Q: What is the exam pattern of AEEE?

The questions in AEEE are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th. All the questions are of Multiple-Choice type and have four options as possible answers. Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Answers marked can be changed later, before the final submission of all the answers. 3 (Three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer. 40 questions are asked from maths 30 questions come from physics 25 questions come from chemistry 5 questions are asked from english Total 100 MCQs are asked of 300 marks.

Q: Is there any negative marking in AEEE?

Yes, 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer in the AEEE. Students will be awarded 3 marks for every correct answer. Students will be given four options for each question, and they must carefully mark the answer keeping in mind the negative marking in the AEEE question paper.

AEEE 2025: Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham has released the AEEE 2025 application form for phase 1 exams. The last date to apply for AEEE 2025 is January 20, 2025. The AEEE 2025 phase 1 exam date is February 1 and 2, 2025. The AEEE 2025 exam date and complete details for phase 1 exams have been released with the application form at aeee.amrita.edu. The exam will be held in CBT mode at a national level across various centres in India including Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Dubai, UAE. Amrita will conduct the Amrita BTech entrance exam known as the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2025 in two phases. The AEEE 2025 phase 2 exams will be held in April 2025, tentatively and the details for the second phase will be announced later on.

Candidates passing class 12 in 2025 and those who have passed in 2024 can apply for AEEE 2025. AEEE 2025 exam will have questions from Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and English. The AEEE syllabus and AEEE 2025 exam pattern have been updated on the official website. The exam will be held for 2 hours 30 minutes and there will be 100 MCQs asked (40 from Maths, 30 from Physics, 25 from Chemistry and 5 from English). Each question will carry 3 marks and each wrong attempt will lead to a penalty of 1 mark.

Via AEEE scores, candidates will be given admission in BTech courses offered by the Amrita engineering campuses located at Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad and Nagercoil. To complete Amrita BTech admission 2025, candidates must register for AEEE, book exam slots, download the admit card, appear for the exam, check their ranks and register for the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). Via CSAP, AEEE qualified candidates can then participate in programme selection and seat allotment leading to admission to the desired course and campus of Amrita University. Admission to BTech Programmes offered at Amrita School of Engineering is based on the rank scored in JEE Main and AEEE. 70% of the seats are allotted via AEEE scores and the rest of the 30% are filled based on JEE Main ranks. What is AEEE?

The Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is a computer-based test for 10+2 graduates seeking admission to BTech courses at various campuses of Amrita University: Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Faridabad and Nagercoil (new from 2024). Following the AEEE, successful candidates undergo the Amrita BTech Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) for counselling. CSAP enables AEEE-qualified applicants to select programs and campuses and receive seat allocations for admission.

Candidates can apply for AEEE 2025 online on the official website, amrita.edu. The application form must be submitted as per the deadline for each phase. The candidates are advised to have their own personal and valid email ID and mobile number. Candidates are advised to retain the registered mobile number and email they have submitted in the application form till all the admission procedures are completed as all important updates will be informed to the candidates through SMS/e-mail or both.

AEEE 2025 application fee is given below:

AEEE Only: INR 1200
AEEE + JEE Mains: INR 1200
JEE Mains alone: INR 500

Academic Profile, documents upload and JEE Mains scores may be entered after the publication of the results. It is not mandatory to fill the same at the time of filling out the application.
Candidates who have appeared in Phase I of the AEEE 2025 examination can also appear for Phase II examination by paying an additional fee of INR 600. This is an opportunity given to the candidates to improve their scores.

AEEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates planning to apply for AEEE 2025 must check the eligibility criteria below:

Educational Qualification:

A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Candidates passing class 12 boards in 2025 and those who have passed in 2024 can also apply.
Minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Not less than 55% in each of these three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Age:

Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2004 upto 30th June 2009 can apply for AEEE 2025.

AEEE 2025 Syllabus

Amrita University releases the AEEE syllabus for all subjects of the exam. AEEE 2025 exam syllabus includes 10+2 level topics in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Through the syllabus of AEEE, candidates can get an idea of the topics, subtopics, chapters, and units to be covered while preparing for the AEEE exam. The questions in AEEE are based on the syllabus in Class 11 and 12. All the questions are of Multiple Choice Types and have four answers of equal weightage.

AEEE 2025 Mock Test

AEEE sample / mock test is made available on the official website for practice purposes and to give the candidate an awareness of the Computer Based Test (CBT). AEEE mock tests are released for test-takers before the final exam is held to make candidates aware of the computer-based test. AEEE 2025 Admission Process

Below is the selection process for admission through Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam:

Step 1: Register for AEEE 2025: To begin with, aspirants need to register for AEEE exam if they are eligible.

