Disappointed with intolerant (narrow minded) people (students and lecturers)
Placements: The major companies that come to this college are Infosys and Wipro. I got placed in Infosys along with 4 other students out of 115 students who appeared the placement session conducted by Infosys. Around 7 to 9 students were placed in Wipro (14 in total including Infosys and Wipro) in my batch and were offered the position of Systems Engineer and Software Developer. Once students are placed in a company there are not allowed to sit for further placements (if the package offered is low as compared to the placed company). Companies like Infosys and Wipro offer 3.2 lakh package, which is the maximum. Other companies like Shield Watch and Suderlan Infotech also visit the campus (NIST, Berhampur) where they hire students to work for customer assistance/support (call center). Some students got internship at BSNL and they had to work without any stipend and were instead expected to pay for it.
Infrastructure: The entire college has 2 buildings, 1 was a MBA block (which is abandoned currently and sold to a local college) and another is the main block. And of course, there is a ground which is out of maintenance. The facilities include, WiFi, Classrooms, Library, Sports (cricket, volley ball), Computer labs and Books. The labs use outdated computers, among which, half of them doesn't turn on. The food provided by the hostel mess was so pathetic that I had to leave my hostel and had to rent a room with 2 other friends. I was in hostel for 2 years (during the course duration of 4 years) and the rooms where spacious and good. Except that, they had rented that hostel and now they have shifted it to a different place. Now the hostel is nearly 20kms far away from the college.
Faculty: There is only one lecturer who is very good and above average (Mr. Ajay Anand), who is a pass out from MIT, USA. I did my major project under him and was awarded the best project award for developing an open source browser based simulator for CNC lathe turning. The teaching methods under use over there are absolute, and you can hardly find a person without a backlog. I had 20 backlogs in tenure of 4 years (although, I've cleared them). The course curriculum is designed by BPUT (the university to which the college is affiliated to) and they follow really good curriculum as compared to the international standards (also the books they provide are excellent). But the sad part is, they teach students so that they can pass the exam not to excel at something. There is a pre-placement training, which starts in 3rd year and generally the placements happen in 4th year. The student to faculty ratio was around 40:1, (currently 30:2). The total number of students have now reduced to less than 100.
Other: Overall, they charged me 4 lakhs for the course and I didn't pretty much get what I expected. Teachers will never want a guy and girl together, nor do they have broad insights about social life and goodness, instead they are highly judgemental over almost everything. The only thing I'm happy with in this college was, I didn't waste my time, as my attendance was 20% yet I had no issues to attend the final exams and hence I used that time efficiently learning programming and other soft skills.

College is not good. Infrastructure is not so good. Faculty is average. Placement is also not good.
Placements: Placement is not so good but all because is not so famous college. After completing the course one have to get job on his own skills. One should develop his skills in order to get a better job. On the basis of college, no company will heir you. My seniors placement was not good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is not so good. As the college is not so famous and reputed because its infrastructure is bad. The components and the instruments are very bad and are very old. Computers doesn't works properly. As we all know that education has become an only business so colleges are to earning money their aim is not to provide knowledge. Their target is to provide degree and earn money. Because of these reasons, more than 60% of engineers are unemployed. There lots of things to tell about the Indian education system.
Faculty: Faculty is not bad but education system is not so good. I don't think that on the basis of college knowledge I can get job. I will have to develop more extra skills to get a good job. Actually our education system is old and problems are new so we are not able to grow up. We have changed our mentality.
