A good college but sometimes seems average like other colleges

Placements: The placement of this college, we can say, neither bad nor too good. Approximately 388 students got a placement among CE, ME, EEE, CSE, IT, EE and ECE branches. The average package was 6.5 LPA by Think and Learn. The most often visiting companies were Amazon, L&T, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. The internship facility is good Overall, all the branches have a chance to get a job.

Our college deviated due to new faculty but it is good in terms of infrastructure

Placements: It was not too good but we can say that it was average. The placement was in my college was based on only communication skills. Approx 40% got placed. The highest salary: 5.0 LPA (1 student). The lowest: 1.4 LPA. The average: 1.8 LPA. Except for Tech Mahindra and Bentley, all are BPO companies (Think and Learn, Amazon, etc.) All came for call center and tech support profiles. The internship: 4-5 (8,000).

Best college for MBA for a low course fee.

Placements: Few MNCs visit every year. For example- Standard Chartered Bank, Citi Bank, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini. Placement in other companies is also offered by the college as the college is maintained by SKS Group of Institutions. Very good placement is offered to the IT students. For MBA, few companies from the manufacturing sector come for placement.

Not fully satisfied with the college

Placements: Placements of my batch are average but placements of software students are good. 50% students are placed in companies with small packages. There are many companies like Tech Mahindra, Bentley system, Assi Glasses, BYZU, etc. No company comes for core students with high packages.

Very good infrastructure with good faculty but placement is like a nightmare

Placements: The placement for core branches is very pathetic but for non-core branches, it is good enough. For core branches, below 5% got placed and for non-core branches, more than 70% students got placed from the campus recruitment. The average salary was 2 lakhs, the lowest salary was 1.2 lakhs and the highest was 3.26 lakhs offered at the time of placements. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Byju's and some small marketing company also visited our campus. Associate system engineer, international voice...

Quite satisfied by the placement this year.

Placements: In the previous year, about 40-50% of the students got placed. Many of the students were placed in TCS, Tech Mahindra, Think and Learn Collabera, Asilicon etc. Apart from these companies, many were placed in other companies also. But they didn't bring any core company to the campus.

BCET needs a lot of improvement.

Placements: Only 25-30% students get placed (all branches of B. Tech). Placement is not at all good in this college. Many colleges in Kolkata are a better option for B.Tech. The placement cell is not very supportive. The college placement used to be very good till 2013. After that, the quality of the college degraded.

Faculty of my college are best and they do their work very well.

Placements: The placement is very good. Till now, 65% of students of my batch are placed in different companies. The highest salary is 6 lacs per annum offered by Think and Learn. In the past years, placements were good. There are my companies visiting my college campus like TCS, Think and Learn, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, CTS etc.

Review for Bengal College of Engineering, Durgapur.

Placements: The placement percentage is good at almost 60 70%. Mass recruiting companies, as well as core companies for each department, visit the campus every year. The placement cell is very effective and people over there are pretty helpful as well.

Best college in Durgapur with Makaut Affiliation.

Placements: The college has a good placement record. Many companies visited for campus placement like BPOs, Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, and some local companies too. Pool campus placement is also done. More than 40% students have been placed in various companies. Companies are still visiting.

Reality was totally different from expectations.

Placements: The opportunities for Electrical Engineering students were not that good in my batch as well as in senior batches. Mostly, software companies turned up for the placements. It would be better if some electrical companies come. Around 30 percent students got placed. Highest salary was 4.8 LPA and the average salary was 3 LPA. All the students got an internship from the college.
