A glimpse of electronics and telecommunication branch at AEI, Guwahati.
Placements: In this branch, above 50% of students get placements. Others are going for B.Tech or another field. The average salary package offered in this course is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Jio, BSNL, Airtel, TTS, ONGC, and IOCL. All students get internships from Assam-based companies. The top roles offered in this course are technical consultant, junior engineer, system engineer, telecom engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The department is well constructed. There are no air-conditioners but sufficient fans are available. The lab rooms are cool. The main library of the institute is open for all students along with the department library. No Wi-Fi is available for students. There are 3 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel is available. The environment of the hostel is very good and the campus is ragging-free also. The food facility is nice in comparison to PG in that area. The canteen of the institute is closed from covid time. Sufficient medical facilities are available for all the students and staff members.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members of our college are very helpful and well skilled. They are always looking to care for students on all sides. Especially, HoD mam is too nice and professional for her duty. All teachers always advise students to build a good career with respect to their interests. Teaching quality is advanced. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 90-100% and the difficulty level of semester exams is moderate.
Other: Assam Engineering Institute is one of the best polytechnic colleges in Assam. So the students come here from every corner of Assam. The college is highly recommended.

I am extremely satisfied with the college.
Placements: Around 40-50% of the students get placed in our college every year. The salary package offered ranges from 3 LPA to 8 LPA. Top companies like Syska, Bajaj, Oil India Ltd, etc., visit our college. Around 70-75% of the students go for internship programs. Assistant officer, programming head, developer, etc., are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good and compact infrastructure yet has very variations to it. The classes are almost digital but for better teacher-student interaction, the college still prefers to less digital mode. As I was from the ETE branch we didn't face any difficulties in the lab. The library is pretty good and all the books related to the course are available. Hostel is good and the food served is are also good. There is a hospital near our college. Students also actively participate in sports events. So the college union organises sports events every year.
Faculty: Top faculty members of our state are teaching in this institute. So there is no compromise in teaching quality. They all are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant to today's time. Therefore around 70-75% of students got placed in companies like oil-based companies. Semester exams are moderately tough.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in studying electronics and communication systems. The best thing is the branch is emerging a lot of job opportunities throughout the year. There is no big event in this college but every year college organises college week and that's fun.

Placements are good, and students with financial problems can easily afford this college.
Placements: Around 40-50% of our course students got placed. The highest salary package offered is around 7-8 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is around 2-3 LPA, and the average salary package offered is somewhere between 3-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were IOCL, BRPL, Indian Railways, PWD, etc. Most of the students got internships from our course in companies and industries like BRPL, IOCL, PWD and Indian Railways. Executive engineers are the top role offered.
Infrastructure: The institute is well-managed, and the infrastructure is in good shape. Some classrooms are very old and are not up to the mark. However, they are building new classrooms with the latest technologies. Labs are well-functional, and the library is good enough to provide everything. I used to stay in a rented room, but according to my friends, the hostel food is good. They serve non-vegetarian food twice a week. The canteen is not good, and most of the students eat outside. There are no medical facilities inside the college. For sports and games, they have a huge field outside the college.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and well-qualified. They try everything for a better understanding of the students. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are pretty hard, but it is not hard if students regularly attend their classes and study their notes given by teachers. The overall pass percentage was over 95%.
Other: I am interested in electronics and telecommunications, so I have chosen this course. The best thing about our course is it is very exciting to use different types of electronic devices. I wish the college to provide students with more devices and machines for practical work. Events are held every year in the early years, and the campus crowd is good. The college is located in a prime location, and students can easily access transportation facilities. Scholarships are also provided for eligible students. They also held many extracurricular activities throughout the year.
