The college is very good and impressive as it also focuses on co-curricular activities.
Placements: 40% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered was 8 LPA, and the average package offered was 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Infosys etc. Most of the students got placed. Software developer, drive test engineer, manager, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. Our department has all the facilities required for students, like Wi-Fi, classrooms, and a library. All are very good. The quality of the hostel facilities is really impressive. The quality of food available in mess and canteen is good. Medical facilities are okay.
Faculty: All the teachers are good, helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is relevant. Students are made industry-ready. The semester exams are not much difficult, but the questions are from the syllabus only.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2019

Good Infrastructure but poor placement facility.
Placements: Our batch consisted of 37 students in ECE branch, out of which only 20-25 were looking to be placed in MNC. Rest were planning to go abroad for further studies. Our of the 20-25 students looking for job only 8-10 were placed. Because for ECE branch only 1or 2 companies were there for on-campus drive. We also tried to get placed in IT companies that came for on-campus placements for CSE and IT. But we were only informed on the spot or only 1 day before. The lowest salary offered was 2.6 Lacs per annum and the highest offered salary was 3.36 Lacs per annum and average salary offered was 2.9 Lacs per annum for ECE Branch. For IT branch and CSE branch top recruiters were Catalyst, Cognizant, TCS, etc. And for ECE it was EESPL, Mohali and Jio. Top role offered was System Engineer and Assistant Application Developer. Only 10-20% got internship in top companies like Wipro, BSNL, Jio, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available 24 hrs in college campus and hostels, etc. Labs are good and contain almost every experiment equipment. Our college ID card was also considered for Library Book Issue purpose. RF Readers are used for issuing books for fast process. Hostel food is quite nice as compared to neighboring colleges. Canteen contractors are shifted for improvement of food quality and Hygiene. Sports facilities are good. Anyone can get chess boards, volleyball, football, basketball, etc. From the Sports Complex by showing them ID card. Medical facilities are also good they even have a B.Ed for the students that are not feeling well and needs rest. Others can get any medicine from the college dispensary.
Faculty: Teachers were moderate qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was quite good as per knowledge. Teachers were very helpful as if they were unable to help they every time suggested alternatives even if it counts taking help from other teacher irrespective of taking in account their pride and ego. Course curriculum was a bit irrelevant before but recently they changed the curriculum which is quite relevant and advanced.
Other: An ECE can be placed anywhere and is eligible to sit in any companies placement drives. That's why I chose ECE as my branch. My interest was in IT but due to competition and unavailability of seats I chose this wonderful alternative. The suggested improvement can be the college staff in our department is slightly more than the needed staff. So, maybe the no. Of teachers should be taken in account for need. Teachers should get periodic training to develop their skills. The college organizes Various Youth Fest, Science Fest, and Sports Tournaments throughout the year.

Somehow satisfied because of faculty members but otherwise go for overseas studies or Chitkara.
Placements: Honestly speaking for ECE as such there is nothing, otherwise college is quite good but I recommend Chitkara over BBSBEC as they have good placement ratio. Particularly in my batch nobody was placed from college end. Moreover on that time they didn't assist us during our internship period, thus on the behalf of placement and internships it was totally zero.
Infrastructure: From the point of infrastructure, it's actually good You ll be provided with the latest technology and infrastructure with fully AC campus (new block) But in case of labs they are like others only as they do not have proper instruments and operations. But the best part is they do have PCB Fabrication lab.
Faculty: Look course curriculum is provided by PTU only so nobody can change that but in case of faculty, those are good one, Personally I would like to recommend Mr. Daljit Singh Bajwa and MS. Navpreet kaur not only for their knowledge part but also for the way of lecturer delivering techniques as well as personal attention.
Other: At my time as such there were no fests although 2016 onwards they do have these kind of activities.

Everything in this college is average except for the infrastructure.
Placements: The training and placement cell is quite disappointing. You have to work hard for getting placed through this college. Better do something of your own instead of living with the false expectations. Though the college environment is good, the teachers are average. The faculty can be rated as average. 6.5/10.
Infrastructure: It is quite an old college. They are building some new blocks. So it is a combination of the old and the new technologies. So, you can find the best as well as an average infrastructure here and there. But I must say that the new infrastructure is far better and advanced. Infrastructure-wise, I would like to rate it as 7.5/10. Event-wise, this college is average. You don't find any singer in most of the events.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helping. I found that all the teachers are sensible and eager to help. In terms of knowledge, some of them have enough knowledge while the others have below average. When I studied, most of the teachers had to teach different subjects in every new semester. So they didn't have any expert teachers on a particular subject.

Do not make the mistake which I already did.
Placements: If I speak honestly then their placement drive is not up to the mark. The placement and training cell out there do not make such efforts to invite good companies and I don't think that even 10 students of my batch were placed through college placement drive. At last, I would like to say that do not get admitted in this college on the basis of its placement drive.
Infrastructure: I would like to give an average rating to its infrastructure because every kind of basic equipment is available out there but students do not pay about 1 lakh fee for these basic equipment. I am sure that this college was constructed in 1994 and there has not been any update in its infrastructure after that.
Faculty: Faculty of the college is much better than its infrastructure and placement drive but some of the faculty members are pretty rude which push it on the back. The course curriculum is not well-organised. Teachers do not take practicals seriously, which is according to me the crucial part of engineering.
