is a mandatory 6-month internship with a stipend of 10,250 per month. Everyone has to do the internship. After getting the job, you will be posted as an Operation Theatre Technologist in Operation Theatre, ICU, Emergency or another department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of AIIMS is very vast. Every department has its own 10-story building, like surgical block, mother-and-child block, RPC eye centre, trauma centre and many more. The classrooms are equipped with modernized projector. There are labs for hematology, anatomy, physiology, etc. The library is very big. It has all medical books, new editions and publications. It has Wi-Fi and a big sitting area with air conditioned. It is 24/7 open for everyone. The hostel's facilities are very good. The hostel room for operation theatre students are double B.Ed. It has two beds, two almirahs, two study table with drawers and chairs, one shoes track, one basin, two mirrors, four mercury lights, and two fans. There are provisions for AC, too. There are 19 messes, and you can get food from any mess. The food is very good and hygienic. There are lots of sports and games organised every week.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified doctors and have done specialty work in their respective fields. They are very generous and helpful. They teach us in a very good manner. The course curriculum is very relevant. It teaches us about OT, critical situations, patient care and many more. The semester exams are at a moderate level. You have to get 50% to pass the exam. The professional exams are held annually. There are internal exams that are held every two months to assess your progress.
Other: As this course provides knowledge of patient care, OT, and ICU, it is better than a plan for graduation. It will help you develop your personal and professional development. The internship stipend should be more than 10,250 per month. There are lots of events organized in AIIMS, but the most important is Pulse Fest, which is India's greatest medical fest, in which medical students from every corner of the country come here, participate, have enjoyment and connect with each other. There are lots of seminars and events organized every week. As there are MBBS nursing and paramedical students, there is lots of connectivity with each other. They together participate, study and have fun. The campus surroundings are very vast. It has 3 gymnasiums, one swimming pool, two basketball courts, badminton courts and a large area for events. AIIMS organizes a paramedical exam every year, which you have to qualify for to get admission to this course. There are lots of extracurricular activities like sports, dance, singing, participation in fests and many more.

Review of my dream college AIIMS, Delhi.
Placements: Internships are provided to all students in the AIIMS hospital only, which is included in the 4-year degree program, while placements are provided in all AIIMS hospitals after clearing the NORCET exam with a good score. One can also apply for jobs at other Delhi government medical colleges, which also offer good pay. In AIIMS, Delhi, the starting salary of a nursing officer is around 75k.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the hostel room and library. Classrooms are well-equipped with digital screens and air conditioning. Along with that, we are also provided with swimming pool, gym, library, reading rooms, and sports areas for table tennis, badminton, basketball, volleyball, etc. Mess and canteen food quality is fine. Medical facilities, including free treatment and medicine, is provided to all students.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing and focused more on the real-life application of theory classes. Interacting with patients in the first year only gives good exposure. The course curriculum is fine but sometimes it feels irrelevant as the syllabus is very vast, which may not be useful to us as nursing officers. Exams are conducted annually with an average difficult level and a pass percentage of 40%.
Other: I chose this course as it provided me with a secure future with good pay. Also, how can I keep myself from living life at my dream college? Everything is good but I felt that mess shouldn't be compulsory for all and the stipend should be increased from Rs 500 per month. The connectivity of the college is good with metro and bus services and who can forget the biggest festival of AIIMS Delhi, i.e., PULSE. Many interesting societies are there to develop our personalities and, of course, a good patient load for a medico.

Placements: After completion of the course, our college offers contractual jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college provides hostels for students. We have a good library with Wi-Fi. All classrooms and labs are good in condition. Our college provides HS services for students in the hospital, so it is a little easy for students to deal with medical problems. Our college does not provide hostels for PB students.
Faculty: We have the best teachers. They have great knowledge. They are very helpful. We have an annual exam pattern. We have tests and model exams. Our teachers provide many tasks to us in classrooms and hospital wards, which helps us in every way.
Other: It is the top medical institute in India. It provides the best education for all students. It improves our skills. Our college celebrates sports day every year. I want to do my graduation from the best college, so I chose this college. It is a very difficult course. Our college should provide a hostel for PB students.

Review of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi.
Placements: A bachelor's degree in optometry is a four-year program, i.e., three years of academic study plus one year of mandatory internship. In AIIMS Delhi, there is no placement cell or any placement facility after the completion of a course by the college. After completing the course, you will be able to choose from a variety of options, such as joining AIIMS itself on a contract basis by giving an interview. You can join the project. You can get a permanent job, but there aren't many openings. You can either start a start-up, join a private MNC, or work in private optical shops. All students in their fourth year of study must complete a one-year internship. Internships are available at the AIIMS-Delhi hospital eye center.
Infrastructure: AIIMS Delhi is India's top medical college, with a NIRF ranking of 1 and excellent infrastructure. There is a separate department for eyes at AIIMS Delhi, the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences. All classes for our course happen in our department, DR RPC. The library is equipped with Wi-Fi. There are books and journals available with good seating facilities. The department has many labs available. We have a huge lecture theater. Both digital and PPT methods of study are available. Hostel facilities are also available, but not to all students until now. There is a mess, a canteen, a cafeteria, a juice shop, an Amul shop, etc., available for students. The medical facility is available. Sports and games are available.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They teach using PPTs, on a whiteboard, and digitally. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready with a practical than theoretical approach. Pre-finals and final exams are conducted.
Other: I chose this course because AIIMS Delhi has the best facilities and good clinical postings. Hostels are not given to all students and are not given on time. Our college events are excellent. Our college celebrates the PULSE festival. Many celebrities attend the seven-day festival. The campus crowd is very good. The connectivity is good. Scholarships are government-funded for reservation categories. There are so many extracurricular activities to perform.
