Asian Christian Culinary and Agricultural Sciences Institute (ACCASI), located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu is a constituent unit of the Asian Christian Academy (ACA) which was established in 1976. The ACA farm not only produces myriad crops and fruits but also accommodates goats, fish, chickens, ducks, cows, etc. Asian Christian Culinary and Agricultural Sciences Institute aims to create a sustainable food system to support farmers and promote healthy diets within communities. Further, ACCASI is India’s first culinary institute with the unique concept called Farm-to-Table to impart knowledge through International diploma in Food Preparation & Culinary Arts, Diploma in Food Preparation, Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery programmes.
The college offers 1 diploma and 2 certificate programmes to students to train them for various career paths in the culinary field. It follows the farm-to-table concept and encourages the idea of purchasing fresh products directly from the farmers. ACCASI curriculum includes culinary arts, agricultural sciences, and business skills while ensuring the utmost attention to each student. Asian Christian Culinary and Agricultural Sciences Institute campus has small size classrooms to accommodate only 30 students to provide personal attention.