Step 2: AEEE 2025 Slot booking: Applicants must do the slot booking to appear in the entrance exam. Admit cards can be downloaded after booking the slot.

Step 3: Download AEEE 2025 Admit Card: AEEE admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. To download the same, aspirants will need their application number and date of birth.

Step 4: Appear for AEEE entrance exam 2025: AEEE is conducted in online mode. Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam.
Step 5: Check AEEE 2025 exam result: AEEE result will be declared on the official website on a new date. The result will be a candidate's merit position, scorecard with total marks, and marks obtained in each subject.
Step 6: Appear for AEEE 2025 Counselling: Aspirants who clear the exam need to appear for AEEE counselling through online CSAP registration.

AEEE 2025 Slot Booking

Candidates registered for AEEE have to select the “slot and time slot” of their choice, subject to availability, by visiting the University website before the last date. This process is called “SLOT BOOKING.” Test Centre, Number of days and Number of operating slots in a day are finalised based on the number of candidates for a particular city. The allotment of dates/slots is on a first come first serve basis. If a candidate does not exercise their option, they are assigned a date/ slot based on their availability. To Book Exam Date and Slot, registered candidates need to click the AEEE slot booking link provided on the University webpage as per the schedule.

How to book slots: Candidates have to log in on the official website. After logging in, the candidates can select the test date and test slots based on availability. To choose the date, click on the available date and click the continue button. In the next screen, candidates will be prompted to select a test slot based on its availability status. Click the “Confirm Slot” button to confirm the booking. A slot once booked cannot be changed under any circumstances. Requests for change of test centres also will not be entertained. The address of the examination centre for a candidate will be mentioned in the admit card, which can be downloaded after booking the slots.

AEEE 2025 Admit Card

AEEE 2025 admit card is issued provisionally to the candidate to attend the entrance examination. Admit cards to write the examination are generated only for those eligible candidates who have submitted their application forms complete in all respects.

To download the AEEE 2025 admit card, candidates have to use their registered Email ID / Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates must keep in mind that the admit card is not sent by post. One has to visit the official website, amrita.edu/admissions to access the link to download the admit card.

On the AEEE admit card, candidates can check details like the Name and Registration Number of the candidate, Date of Exam, Address of the Exam Centre allotted etc. After downloading the admit card, candidates have to ensure that the data is printed as per the application form submitted by them. In case of any discrepancy, candidates must get it resolved by opening a ticket in the online query management system for a faster resolution. The Admit card is an important document and must be kept safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

AEEE 2025 CBT Guidelines

Candidates can check various exam day guidelines for AEEE exam below:

The examination rooms/halls for CBT are opened one hour before the commencement of the test on the respective dates.
The candidates should take their seats in the examination hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
If the candidates do not report on time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions to be announced in the examination hall.
A seat indicating the roll number is allocated to each candidate. Candidates should find out and occupy only their allotted seats. Any candidate found to have changed room or seat on their own other than allotted, their candidature shall be cancelled, and no plea will be accepted for it.
The candidate must show, on demand, the AEEE 2025 admit card for admission in the examination room/hall.
The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the AEEE 2025 admit card. During the examination time, the invigilator checks the admit card to confirm the identity of each candidate.

AEEE 2025 Result

AEEE 2025 result is released for all the candidates who have appeared in Amrita Entrance Examinations. Candidates can access their results by entering their login details in the Amrita online admission portal. To log in and check AEEE ranks, candidates have to use their AEEE registration number and their Date of Birth. 70% of the total seats will be offered through AEEE 2025 and 30% of the total seats will be offered through JEE Main 2025 All India Rank.

The result of AEEE is released separately for all phases. Candidates who appear for more than one phase must note that their best score out of all the phases is considered for admission.

AEEE 2025 Counselling: CSAP

Candidates with AEEE 2025 rank or JEE Mains 2025 Percentile Score or Rank have to register for CSAP 2025. CSAP is held for all AEEE qualified candidates, to secure admission to the BTech programme offered at 5 campuses (Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Nagercoil) of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.  Seat allotment is fully online and there is no need for the candidates to visit the campus to attend the counselling. All the candidates with AEEE 2025 rank or JEE Mains 2025 Percentile Score /Rank shall be intimated by Email, SMS, and WhatsApp about the CSAP.

Note that, class 12 marks are not considered for the allotment, and it is required only after the confirmation of admission.
