Zero peer-to-peer catering despite having such a small pool of students.
Placements: There were literally 10% of placements offered to the whole batch, despite the college's USP of 100% placement when we applied. Our seniors got 100% placed, but currently, there is a serious demand for designing roles, while options like FC and other retail roles seem to be dead-end options in this era. The internship experience was pretty good.
Infrastructure: The labs are meant to be well-equipped, yet there are serious issues regarding the functionality of the software, and the computers are often too outdated to run new versions. The hostel food is something I would personally not recommend to anyone, as it is not prepared in hygienic conditions in the boys' hostel. One serious issue is that when there are problems, they refer you to HM College, saying the boys' hostel comes under their jurisdiction. However, when fines are imposed for hostel issues, they don't communicate with the management of the same college, and this only applies to the boys' hostel.
Faculty: Only 2-3 faculty members genuinely care, while others expect you to know everything. There is a significant issue with some faculty holding grudges against students and failing them, which can destroy careers. The college is relatively easy, and semesters are easy to pass; the only thing that needs attention is the practical work and how well you get along with the faculty.

AIFD gives the best placement to every student studying there.
Placements: Hii, I'm Priya from AIFD Bangalore Karnataka. My batch is 2023 to 2026. As a student I can assure you that AIFD provides 100 percent placements after the completion of the course. Top companies such as Zara, Raymond, Rare rabbit, Best seller come to provide placements. The average package is above 6 Lacs. Jobs given by the companies are virtual merchandising, stylist, retail etc. College has awesome facilities and faculty who will support you throughout your course and provide friendly environment. AIFD has free Wi-Fi in college and hostel and have 40 computers, 2 stitching lab, photography studio etc.
Infrastructure: AIFD has air conditioning classrooms and provides free Wi-Fi and an awesome library associated with British council. The quality of food is good as compared to other hostels in India. As it is an army college, the rules are really strict. They organize tournaments and sports activities.
Faculty: AIFD has the best experienced teachers who help every student and are friendly. The course consists of 3 years, which includes 6 semesters and every semester has two test exam and a final exam, which is conducted by North Bangalore University. The university conducts both theory and practical exam in presence of an external investigator.

AIFD is a good college for pursuing Fashion and Design .
Placements: AIFD provides decent placement opportunities for all the final year students, the institute has a 100% placement history. The salary package is also fairly good, AIFD is ranked 13th all over India for placements. The top recruiting companies of AIFD are Puma, Nike, Homecentre, Arvind, H&M, Uniqlo. These companies come to the campus each year to recruit students. All the students get internships and all of them get placed however placements mostly happen in Visual Merchandising and Retail sector due to the demand.
Infrastructure: The campus strength is fairly less compared to all the other colleges therefore the infrastructure of the college is also relatively small however all the facilities such as lab, library, visual merchandising labs are provided by the institute. The infrastructure of the hostel is excellent, the washrooms and cloth drying areas are very clean. The quality of food keeps varying but it is satisfactory.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and they have a great understanding of their subject, some teachers can improve their style of teaching. The institute is affiliated to Bangalore north university therefore the syllabus is directly liked to the board, the syllabus is relevant but they can increase our internship period. Semester exams are not hard to crack they are easy.
Other: The best thing about AIFD is the attention teachers give to their students, the quality of students can be improved, the institute needs more active and passionate students. The institute conducts an annual fashion show known as Dapple which gets media coverage.

The college follows good academic culture and strict discipline, but they are student friendly.
Placements: There is a placement cell which provides the placement to each student of the batch according to their academic performance and their personality. When I went to my final year, the companies like Adidas, Nike, Puma, Zara, and retail companies like Apple and BlackBerry visit the college for placements. The highest salary package offered was 5.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college is known for its innovative ideas of art in the study area. The college has the reputed facilitates like the lawn of art, which is situated just in front of the study area. The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi campus, and the college has two computer labs having 45-50 computers in each. The academic building has seven air-conditioned classrooms, two stitching labs, a reception room, two visual merchandising mock room, and one advanced fabrication and an analysis lab. Apart from the academic building, the campus has two football ground, one basketball court, and three badminton court.
Faculty: The college just not reputed for its success in well-known art events and national modelling shows, but also for their developers who carve the students into fine jewels to perform in academic as well as in the field of their interest. The faculty are good, knowledgeable, and they care for their students. The faculty members become strict, sometimes.
Other: The college has hosted different events like skill competition. Every year, the college organises its well-known fashion show named Design Dapple which is one of the well-known design shows in Karnataka.
