Review of Guru Nanak Dev University.
Placements: According to the college, 80–90% of the students are placed every year but this might not be true. In reality, only a few students (most probably around 50%) are placed. The average package is 6 lacs. The lowest package is 3 lacs. The highest is 14 lacs (last year). Most of the students get internships during their third year.
Infrastructure: Our department is actually okay. We have really big classrooms and a really huge library on campus. But the hostels are just average and not very hygienic. Mess food is just not really good but there are canteens that offer good food. Sports facilities are available on campus, including swimming, basketball, volleyball, badminton, hockey and a lot more. The gym facility is also there.
Faculty: Some teachers are really well educated and teach well, but others are just below the mark. They don't even finish the syllabus. But it's a university and you need to study on your own. Exams are taken regularly and checking depends on the teacher. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: The computer science engineering course offers better placements than other courses and this was the main reason I chose it. I think the hostel and mess should be improved. Scholarships are there but only for SC/ST students and not for the general category.

About Guru Nanak Dev University.
Placements: There are many companies that come into GNDU that offer a quite decent package. Many students also got placed this year at Nagarro and other companies too. The average package at this university is about 7-8 lacs. It offers placements when you are given prospectus .
Infrastructure: I am a local student but my friends living in hostels tell us that they do not have AC in their hostel. That is the only disadvantage. While talking about the library, there are a number of books for your knowledge. The classrooms are quite airy but there is no air conditioning.
Faculty: The teachers are quite educated, the students understand everything in class that they taught, the labs are also good and the computers are off today. In this era, the exams are quite easy; if you prepared well, you can easily clear them, and the passing percentage is around 60 percent .
Other: My cousins are from here and they got placed well so I also decided to study here. I chose B.Tech. CSE because there is scope in this course .

Guru Nanak Dev University information.
Placements: About 70 percent of students got placed in my course last year. The highest package is around 44 lakh, the lowest is about 2-3 lakh, and the average package is about 6-7 lakh per annum. Amazon, TCS are top recruiting companies. We can do internships on our own, but a certificate is compulsory. 70 percent of students got placed in TCS, Amazon, Wipro, etc. as web developers, hackers, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not too good, with very old buildings. Hostels are also not too good, with very bad infrastructure. Food quality is okay. Medical facilities are provided. In sports, the University is top-ranked in India, as it has won the Abdul Kalam award.
Faculty: Teachers are good and experienced, with good teaching quality overall. As the course is in Computer Science Engineering, it's very needed in a developing country. The difficulty level is moderate, with a passing percentage of 35 percent. There are two exams in the semester - one is the mid-sem exam, which is of 20 marks, and the other is of 80 marks.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the computer science field. Practical classes should be more focused, not just theory. It is a huge university, and every department organizes their own fests. The campus has a very good crowd of around 5000 students. Many types of scholarships are available, e.g., CSSTE, sibling case.

Guru Nanak Dev university, Amritsar full detailed review.
Placements: Around 80–85% of placements were done through campus placements. As of the academic session of the batch 2023–24, the highest package was around 18.43 LPA, and the average package was around 6.40 LPA. Major recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, KPMG, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in the department are big enough and well ventilated. There are 2 computer labs present in the department with good Wi-Fi speed. A big library is present in the university, which is accessible to students from early morning to late evening. A reading hall is also available for the students, which is accessible 24 x 7. Hostel rooms are somewhat congested, but once you start living, it doesn't feel much. Mess food, to be honest, is not that good but also not that bad. It is basically okay to eat. A MBBS doctor is also available in the university hospital. Canteens are present in large quantities. Talking about sports, each and every sport has its own dedicated ground/indoor stadium that is easily accessible to everyone. There is also a gym at the university.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Most of the teachers have doctorates in their respective fields. They are very interactive and encourage students to engage and speak in the class and clear their doubts. In our starting years, there are some subjects like Punjab and drug abuse that we have to study, and that's looks baseless to me. More focus should be given to practical things rather than such subjects, which will benefit the students more. Exams are not very difficult if you study side by side.
Other: The university is in the city only. Public transportation is easily available. It is the nearest to the railway station as compared to the bus stand. There is diversity in the crowd on campus. You will see people from various places coming together at the university.

GNDU Review By Student of the university.
Placements: The placement package offered at this university is not very great, although the return on investment is very good. The highest package offered in on-campus placements is 14 LPA, while the average package is 7.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies at this university are TCS, Zscaler, and Amazon.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is very good, although the Computer Science department needs some renovation. The classrooms are very big and airy, and the library is open 24/7. Wi-Fi is provided in the library and the labs for the students. The food in the mess is average, and there are many canteens across the 500-acre campus. The sports facilities provided at GNDU are great.
Faculty: The professors are highly knowledgeable and are always ready to help the students. The course curriculum ensures that the students are industry-ready. The first year of the university is focused on the personality development of the students. The exams are held regularly twice per semester.
Other: The events and fests of the university are very cultural, and there are many extracurricular activities in this university.
