Average college with a high tuition fee.
Placements: No reputed companies visited the campus. Only some BPOs like Sutherland came and took the test for placement. However, the college took us out for open campus interviews. The highest salary grabbed was about 10 lakhs per annum for a girl in CSE department. The lowest salary offered was 8k. Very few students continued in the fields they were placed in. Rest went for higher studies. After a year, most of my friends discontinued from the job. If you want a job, you have to find it yourself. No core company is going to visit here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The lab facilities are below average. All instruments needed are not there. There is no Wi-Fi or language lab. The medical facilities are good. At the time of our studies, we saw that cafeteria and public places were transformed into classrooms. You have to be very careful while using their property. If anything is damaged, you will be charged ten times or more.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are inexperienced. They use notes from other colleges to teach you and they won't care about your internal marks or attendance. If you behave well and please all the staff members, you will get good marks in internals, otherwise you won't. There won't be enough specialised teachers in all subjects. So you don't get options to select your elective subject. It will be chosen based on the availability of staff.
Other: In the beginning, it was very strict about dress code and discipline, now it's not. And one important thing to my fellow juniors who wish to join here: There won't be any importance given to the college you study in unless it is an IIT. And KTU is not that popular anyway. Anna University is much better. It is easy to score there and there is the option to get a work visa in Australia. Only very few IITs provide this.
