B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024
Offered by Amritsar Group of Colleges
3.4

It has a small campus with many opportunities.
Placements: Almost 60% of students from every batch got placed in good multinational companies. Many companies like Byjus, Nagarro, Mirinda, and Just Dial visit the college every year for placements with good salary packages. Every student has to do an internship after the 7th semester.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in the college and department are very good. There is proper availability of every machine or tool in our department. The college hostel provides almost average facilities. The condition of the food served is not good.
Faculty: Teachers have a very good knowledge regarding the subjects used in our course by the college. Their teaching quality is the best in my point of view. The course curriculum is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students ready to get a job in good companies.
Other: I took admission in 2020. The degree consists of 8 semesters, so I will complete my BTech in 2024. I have chosen this course because I belong to a family which has its own business of mechanical. I would like to improve my personality skills and English speaking skills. The campus crowd is average as the students are from Jammu, Bihar, Punjab, Nepal, and many other states as well as countries.

It has UGC autonomous NBA accreditation, and NAAC A grade.
Placements: This college gives good placements opportunities to students. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3.36 LPA. The average salary pacakge offered is 5 LPA. Students get internships after 4 semesters, and after the 7th semester to complete the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good, but the hostel accommodation is very less although the college has two separate hostels for boys outside of the college. The quality of food in the mess is not good. Medical facilities are average in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and have very good knowledge. They make the students ready for industry job internships and placements. The exams are moderate, and they are medium as per our understanding.
Other: I have an interest in working as a mechanical because mechanical engineers are those who can do every work that the other engineering students do. The course is good and mostly based on practicals that is the main thing from our side.

I'm satisfied with the college. It is worth the money.
Placements: Placements in our college are good for core and non-core departments. Departments of computer science and electronics have comparatively better placements than mechanical and civil departments. The college has a separate placement department which invites different companies and also helps students to clear the interviews. Often, mock campus placement event is organised by the placement department to boost up the confidence of students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and well maintained. There are high-tech and well-equipped labs with tools and machines. All the machines are in working condition and are cleaned daily. Moreover, machines are replaced frequently. The college also provides robotics labs.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very cooperative and helpful. They are very experienced. PPTs and videos are highly used for teaching. There are 3 internal exams and 1 external exam. The exam unit is little exertive, but overall, it provides good preparation for finals.

A good choice for academic future.
Placements: The college provides placements opportunities for all the students, but it's up to the students and how they prepare and avail it. Every year, many reputed companies like HP, TCS, Wipro, Autodesk, and Khanna paper mill, etc., visit our campus for placements. Many companies visit the college, but if the students are not capable enough, they cannot be placed. So, it depends on their preparation and plan.
Infrastructure: The campus is air-conditioned and Wi-Fi enabled. The environment at the college is soothing, and the campus is cleaned at an interval of one hour to maintain a hygienic environment. The college has facilities like parks, cafe, canteen, playgrounds, auditorium, a seminar hall and classes with a digital touch. E-classrooms for visuals of study materials are also available.
Faculty: The faculty members are quite supportive of academics, and they are more focused on the practical aspects. They know how to make concepts understandable to the students and about the syllabus. Our college focuses mainly on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. The faculty members think that if we work hard, we can learn much more.

This is one of the good private colleges.
Placements: The placements in the college are good for CSE branch students. Placements are average for mechanical engineering students. Companies like Sonalika Tractors, Mahindra and Mahindra, TCS, etc., visit the college for placements. After completing the course in mechanical, there are a lot of options.
Infrastructure: As this is a private college, the infrastructure is good and well-maintained. Approximately, all the classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. During the summer, it is good for the students to study well in the classroom. Greenery is surrounded by the college, and it is well-maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified. They are giving their best according to the capability. It is an autonomous college affiliated to a government university under Punjab Technical University. The syllabus is according to the college. Six Sigma is introduced in the mechanical department.
Other: Every year, we celebrate the technical festival named Prayaas, and it is a major event in our college. From various colleges and schools, students visit our college to participate in the events.
