B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2017

Aurora is a good college and provides good placements, faculty, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: We had good placements in our college. In our batch, around 60% of the students got placed in top MNCs, and they were offered a salary package of 3.2 LPA. Top MNCs like Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Dell, Deloitte, etc., visited our campus last year and offered both technical and non-technical roles to our batch. Many students got internships in manufacturing companies like Mahindra, Hyundai etc. They were offered a minimum stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month. Internships were helpful to many students.
Infrastructure: Our college had a digital library, Wi-Fi, and many labs. We have an incubation centre. Classrooms are large and have good ventilation. The infrastructure is good. Quality of food available in the canteen was good. They provided healthy and delicious food to the students. Hostel rooms were good. We did not face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good and helpful to students. They teach the subject in a simple way that the students can understand easily. There were 3 faculty members for every subject. We have 10 doctorate holders in our college. The course curriculum was changed every year.
Other: Our college conducted many events and fests every year. We conducted cultural fests and annual day events in the auditorium. All the students participated in extracurricular activities.

Experienced staff are needed.
Placements: Placements are good for the other branches than the mechanical engineering, and civil engineering departments. Most of the companies offered only BPO jobs. There are no chances of getting campus placements in the core field for the students of respective branches.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi connectivity in the whole campus. There is no proper function of machines in the labs. The library is good, and we get all departmental books there. Sports facilities are good but there is no personal trainer in the campus, and there is no medical facility.
Faculty: There are no experienced faculty members in all departments. Only a few experienced faculty like one or two are there from the department. There are only two experienced professors in the whole campus, and most of the staff are non-experienced because of which students are facing a problem.
Other: Events and fests are conducted on our campus. Campus crowd is good, and the surroundings are peaceful.

Good labs, poor infrastructure, and placements.
Placements: No proper placements were offered for our batch. They brought non-core companies like Genpact and Amazon and offered a call centre job which is not related to our core branch. They even didn't provide the internship through the college. The student has to search on their own to get the internship.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is average. The lab's facilities are very good for our branch. The classroom maintenance is poor. They have a low collection of books in the library, and the collected books are also outdated books. The college doesn't provide any hostel rooms. The quality of the food available in the canteen is also average, and the college is under construction since 7 -8 years and still going on.
Faculty: Some of the professors are helpful in clearing the doubt, but they are not much available to the students. Some teachers don't cover the whole syllabus, and most of the teachers have a low profile to our branch. The teacher even doesn't provide current technologies to the student. They teach only what is on the books.

I prefer to rate this college as 1.5 out of 5.
Placements: They do not provide the placements for either the mechanical, the civil or the electrical engineering students. They only bring BPOs or call centre jobs that too only a few companies come. They do not even provide the internship to the students through the college. The students have to search for the internships on their own.
Infrastructure: It has a low infrastructure. This college is far from the city, and there is no proper road made. There is a less collection of books in the library. No medical facilities are provided. We have a poor sports ground. We have average sports and games fests. But the lab facilities are great in the college. The Wi-Fi facility is available at some places only.
Faculty: The faculty and the student's bond is average. Some of the faculty members are low profile qualified faculty like they have just completed their B.Tech graduation. Some the other faculty members are well qualified with more knowledge about the subjects, but they are not much available to the students.

Those who have interest in their self-study and research can join.
Placements: There is a good placement opportunity for CSE and ECE and very rare for mechanical and civil departments. The college provides campus recruitment training for final year students with some training institutes. There will a placements opportunities in and off the campus at sister colleges of the Aurora. The highest salary offered in the campus package is around 4.6 lakhs per annum, and least is around 1.2 lakhs per anum.
Infrastructure: The college is provided with super fine laboratories with well-equipped machinery, circuits and systems. The college also has W-F- throughout the college working times. The quality food in the college is not up to the mark. There is a cricket ground on the college campus. The peace and calm environment around the campus provides interest to the students for learning. The college has a very good number of books in the library provided with two weeks of time for students with 3 books per cycle.
Faculty: Previously, the college used to have the good number of experienced and skilled faculty. Now, it turned out to be worst except few. Mostly the college has M.Tech finished faculty dealing with most subjects and very core, and important subjects are dealt with the senior faculty.
